Small correction: they weren’t testing the force sensitivity of the clones, but rather if their blood wouldn’t degrade added m-counts. We see this in the drops of blood added to the vials while testing.
This also means omega may not be force sensitive, it’s just that her blood doesn’t degrade the m-count when added
This is the most reasonable explanation I’ve seen. I’m firmly in the belief that Omega is not force sensitive, it just doesn’t make sense.
Though Emerie continues to scare me but just irritate me. I cannot wait to see where she goes
@@NatHazelRather, she can easily be made Force Sensitive, compared to what happened to Rey.
Thus makes a lot of sense. I was wondering abt those drops
@@WolfeSaber9933 okay that definitely puts it in perspective a little more and I can get behind it 🤔
I don't think she's force sensitive however she does seem to have a greater sense of intuition than others . However it is definitely implied based on what is said she could gain for sensitivity if M count rich blood was added to her own at least. Which is very interesting considering Count Dooku at one point tried to make General Grievous force sensitive but the blood transfusion wouldn't work what is Omega has been around it could have worked
Thrawn's spirit watching the galaxy being completely conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong: "Who is the paranoid blue guy now, eh? WHO THE F*CK IS THE PARANOID BLUE GUY NOW?!"
*Fun fact:* In Legends, the kaminoan Taun We survived the Empire, the New Republic and even the Yuuzhan Vong Wars. However, she left Kamino after its cloning facilities stopped being relevant for the galaxy, working from that point on with Arkanian Microtechnologies. She would meet a terminally-ill Boba Fett again 40 years after Yavin in Vohai
Where can I find that story?

The Legacy of the Force series
Still apocrypha, the Denning-verse, but if it were possible, story beats like this and Luke Skywalker finding out about Padme's death from Artoo should be neatly kept in a worldline where the New Jedi Order books are the true endgame, with Legacy as its proper coda.
Fun facting star wars fans 😂😂😂😂
While ko sai was turned into a pair of gloves
I don’t think Omega is actually Force-Sensitive, but more like she has the type of genes that can handle a massive addition of Midichlorians. She is after all a pure clone without any modifications like the others, including the regs.
Wait....wait wait wait.
1# since clones are modified humans they are useless as test subjects
2# since they are clones, one is enough for blood samples. No need to torture all of them.
Edit: okey using clones has actual scientific merit. HeLa cell are a batch of cancer cells from a patient. Patient died but her cancer cells kept reproducing on petri dishes. Doctors realised one could use these as universal test, send pieces of it to other laboratories to grow and everyone could do unified tests.
Other thing is that we do use twins in tests, one gets a placebo drug, one real one.
Then there are the horrifying shit nazis did. "Hey let's sew twins together" why the heck not.
*Fun fact:* In Legends, Thrawn was initially planned to return as a clone, being Timothy Zahn's intention to write a novel in which Thrawn's clone would embark on an adventure with Ben Skywalker. Unfortunately, Zahn abandoned this fascinating plan after Mara was cheaply killed in the "Legacy of the Force" books.
That would have been epic, I mean Thrawn is a much more interesting character to clone than the Emperor.
@@Reddotzebra It does make you wonder what Legends could have been ended with had it been allowed to continue a few more years to tie loose ends, like the final battle with Abeloth, Jaina becoming Empress of the Fel Empire, Allana Solo saving the galaxy and so on.
Book of Sith, commentary by Darth Sidious: “Plagueis was the first to influence midi-chlorians to create life. I did not understand his work, but I am happy to take advantage of its results. My Shi’ido scientists have grown some fascinating mutants.”
Imagine Palpatine and Omega meeting face to face, THAT would be one hell of a scene.
Dave Filoni only co-wrote the pilot of this series back in Season 1 with Jennifer Corbett. Jennifer Corbett is the showrunner and also wrote Episode 3 of this season. Her name should be in the title instead of his.
