What James O'Barr said is spot on. Well, at least for me, anyway. As a teenager during the '90s, I tried REALLY hard getting into comic books, especially comics about superheroes.
They NEVER resonated with me. I think it's mostly because I like watching and reading about more realistic characters and writing.
Being someone, who was born and raised in the early '80s when Slasher Horror was at its pinnacle, I believe that people like myself were more interested Realistic Fiction.
Honestly, I always felt that writing and/or watching a movie about serial killers is more frightening because serial killers really DO exist. The same applies for stalkers.
Different people like different things. Because of that we got The Crow!
@@TheLegacyofNerd you mean The Crow remake? Yeah, especially if they're fan fiction writers.
Great interview as always buddy
Thanks man!
I was there in SA to meet him. He was cool. Unfortunately mentally I froze before I could ask him my question.
I almost did too! He is super nice though!
I’m meeting him in September and I have no clue how I’m gonna react
I was super nervous myself but he’s really soft spoken
Great interview bro keep doing what you doing
Thank you!
Musical? Watch the film “Streets Of Fire.” It’s not a musical but it’s a musical. Opening credits actually call it a rock n roll fantasy or something. Watch it and you’ll be convinced it was a major influence on the 94 film. Hence in a funny way the studio got its musical.
PS the director, Alex Proyas, is literally filming a musical right now called “R.U.R.”
