Mat psychology, situational awareness, depth perception, range motion velocity and impact. Sir Burroughs is the PHD doctorate of Wrestling sheer genius
Kyle Dake would disagree with that
@@Nofacemonk same Kyle dake he’s beat multiple times?
I think you mean Mat IQ.
@@Nofacemonk Kyle who?
Dake is dope and a beast in his own right but I think he focused so much on how to beat JB for the Olympic spot he kind of stifled himself.
😂everybody knows exactly what move Jordan is going to try to setup. He still hits it. Time and time again. 🐐
But he might have started before the whistle on that first blast double in this bout...so close.
@@mitchchuvalo799 it was close. Maybe it sounds different on the vid.
@@mitchchuvalo799 in freestyle people get away with that
Im new to wrestling. What move is he trying to set up ? I’m interested in the sport but I know basically nothing other than a single leg and double leg. What’s he trying to set up ? And what movements let you know he’s setting it up ? I’m genuinely interested if anyone has the time to explain it a bit
@@jackg2630 a blast double
The amount of strength and timing makes that double impossible to stop
He shot early before the whistle
@anthony Romero the Rwandans are pretty good at stopping it either.
@anthony Romero Jordan is 20-6 against the Russia's, soooo ummhuhhhhhh
@anthony Romero your profile picture is so fucking funny hahahahahahahhahah
@anthony Romero I’m not making this a Russian American thing. Let’s be honest wrestling needs overtime cause the coin flip is dumb.
6:42 (Juggernaut Double Leg Blast)
Thank you!!!
Absolutely top notch wrestling.. this is how it’s supposed to be.. No stalling or waiting.. just planning to execute
One of his best matches I’ve ever seen those doubles are perfect.
"Jinxes are fake!"
*Burroughs proceeds to get thrown to his back momentarily*
Me: For fuck's sake
😂😂 my exact thoughts. It’s like when they say “this kicker hasn’t missed all year” and they proceed to shank it.
🤣🤣🤣
Couldn’t believe my eyes and ears when that shit happened lol unbelievable 🤯
@@arn6376 right before the commentator said don't jinx him, lol
Me: *Sees thumbnail* Oh, seems like a cool video
The Title: Eddard Stark Dies, there is no Santa, the Easter bunny is fake, and JB wins
Respect to Dieringer! He’s young and has so much potential, especially against some who is considered the Best to ever compete.
Burroughs is a Legend.
Best he has looked in a while. Those shots are incredible. The strength it takes to hold someone like ringer in that position while he is reacting and trying to sprawl nd get away. WOW.
I didn't see much strength coming from JB, I seen more strategy if anything, I believe D is actually stronger, but not as experienced.
JB moves with so much finesse and intensity it’s insane
He shot early on that whistle
One of those double legs reminds me of when a Lion pouncing on prey. Incredible match! but the ref was getting real whistle happy😂
@@stevjohnson3681 Yep, by like a quarter second.
@@lurk7411 yea for sure
@@stevjohnson3681 he was already down. The other guy for that moment thought he would come meet him mid way. But instead he went for the open legs and boom. But it was right after the whistle. That’s not even hard to see. I don’t know how you got that assumption at least if you are talking about :57
I'm so glad to see Burroughs getting back to his double. seemed like he got away from it for a while.
yes he did. everyone was scouting that double once he won the worlds and Olympics 3-4 times. he went to the single for awhile but hes at his best when he's timing and hitting doubles.
Dang, jb been around forever. To be 33, he still a force. Keep waiting for him to fade, but it's like he got another wind again.
Yeah he's still got it...
33 isn’t that old! He’s still in his prime
@@roddyricch1913 Being 33 and still outrunning/lifting more than my younger siblings in the Army, I can confirm this 😅
JB is the man! Could not be a better ambassador for our sport, but he jumped that whistle. He had his hands on the legs when you hear the whistle. I thought he timed it perfect watching it live, but now rewatching it. He beat the whistle, but good on him for taking advantage of it!
Dude hitting pause and play over and over it is perfect, it looks like his hand goes up but doesn't look like it touches tell the whistle goes crazy hard to tell
I can not tell a lie. I got worried when JB was on his back.