Edit: Filoni has a lot less to do with Clone Wars and Bad Batch than people think. He was showrunner on Clone Wars for the first two seasons and only wrote a few episodes from Season 3 to 6. Season 7 is when he took over again.
don't showrunners have some writing input into the show their creating?
fr fr. Jennifer's not getting the credit she really deserves for this show. Filoni involvement is overstated to an extreme degree

Love this art. Thrawn's "Aaaaaaaaagh" face is hilarious af, coming from the always stoic chiss, not to mention Kinman Doriana's "I am just barely shocked" expression 😂😂😂
You spam a lot of comments
Speaking of the original Jorus C'Baoth, he was also a pretty fascinating character, being basically a Jedi with cruel intentions and personality. He was reallyncool in the "Outbound Flight" novel
I think the test subjects in the vault were Jedi that were captured during or soon after Order 66. I don't think Palps would provide a genetic sample until the process is ready, there's far too many ways someone could use that against him if they want to.
Palpatine actually looks a bit awestruck when he sees what's in the tank, that's a rare reaction from him.
Honestly the horror themes and slow burn tension really bloody worked well, surprisingly well, I’m 45 and a lifelong starwars fan and damn this was some of the most intense starwars I’ve seen
What really hit me was all the Sith iconography and writing on the floor in the vault. When I saw that, I said, "Oh S&-t!"
Jorus C'Baoth is a great example of how much the Legends authors cared about continuity. The Thrawn books from the 90's mention he was part of the by then not explored old Jedi Order, so, once the prequels came out and finally explored this Era, he was introduced in the Episode I adventure books, not to mention he later got cameos in the "Cloak of Deception" and "Darth Plagueis" novel and even the role of main antagonist in the "Outbound Flight" book.
Legends TRULY had continuity
Those were better days. Before the dark times…
My theory: The genetic source that's being used in the cloning research, is that of Anakin Skywalker. There is no better host for Palpatine's consciousness than that of a healthy, undamaged, and 20'000 M-count blank slate chosen one.
I thought the test subjects were Jedi, possibly younglings captured during order 66. But I could be wrong.
That would definitely be interesting.
Nah, it's pickled Snokes.
@@Bionickpunk bwahahahahaha! Ok, calling them that is hilarious.
It's possible the M-count came from the blood of dead jedi🤔.
Wayland? Like the Weyland-Yutani conglomerate from the Aliens franchise? Quite a fitting reference.
Episode 1 had very little dialogue and all atmosphere. Reminded me a lot of Mando season 1 in a good way
Regarding the additional (daily?) blood draws and testing after the M-count test, it is also possible that it was just for other tests or experiments going on elsewhere in the facility. I just finished watching all 3 episodes back to back and I don't think they were M-count testing the same clones each day (except for Omega), it looked more like different clones each day.
When the Bad Batch finally broke into to save Omega and Crosshair, it will be their "Hour of Joy" for sure.
Dr. Hemlock really reminds me of Silco from Arcane
I’m so glad I’m not the only person who thought that
@@meredithsmakings3068 it would’ve been nice if they designed him to have a cybernetic eye
Honestly Silco's voice reminds me a lot of Crosshair's
That vine creature thr batch run into on the old lab was creapy asf
And the fact the empire was planning to weaponise it before it got outnof control is right on track for palpatine
AM going to watch bad batch season 3 after work today can't wait
Can we talk about Omega’s George Washington ponytail for a second
I figured Omega was wearing a ponytail to get on her sister's good side. I even saw a couple of woman imperial scientist wearing a ponytail too.
@@kingnamor7777 they were such weird ponytails too. Like why the 1700s ponytails lmao
@@Kenibus I didn’t mind it at all. I honestly like the ponytail hairstyle.
Great episode.
We are getting classic Battlefront remastered! It even includes the xbox dlc that other platforms didn't get!
