*Fun Fact:* Boba's daughter, Ailyn Vel, had an important role in the book series "Young Jedi Knights", in which she impersonated her father while serving as a bounty hunter and fighting Han and Leia's children. However, these books never reveal that the Boba Fett who appeared in them was actually Ailyn, since the "appearances" of that woman in that series were a retcon that the Holocron of continuity stablished after later works revealed that the real Boba Fett had become Mandalore during that part of the timeline. And people say that Legends had no continuity...
What a shame.
A pity some of the best Boba Fett family events happened on the apocryphal Denning-verse. Granted, a little rewriting can make them neatly fit on a universe where the Legends endgame is only at the NJO novels and the timeskipped Legacy comics.
There are no mistakes, just happy accidents. Translation: we fans often have inventive-solutions to restore continuity.
It was later revealed that Han knew it wasn't Boba Fett doing it...mainly because Han and Boba buried the hatchet at some point prior to that.
If I remember right, it was explained that Han helped Boba Fett in his steps to track down his aunt, and Han got him access to the files from the mental ward she'd been locked up in on Coruscant.
And for Boba Fett, their entire thing was never personal...and did some work for the New Republic over the years until the entire mess with his family and giving up Bounty Hunting to take over as Mandalore.
They had some cool stories, that’s for sure.
6:48 For those wondering, Fenn Shysha died heroically while dueling Boba Fett. Shysha, moments before dying, asked Boba to become the new Mandalore and lead his people, a request that Fett accepted. Shortly after, Boba Fett would become the leader who saved the Mandalorians from absolute extermination during the Yuuzhan Vong Wars.

We can't blame clones for deserting the GAR. Those who do It reject being slaves for a govement that doesn't give a crap about them.
If Galactic Republic's goverment would want an army of soldiers they would give a crap about, they would've went for some Old Republic troopers and basic conscripts, not army of 1 mando cloned millions of time (and clones officially worth probably even less than droid, you can salvage droid and repurpose it remains, but for clone its not always work that way, especially with non-human species). Yes, they are an army of 1X year old slaves, but they were pretty fine about it, since, well, they either grow a warrior, or they don't grow at all.

It's always a shame when you hear about Clones who killed their own brothers. And of course, it was an ARC Trooper... their victims didn't stand much chance.
An Alpha ARC no less. The regular troopers truly didn't stand a chance.
Yah, like nothing wrong with deserting like Cut, in that car they’re just wanting to leave a life of forced servitude in a war. But then there’s the Slicks, those who not only desert, but do something that injures, kills, or risks their brother’s lives like crippling their gear.

It was pretty fascinating to see Fenn Shysha, a character from the original Marvel comics, reintroduced in the main continuity through the novel "Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor" and the "Legacy of the Force" series. Those classic comics, despite being too wacky and bizarre, had a ton of great characters (like Shysha or Lumiya) that deserved to not be forgotten
Great character, had to be wasted in Legends apocrypha like the Denning-verse, Lumiya.
At least her fashion sense is nicely memorable, not unlike Kycilia Zabi from Universal Century Gundam.
I didn't even know Boba had a daughter, so that ending was both shocking and hilarious... "She mistook him for her father Boba Fett... So she shot him."

Speaking of Ailyn Vel, she later died during the Second Galactic Civil War. Vel was hired by the ruler of Corellia, Thrackan Sal-Solo, to attack the family of his cousin Han Solo. However, she was caught by Jacen, who murdered her during an interrogation. Such tragedy would cause Boba and his granddaughter Mirta to ally with Han to kill Thrackan. Although Ailyn never stopped trying to find her father and kill him, Boba always cared about her and felt deeply sorry for not being able to be with her.
The clones who were capable of deep introspective thought and perception beyond their immediate surroundings were the ones who broke free and fled, as one would do in that situation.
I miss when clones had relevance in Mandalorian lore.
Been reading the republic commando series lately. Yeah, they were raised as mandalorians.
Good to see the Madalorian Protectors getting covered. One thing I would like to see is a video on their BL battle droids, which were some of the most effective droid infantry in the army of the CIS.

You've talked a lot about Clone deserters, but what about a video on the Battle Droid deserters, like R2's three Battle Droids, Mister Bones, Coppertop, Bats, Nunzix, Cleaver, and the B1 that became a farmer.
Does Mister Bones count? He was reprogrammed after the war, wasn't he?
When in doubt, expect either blacker-than-black special forces and/or clones of notable people to go rogue because it's in their built in nature.
The Republic claimed to not tolerate slavery but yet maintaining one of the largest army of slaves the galaxy has ever seen is the hypocrisy at its peak for the Republic.

It's quite fascinating that this entire story was written only to reconcile with the main continuity a flashback about the Clone Wars, shown in a comic from the dubiously canonical Marvel series from the 80s, that shows the Mandalorians helping Palpatine destroy the Jedi. The bad thing here is that Duchess Satine from TCW, a show that has too many major contradictions with all previous material to be considered canon within Legends appears in Spar's story, which sadly means that book caused a ton of continuity issues trying to fix a small one probably no one even cared about at this point