Facts, but I was like this a 10min video.
Yo that was slick had me worried too!!!
AD didn’t come to play. JB was obviously better but AD could be going places the more he applies himself.
AD has what those in boxing call a punchers chance with that sweep single dump. So no-one is safe.
@@PsychExperience didn’t come to play but still got destroyed
The blast double looked like it was before the whistle.....is that perfect timing.
He level changed before the whistle, but the shot was taken after the whistle. Pristine timing
@@MrTooEarnestOnline ... well I guess I don't know the rules well enough. It looks like to me that was before the whistle. I guess the real question is when does the shot start? Are you saying there is no moving forward prior to that whistle? I have seen a lot less movement be called before the whistle
@@francostacy7675 idk the freestyle rules, but it’s all good in folk style so long as the foot is on the line when the ref blows the whistle
6:45 is what you looking for
JB has an EXTRA reach and explosion on his double. A deadly DOUBLE it is.
Love watching matches like this. It changes the game for your own technique.
Damn I have never seen Jordan on his back
I was just thinking how awkward it looked and how weird it felt for JB to be bridging fighting off his back lol I remember that feeling
good thing he practices being in tough positions
What an explosive power from JB!!
Dieringer's sweep singles and firemans carries are awesome. I love his style. Too bad he had to wrestle JB for a spot at the world team. JB is once in a generation talent with a pool of tough SOBs under him who could all do well at worlds.
Still the GOAT. Love watching this man wrestle.
Enjoy watching men roll around, and grab eachother? Lol
He double legged him back to 1956.
I dont know ANYTHING about wrestling, yet that looked impressive to me.
The doubles are coming back… 79kg just might be the change jb needed
Burroughs is a legend, so awesome
This looks fun, greetings from Meméxico
JB looks confident and explosive again ! Good to see him being offensive early
We need these takedowns clipped out in slow mo. Technical beauty
JB just dominated one of the best prospects out of Oklahoma
Really? Never even heard of this guy
Second blast double from both knees on the ground.
Wow
Haters, JB 👑is back and looking better then ever, Ringer🔨 is no joke, vintage Oklahoma State elbow control sweep single gotta love it.
Who hates JB? I wanted Dake to win because I felt it was his time but Burroughs is one of the best wrestlers in American history...He doesn't have a loud personality so I don't understand why people would hate him...I think it's just a Tom Brady thing..He keeps winning and people wanna see somebody else
@@charlesfriscia7236 a lot of people didn't think he was gonna win because he's getting older. It's crazy cause this man went a 4-4 match with David taylor who teched his way to the Olympic Finals. This man beat Zahid, this man went 2 close bouts with Dake and people really counted him out 😂. Never count out the king 🐐. 202-14 in his international career!!!
I don’t hate JB. I really respect him. Look for him to be a favourite at 79kg worlds.
Dieringer just threw to his back Olympic and world champ. The USA’s depth is crazy.
@@jesvinmathew5103 All that happened is he ran into a buzz saw..Dake was on fire at Olympic trials...That's the only guy I can see beating him and he's not wrestling...Anytime an athlete ages and loses that's what they all say...Burroughs is a unique athlete though
That was a nice takedown sweep by Burroughs.
Great commentary Danna!
This guy truly needs to be put on a pedestal of American sport icons
them DOUBLES! 💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Jordan is a legend.
1:05 this was a crazy takedown low key
Derringer was in my wrestling conference in high school, it’s crazy to see him competing at such a top level now.
Great match!
Definitely before the whistle
Don't sweat it, Alex. You make WI proud. Keep on working hard and becoming the best you can be!
The near fall was far more impressive than his opponent's double leg takedowns. Too bad he couldn't pull it off or at least get a few takedowns after.
jb is the Michael jordan of wrestling
JB is a clever professor ,👍👍👍 👑👑👑
JB is one tough dude and just an amazing wrestler.. having said that it did appear that JB was moving forward just prior to the whistle. Is that ok or could it have been challenged? I'm a noob but I'm sure some of you guys know. Thank you. Grats JB!