I still believe that this will be the explanation for Rey. Three years ago I told my friends: "What if Rey wasn't a child of one of Palpatine's clones, but a clone of Palpatine. This would explain her immense power in the Force. It is hinted that Omega may be force sensitive and if that's the case, it's possible that she was used to create a clone body for Palpatine." - Every Episode of Bad Batch and The Mandalorian, focused on cloning, strengthened my belief.
The Star Wars universe there are some serious some dark places that the Sith created in their pursuit of their goals, and there are no doubt that Plagueis also used this mountain for his experiments.
Season 3 is going to be great to watch. I can see it now.
Spooky indeed
I definitely found this to be a better season premiere than last season and I definitely thought they every episode got better as they went on, but seriously, though they gotta stop acting like the sequels were always planned out they weren’t. It’s honestly kind of sad that they keep shoving connections and hoping people won’t notice…
@Geetsly’s here’s a theory, maybe the blood sample Qui-Gon took from Ani in Ep 1 was sent to the cloners and it was used with Jango and maybe another to create Omega. Would explain her being able to support the M-Count. They did say they need a match or greater, and Ani has the highest of all known Jedi.
Wait this just came out? Damm i know what I’m doing
Would be hilarious if that mountain happened to become its own Big Empty
i have a sinking suspicion that grogu is involved somehow and perhaps in the red room. maybe as a way to increase palpatines own m count in his clones (they say equal or higher so its possible). also omega theoretically could be somehow imbued with midichlorians and not reject it i dont think itll happen but its possible based on this
Considering that the majority of the clones being tested on were genetically modified to be different then the doner and beside boba fett, Omega is the only other clone that is a complete genetic copy of Jango fett.
Book of Sith, commentary by Darth Sidious: “Plagueis was the first to influence midi-chlorians to create life. I did not understand his work, but I am happy to take advantage of its results. My Shi’ido scientists have grown some fascinating mutants.”
Have they announced what comes after the bad batch? I feel like its ending right when it get good. Honestly the clone wars and bad batch are why I still care about star wars. I hope we get another similar series
I too think they were Palpatine clones inside
I am FUCKING WORRIED FOR OMEGA
I am still wondering whose dna is used for the project necromencer palpatine is way more important for such thing maybe a Jedi (and yeah people in the comments right)
Main testing was modifying clone dna with someone who have force sensitivity to see the new sample could have m count as much as the original force sensitive in conclusion omega is not force sensitive but her dna could be used for creating a force sensitive clone
The good news is Omega and Crosshair escaped early. The bad news is Sidious said Hemlock would have anything he needs, so he can send the entire force of the Empire to hunt down Omega. The in-between news is with all the resources he'll probably be mobilizing and using for such a task many in the Empire will probably start to question why waste so many resources, especially when they no doubt aren't being told anything too concrete. Hemlock is lucky in this continuity Thrawn either hasn't been discovered just yet or is still training at the Imperia Academy because if he was an official member of the Imperial Navy at this point he'd notice all these resources being diverted away for such a task and start putting the pieces together like he did with the Death Star.
Regardless, both sides will soon come into conflict and battle will break out, after all this waiting the Clone Rebellion is nearly upon us. Let's hope it's been worth the wait and that it's just as good if not better than the original one from Battlefront 2 2005. Wow, almost 20 years since the original from Legends, and now we get the New Canon version.
3:34 nice video yet the jedi masters name is pronounced joruus sabaoth
No mention of the potential Nova Dark Trooper shown during Crosshair's last out of cell walk?
That's actually one of the Clone Assassins we see in the Clone Conspiracy episode in Season 2
I liked the premiere but I’m a huge clone wars fan. I think this season should have been a movie but it’s probably because I’m impatient…
What if they are also trying to replicate the m-count of the chosen one
It's possible that the M-count came from the blood of dead Jedi.
Omega"s blood samples were tossed by the Kaminoan scientist. My question is Whose blood triggered the "machine"?
