Huge thanks, this has made it easy for me to decide that QuickBooks is right for me
Amazing! Good luck with it all :D
This video was super helpful, especially seeing that my account is also available on my desktop! i didn't know that hahaha
Glad it helped! do let me know if anymore content would be useful :D
Very helpful video, if I started self employment several months ago, and only now sign up for QBSE, if I register my bank accounts I’ve been using for expenses/income, will this backdate all my transactions or only show the ones since I join ?
This is a great video to learn the basics and easy to understand! 👏
Courier who never kept receipts because I never thought I would stick at the job. Done 2 tax returns. I have looked through bank statements to roughly pick out business expenses and income since I started.
Can I go back and create things for previous tax years to potentially resubmit to hmrc after getting it all checked over?
Cheers for the vid buddy 👍🏻. My main bugbear is that it hasn’t released a iPad specific app as yet, there is one which will load but it’s just designed for the iPhone. Missing a trick there me thinks.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
iPad app for QuickBooks Online - but not currently for Self employed
Great video tutorial thank you, is there a way to send an estimate/quote from QB self employed?
Not yet... but watch this space 😜
I want to start this year I started half way through so I want to delete old transactions pre april 2023 is there a way to do this. I have worked how to delete mileage and invoices but I cant seem to do this ref all /excluded transactions ??
Thank you man, just started my new business and it took off much faster than expected and now keeping google doc is just not cutting it.
Thank you !
I'm guessing of this info can be used on the laptop. I try not to use my phone for work stuff. Eye strain.
Aaron, is there a way to create new categories with QBSE, the QB one's don't really fit my business type?
You can't on QBSE unfortunately
Does quick book self employed also allow you to run a month end, deprecation , p&L, balance sheet, prepayments and accruals ? Is the nominal ledger editable ?
No, only income and expenses - you will need QuickBooks Online for this functionality
How do i get my trial balance from qbse to export into my tax return
I was fully prepared to have to enter all my transactions from this year manually. Now you just connect your bank and its all there! Is bookkeeping even a job anymore?
Bookkeepers are still needed to ensure its all correct :D
I thought there would be more about the importance of adding reciepts to every transaction you swipe for business. Is therean automatic way to bring over receipts from emails. Thought i seen that when logging in first time
You can automate this by adding forwarding rules to your emails
I have a joint bank account, we both get paid into that joint account and our bills come out of that joint account as well as daily spending/saving…
Difference being that my partner is paid through Paye and I’m paid through self employed. So how would this work?
Do I mark just my income as income and deduct my spending as business/personal and then mark all of her stuff on quickbooks as personal?
yeah that would work - but for business i would highly recommend a separate bank account
Single memebr llc pressure washing business. Lots of expenses, and lots of invoices. Should i use this or qb online
QB online for sure, head over to our store for a discount 👍
Do you have to link.yoir account or can it be done manually without
mannually - but much qucker to add the accouint
How do we record cash income and expenditure? There doesn’t seem to be a cash account.
No need, its not a double entry solution
You can’t split items in the browser version. Pretty big screwup
What happens tax return wise if I start this app half way through the tax year?
you can back date the missing dates
Once you have a photo of the receipt, can you throw it away?
Yeah, the digital copy is ok for HMRC
Hey everyone! Is there a chat of accounts for ATM business owners? My client needs to put money in her ATMs what are the accounts are affected?
...chart
Depends what the cash is for
What happens with this if you are in receipt of a pension as well as running your own business. How does it take into account the pension
QBSE only accounts for the business income - the pension income will be a separate section of your tax return
@@TheQuickBooksChap If I'm paying into a pension scheme what should I be categorising that payment as in QBSE? Looked everywhere on the internet, you're my only hope!
@@RussAppleby mark as personal 🙃 you make the adjustment in the tax return itself 👍
@@TheQuickBooksChap Legend thank you 😊
didnt help at all
FIRST RULE OF PUBLIC SPEAKING: SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!! Your hearers have zero access to your brain, only to the sounds that come out of your mouth. Plus, people all over the globe have to adjust to your regional accent (no matter what that region is). So SLOW DOWN!!!!!!
Older video... pace is much better in future videos :D