Yeah the ref could've easily just not blown the whistle and he probably would've been penalized. I wonder what the rule is about this as well!
He jumped it a tad bit early, but it's the judges call whether to stop it and call a caution, and he didn't. (2 cautions and opponent gets a point)
Nice outside fireman carry. Seems its always there , but Jordan"s penetration on those doubles is unstoppable. The way he lowers his level and head up with those long arms . I mean you know it:s coming...
I need to see this man in the UFC
Wrestlers are great role models. Love JB!
say what you will about wrestling but these athletes are just as tough mentally and physically as any other combat athlete.
I agree
So I don’t watch wrestling as often so i might be just a bit confused but in the initial takedown that jordan completed didn’t he start before the whistle was blown? If someone knows more about this please lmk :)
I'm in tears
1:43 jinxed him soo bad 😂😂
Flo always putting spoilers in the title.. WTF!!
Jinxes aren’t real… 5 seconds later Burroughs is fighting to not get pinned.
CZcams sure is getting comfortable with those two 15 second unskippable ads
Jordan has never lost up 4
hey let's not jinx the man
Jinxes are fake... SWEEP SINGLE THERE'S 4!!!
I’ve been greatly inspired
This was the first time i've ever seeing Burroughs on his back
He’s been there before.
JB proving why he's still the goat
Shot early
@@stevjohnson3681 Really? He would have won anyway.
@@gking407 just saying what happened. You also dont know that for sure. It changed the course of the match
@@stevjohnson3681But this happens all the time and it’s a little different watching a video.
Jb is not the goat kid, Khabib beats him easy
Congrats!
JB is back!
Ringer looks huge here!
beautiful wrestling
I’m convinced he would have been a beast in the NFL… at least he’s making every tackle 🤣
I have no idea how the scoring works or really why the rules are but it’s still very entertaining
1:53 someone teach me that
Phenomenal
“His ability to PULL DoWn yes.”
That double is good. But the highlight move here is Alex at 1:56!
The ankle pick at @1:55 was a thing of beauty!
I think that attack is called a sweep single. An ankle pick is a lil different
@@wrestlingscience I appreciate the correction!
Freaking awesome
Jordan broke his ankle and tore a bunch of ligaments prior to the Olympic trials. It must have been much worse than disclosed because after beating Dake for a decade he somehow lost to him. Then Dake's DA went down 11-0 the second round in Tokyo. Any chance Burroughs would have ever been teched 11-0 in an Olympic tournament?!?!?! Dake peaked in 2013!
Thumbnail looks like he killed em!
1:10 shows Jordan moving before the ref blew the whistle and they still gave him the 4 points. Bullshit
L
Facts
How old is this match?
Jordan had went for the first successful takedown before the whistle
For a minute I thought it was Prime Askren...I was bout to get rowdy lol
Jordan still remember Geduev and criy so far!!!
"has he ever lost when up 4?" "jinxes are fake." gets taken down to his back 2 seconds later 🤣🤣😂😂
Wait until that blast double comes to mma.
blasts through seems like an overstatement :D Good match, though.
Looked like the old JB. Hoping to see JB evolve though. If he stays one dimensional in wrestling he will never beat Dake or the Russians again..
Also good job to ringer on this one. He almost pinned JB with that fireman carry
I don't get why everyone is so impressed with JB... Looked like the ref saved his ass and he pulled cheap points during the whistle when D wasn't even looking at him..
Idk how to turn out of a tight spot like that
Man how they get so good?
he is the best
Love Alex man. He’lol get him soon
As someone who isn't really into wrestling, seems like that ref really wanted Red to win
Damn, ben got in shape for the rematch eh
Love men in tights!
Is this an old match?
“Jinx are fake”…”FEET TO BACKKKKKK”
Tough to say but JB played beautiful.
They literally jinxed Jordan in the beginning lol
Don’t understand why they give him the passive right after he shoots. Maybe because it was almost a half shot from so far out that it wasn’t really offensive but strange timing.
Jb is a nightmare oponent sheesh
That guy really resembled J.J. Wow
Ringer looks huge
best hes looked in a long time
