I loved the original playthrough. I'm so happy this game is getting more recognition and praise lately. The sequel is a welcomed surprise.

KCD IS one of the best games I’ve ever played … it was the first RPG I ever played … I have no interest in games like dark souls or Elden ring Skyrim etc etc with all the gay sorcery 😂 ( even though I do have Skyrim I played for about 4 hours and got bored )

I built a new computer in preparation for the new Kingdom Come - I built a 7800X3D and a GPU 7900XTX. I'll go with a 4090 if I need to when it comes out. He was 16 years old!!!

I saw you talking about this game so much before it launched that when I first heard Henry talk I thought it was actually your voice.
I purchased this game & all the dlc’s a few weeks ago but didn’t play it long. I watched your video on the new games trailer. I’m excited to see this play through to get a better understanding of the combat etc.
After your first official training with Bernard, you have to come to him on your own after some quest and ask for additional training to learn master strikes and combos which makes the combat easier. This is the part where the game doesn't tell you that you need more training, you have to come and ask Bernard on your own.

Jeez! I missed that on my 2 play throughs. His father calls him “ blue blooded idler”. And, sure, it could just be a nice little jab but old hands know it’s more! Nicely done, warhorse
Remember to make use of the training rings. People do the intro training in the village before the attack and then the one i think was part of the main story in rattay (might not be rattay, the place you flee to after the attack on skalitz). Two training sessions does not a fighter make😂.
A little known fact is that you can use the sparring square multiple times. Not only does fighting get easier as you actually level up the skills (i think it got very noticeably better when you hit 5/10 in the skill lines) but as you do the sparring sessions you actually get a better handle on the mechanics (will admit gamepad controls were better than mouse and board for me)
Train multiple times with bernard and i think robard in thalmberd is available as well. Fighting will get much easier once you actually make use of the training mechanic properly.
Just bought this game out today. I have been eyeing it for awhile, and finally decided to take the plunge. Hoping to get a lot of hours out of it, as it looks pretty cool.

Just recently, within the past six months did a full on playthrough up until the final 2-3 quests. I couldnt bring myself to finish it. The announcement of KC:D2 couldn't have been better timed.

Owe u a big thank u for putting me on kingdom come back during covid. Have had several play throughs now and it’s on my list for one of my favorite rpgs. Really nothing else like it and couldn’t be more excited for KD2
Played it back in 2018 on PS4, now I’m enjoying a replay on PC. Awesome game and fantastic attention to detail in everything from cities, buildings, weapons, armors, dialogue to combat. It would have been cool with enemy cities to conquer, more stories and more weapons. Looking forward to KCD2!!
I started the game 2 days ago, and has been one of the most amazing adventures I have ever experienced so far! 2nd must be nuts!!
I started replaying this again after Thursday and had my original save from 2018 and a 2nd one I'd started in 2021 with 300 hours played 😂. Been enjoying the playthrough this time around as much as the first time!
I loved the role playing in that game. During the day, I was Henry, The Protector of the Weak. Once the night came, I slipped into my black low-noise attire and robbed the entire city.

ESO, I bought and played this game specifically due to your reviews and playthroughs of KCD. Its amazing and very well worth the effort required to keep going through the little idiosyncrasies of the game mechanics. Still found myself many times just stopping in a forest somewhere or at a town and saying to myself, "wow this is the most beautiful game I've ever seen or played." Its the level of realism that keeps it interesting. You can be leveled up to the max with all the best weapons and armor and STILL get your ass handed to you by a small band of shirtless thugs with sticks on a lonely road if your not careful. Love it!
Don’t forget to visit Bernard to learn counter attacks. Makes fighting much easier

A masterpiece of a game. The story, voice and music, mesmerizing graphics, animations, combat and the realism make it for a really special experience. The slow intro is actually really well done and appropriate. (RDR also excellent in that regard) it has weight, it grounds you in the world and it's excellent they did not rush it. It lets you soak everything in. This is such a special game that i am actually affraid the sequel might fall short and don't have the magic of the first.
Fuck yeah dude! Your first play through is what got me into KCD in the first place and it quickly became my favorite game. Jesus Christ be praised!