Dave Filoni isn't' working on bad batch season three it's really Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett. It was for season 2 as well. I think Corbett has done well with the bad batch with the direction of disney wanting it more episodic. Still probably best Star Wars since Andor/Mando Season 2 Chapter 15 the Believer.
Who's the strongest bad batch character?
I doubt they are clones of Palpatine, I am guessing they are captured Force sensitives, probably mostly younglings.
I didn’t really enjoy that much of the 2nd season, but these episodes were really good
It seems rather obvious at this point that Filoni is attempting to add information which will make the sequels less terrible. Remedying at least some of the errors with it so he can try repairing some of the damage by using good shows like this one to correct them where possible.
The question is whether he'll go past the sequels chronologically and turn the timeline in a good direction, or just continue with earlier stories. Ideally, we'd see more like this where the sequels' failings are reduced until there's no further way to improve in that area, then go past them a bit to make sure continuing story at least starts well.
Wait didnt Disney completely Yeet Medichlorians `?
I don’t think that those containers had Palpatine clones; my theory is that those containers have whatever few Jedi were still left after Order 66 but captured instead of being killed by the clones and thus brought to Mt. Tantiss
Won't lie, however, Mt. Tantiss has not given me a sense of unforgettable awe compared to, hmm, Project CADMUS (alongside a certain superhero legacy plan that literally bore fruit in one of the best cartoon sequels of all time... nope, not gonna spoil that) in the DC Animated Universe, the Newtype Elpeo Ple program in Universal Century Gundam, and ESPECIALLY the Kaminoans' clone army quickly and efficiently formed on 32 BBY before the Naboo crisis came to a head.
The hype just wasn't in there even in Legends, is all.
👍
If Palpatine clones himself couldn't his clone in theory have a force-ghost of his own once he dies like Palpatine did in one of the older Clone Wars episodes?
This force-ghost/soul concept in SW and midichlorians are still quite blurry and the new canon didn't make these make more sense even bringing Palpy back physically for the shits and giggles and such.
The Bad Batch is back?
👍👍👍👍👍
Why keep testing the clones?
Because they can get their result one of two ways, Altering the CLONE (during making it)
OR Altering the Doners Blood ( the one with the M Count) All of the blood being dripped in before testing is either a Jedi's or Sith's, or maybe an animal with a connection to the force.
This way they don't need to make a CLONE to test out the Modified blood on. Is Omega Force sensitive? I don't think so, she wasn't made with the blood of Jedi or Sith.she was made with the blood of Boba Fett and Altered. It just means her Coding in her blood will accept changes 1/1 Thats how the 99s were made, They were looking for the line of code that would keep changes.
Not to mention that in both Legends and Canon, Cloning a Jedi or Sith can get really messy.
DAVE FILONI IS BARELY INVOLVED WITH THE BAD BATCH STOP PRAISING HIM FOR THINGS HE HADN'T DONE. Praise the actual team that is making the show.
Filoni is the creator of the series. Just like Mike and Bryan created the show, but they didn't write all the episodes. There's always a team working on stuff. Filoni is involved.
doesn't dave filoni barely have anything to do with this show?
First 😂
SPOILERS: omega is force-sensitive cause she's a female.
I really hope not she suits being a bounty hunter like boba fett more than a Jedi
I wouldn’t even be surprised at this point…
The force IS female after all lmao
Lol wouldn't be surprised
Just like in real life…
These episodes were dogshit
Yeah I'll watch it free
I enjoyed bad batch seasons 1 and 2. I won't give season 3 the time of day. disney is dead.
I personally thought S2 was decent. Sure it wasn’t all flashy like the first season and TCW, but it had a lot of character development and I feel like a lot of people missed that aspect because they got upset about lack of action and all that. I can understand that viewpoint to a certain extent, but we all know Star Wars is about more than all the flashy stuff.
Season three is gonna knock both previous seasons out in terms of quality just based on what we’ve seen so far.
Rest in power Tech 🫡
