I love when the aggressive wrestler wins. Defensive guys only open up when desperate and get frustrated that the opponent won't cooperate.
That was a good match and I'm glad that Kyle Dutton shook his hand after losing. You see so many other competitors in a wrestling match that everybody thought was supposed to win when they get upset they walk away from their opponent crying and pouting like a child. Good match great show of respect Kyle.👍🏾
Sportsmanship is always great to see…I’d cry too if I lost x weight, starving myself and undergoing rigorous training just to lose though.
@@tarlositerules That's why I think guys should wrestle at their proper natural weight classes and stop killing themselves just to make weight to wrestle in a weight class that they shouldn't be in in the 1st place. They do it to try and gain a tactical advantage in size or strength but all they're doing is zapping their energy.

Harry Lester..back in 99' ish did the same. Went on to be one of the best lb. for lb. wrestlers in the country.
It is likely his coach missed the seating meeting, or under represented his skills in same meeting. serious bracket busting entry though

Ironman is usually loaded. As we can see with an 18 seed winning.

How in the hell was that first shot not a takedown? Dude had both feet in, had both legs and other dude was sitting on his butt? I hate when refs just make up there own rules….
Knees were down out of bounds, if he was on his toes and kept his knees up it would have been 2

But by the time 2 could have been awarded both knees were down out of bounds, it's close and up to the ref but being a coach from northeast Ohio where these refs are from, it's gonna get called how it did, I also agree with the call. Now if it was one of my kids that's another story hahaha.

Stopped watching after the ref blew the TD on the edge. That has become a pandemic. Referees getting calls wrong. If this is a final, there should be 2 and my god how much are cameras theses days. College is even worse.
Should have gone into OT. He got 2 back points there at the end but the ref didn't award them.
I'd have liked to see the OT scramble that was due these young men.
. If he was awarded two back points he would have had to be in control and got the 2 takedown. Match over

@@brandonmills9750 I don't know. That's subjective, I think. He was in pretty clean on a double and I think a Freestyle ref would have considered the 2.
@@JaysSavvy it’s not freestyle tho that’s 100% 2 in freestyle but in folkstyle u need control rather than exposure therefore he didn’t get a take down which means he can’t get back points either
He was not in control, so he could not earn back points.
And he never reached criteria for control.
How old is Lockett here, definitely didn't look like a 13-14yr old Freshman..
this was a great match, but it exemplifies why folkstyle needs rule changes. you shouldn’t be able to just roll around on your back as a means of defending a take down. and wrestling in neutral from an all-fours position should be stalling; in freestyle it’s considered negative wrestling… you’re preventing the offensive wrestler from making any attacks. the only way that an all-fours position isn’t stalling is if you’re shooting the entire time that you’re on your knees