I was thrilled by it at the time, got it, but never found the time to play it. So many games, so little time...
I revisited my original play through last year, as I never played the band of bastards DLC, I was wandering around the map and went through a complete village that was empty, loads of houses, shacks and businesses, I was really confused, but then remembered how realistic the game is, and the fact that I failed to cure the village of Merhojed from the plague, because my Henry couldn't read (spent more time doing tourneys to get better at combat) during the monastery quest line, and all of its villagers were dead, and are still dead 5 years later, the village has 2 inhabitants and that's it.
Such a great game and can't wait for 2.

I just bought this game in the sale on PC. Got a gaming PC now. I only ever played the PS4 version. It's been really fun playing this game again.

I've been trying to keep playing Skyrim, fallout, zelda, farcry, etc.. year after year seeking rpg fun. I just started this game a few days ago and it's the first time I've felt invested in a game/character. Henry @ level 6 right now & thriving 😎

You get the lockpicks from your friends if you first fail to get the stuff from Kunesh, and then do the smear the house bit, and then talk to your buddies. Then you can really go to town and rob Skalitz dry. Which really helps with cleaning out Talmberg castle because you've got better skills
Has anyone realized the crucial plot flaw where Sir Radzig flees Skalitz to Talmberg where Henry is at and SOMEHOW they dont cross paths and Henry doesnt give him the sword lol He then goes on to lose the sword for no reason on the bury his parents quest when he had every opportunity to give it to Radzig when he showed up to Talmberg....
You're really missing out without hardcore! No map icon or compass is so immersive and combat is pretty challenging. All negative perks is fun too if you're a masochist

I hope we learn about his father's life in KCD2, seeing him carve through Cumans like a cake wearing peasants clothes reminded me that he was him.
Warhorse cares so much about their games which is much more than can be said for companies like Ubisoft

Combat become child's play if your warfare/defense skills are high enough and you unlock master strikes.

Anyway, about the prologue, I think it deserves more love. If anything it set's the narrative for the kind of character Henry is "intended" to be. And frames his perspective on the peoples in his life before it all goes... wrong. Obviously his parent's, but there are numerous others you will stumble across on returning, most noteworthy of course would be his former sweetheart, Bianca. Henry's VA put's on a masterclass in this game, in that line you can hear Henry really choking up on finding Bianca dead. And then of course there's his utter disappointment at finding a "friend" looting. Which, if you play GOOD GUY Henry and not Chaotic Evil Henry like ESO seems to play, it's not hypocritical at all. [Because good guy Henry doesn't often loot from the dead, unless it's a bad guy, that's different]

I have a 4080 set on the ultra setting and I get 120 to 140 but in cut scenes my fps drops to 10 to 20 frames is anyone else having this issue?
Love this game! Haven't beaten it, but the thought of a sequel is awesome! The only thing I hope they change up a bit is the lock picking mechanic. It's a little janky on console. Otherwise, this game is gonna be incredible!

If you're looking for more information about KCD2, the Czech YT gaming channel "Indian - pořad o hrách" (Indian - a show about games) published a 45 min interview with the chief designer of KCD and KDC2 Prokop Jirsa, where he explains some new features (e.g. crossbows, firearms), the creators' intentions, the game systems (e.g. reputation system) and the dilemmas creators had to solve (e.g. no children). You can find it under the title: "Rozhovor o vývoji Kingdom Come: Deliverance II s vedoucím designérem hry - PVP" (Interview about the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with the game's lead designer - PVP). It's in Czech, but I convinced them to add subtitles. Hurry up before they delete my post here...

After the mission where you want to bury your parents then you have the opportunity to free roam if you have the DLCs then you get treasure maps after the mission use them to find the treasures in there are very good items

1:38:20 Can't believe they never fixed this bug. They ported the game on the Switch, fixing this bug, but didn't care to fix it on PC. That's why my hype for the second game is low. They don't care about quality control.
There's really only one thing wrong. Henry is an English name, the MC's correct name would really be Heinrich.
Actually it's Jindřich if you want to be nitpicky, but in the Middle Ages names were commonly translated, so German Heinrich and English Henry are equally correct.
@@vermull19 Yeah. Bohemia was one of the very many German kingdoms that existed before the unification. Of course, we don't know for sure if 'Henry' was a German or a local so the precise name could be either of which we mentioned.
