Skyquakes, Upsweeps, Bloops and Sky Trumpets | Terrifying Sounds that Signal the End of the World
The Book of Revelation says the end of the world will be announced with the sound of seven trumpets. Each blowing of the trumpet brings a new apocalyptic event. After the seventh trumpet: armageddon.
For centuries, people have reported low-frequency hums, the crack of thunder on a clear day and the sound of cannon-fire in the middle of nowhere.
Mysterious sounds have been heard at the bottom of the ocean and in outer space. And they’ve been heard long before modern machines and industry.
Recently, people have been recording and sharing videos of these loud, unnatural sounds.
And some of them? They sound a lot like trumpets.

My brother and I heard these deep in the Northern California mountains last night around 4 am. They were loud enough to wake me up. At first I thought it was trucks on the road, but the sound continued for 10 minutes without variation. Which takes out the likelihood that it was a semi truck braking. And there are no towns or mills around me. Closest town is 15 miles away.
    It was pretty wild

They are the sound of the Earth moving, the Tectonic plates, I read. We're actually absorbed in the sound but we don't hear it that way - just like our bodies absord those vibrations, we can't feel it and we can't detect where the sound is from, although we think it's from the sky.

I reside in Sweden and have occasionally experienced this phenomenon while walking to my local store. On multiple occasions during the summer, I've heard an unsettling noise emanating from either the sky or the distant horizon. This sound resembles the dragging of a massive metal container across a hard surface, akin to concrete. There is a small airport approximately 6-9 miles away, but no apparent cargo ports or warehouses nearby that could account for the movement of such a substantial object.

In 2013 in Australia Miller NSW I was at my local shops walking to the car with my youngest son and his girlfriend and suddenly trumpets rang out in the sky high above us, it’s was very loud and no mistaking they were trumpets. All three of us looked up in shock, it was a clear blue sky and we immediately said is that trumpets from heaven. Im 57 and have lived here all my life and have never heard this sound before. It’s a suburb with no industrial factories, no mining, no high voltage power towers, it’s a plain old suburb, nothing has changed and nothing could account for the sound. We raced home which was just a few houses away looking for my husband to see if he heard the sound too, but we couldn’t find him and said no way he was raptured and not us lol. We eventually found him in the backyard but he didn’t hear the sounds even though my house was right near the sounds. I haven’t heard the sounds again.

Strong electromagnetic waves can create electromagnetic vibrations. And this is what sound is. The movement of these vibrations. Electromagnetic fields can also create electromagnetic vibration or sound waves by creating a less dense medium, which the denser medium slams into the less dense medium at around all sides. This is thunder by the way. A Tesla coil can be used as a speaker in this manner as well.

I haven’t watched a TV in the last 15 years, the most open your eyes will ever become happens when you completely stop watching and /or listening to any main stream programs. If not for this platform I wouldn’t ever watch anything on an electronic device. I live in a four bedroom fairly good sized home and there are no televisions here at all. When you stop watching and listening to the main stream B.S. you suddenly start to gain some understanding of just how much manipulation there is occurring through the main stream media. If there is someone you care for but they won’t listen when you attempt to explain some of the crazy stuff happening in the world, if you can somehow stop them from watching a tv for a couple months, they won’t need you to explain the crazy stuff any longer, they will be able to see it as clearly as you do then. Peace everyone..

I actually just experienced this not even a week ago. I got up at 4:30am mountain time for work. My window was open and as soon as I turned off my alarm I heard what I thought was REALLY loud freeway traffic. After lying in bed for 5 minutes listening to it I realized, I don't get freeway noise at my house and it was WAYYY too loud to be that anyway. I got up and threw clothes on to go outside. I fully expected to walk out and see the sky falling. I walked out my door and it was INCREDIBLY loud. I walked out into the open and looked all around the sky. It was clear and I couldn't see anything but a peaceful looking sky. Outside the sound was like a mixture of freeway noise and a fleet of military jets. It wasn't jets though. The sound was ambient and covered the whole sky, all encompassing. Also, I've lived all my life (39 y/o) here in the Treasure Valley, (Boise, Meridian, Nampa Idaho) and we have 2 major Airforce bases. I've heard jets all my life. This was a sound I have never, ever heard in my life. I stood and looked and listened for about 10 minutes before I realized I should go grab my phone to record it. I started walking back to my door and all the sudden the sound quickly tapered off and just like that, it was gone! Quiet peaceful morning again! That sound was so creepy and unnerving! Reminded me just how small and helpless I really am in the grand scheme of the world and universe whatever it was. I will NEVER forget that sound!

I live in a rural area of northern Michigan, and a few years ago I experienced the hum. It was like a low noise that seemed to be all around, and on many occasions I could feel it in my chest. I ruled out the possibility of it coming from my house, and I was miles away from any power sub stations or high voltage lines, and no neighbors nearby. I would usually begin to hear it when I went to bed, and it got to the point that I was having a hard time sleeping. This went on for around six months before I began hearing less and less of it until I could no longer hear it. My wife was never able to hear anything out of the ordinary, even when telling her when I was hearing it. Very strange.

This bowl shaped town is about a mile wide and it amplifies every sound around. Tornadoes form easily here too. There are many military bases out here so when the jets fly it always sounds like they're directly overhead when they're miles away! Omg, AJ. You probably won’t see this comment, but what you said about grief struck me straight through the heart. My mother died in February after a brief battle with cancer, due to other complications/illnesses. There was no other woman I was closer to, I cherish her deeply. But like you said, when she passed, I wasn’t as emotionally devastated as I thought I’d be, and I was angry with myself for it. However, she had been hospitalized for the final month of her life. Many days were touch and go. So I DID spend that time grieving her in advance, many nights sobbing in fear and frustration for her. This was a sentiment I shared with my husband after she passed away, and it gave me slight comfort in my reaction to her loss. THANK YOU for what you said. I didn’t know other people would feel that way too, that I’m not just some strange detached person assuming I’m in denial and expecting myself to feel more shattered. Thank you.

What sticks out to me is the consistent volume of the sounds over distance. Every other sound in the world from volcanic eruptions to baby farts is louder the closer you are to its origin, so you’d think if people are hearing these sounds distinctly over miles, there’s gotta be somebody at the epicenter getting rocked. That rules out machinery because if you were running equipment that did that, you and everyone else on the site would know what caused it. This points me to two possibilities.
    1) These are unique “sounds” that don’t follow the same rules as sounds, but are heard as sounds. Something that isn’t a sound, but that we are still able to detect and the only sense we can attribute it to is hearing.
    2) These are actual sounds, but the origin of the sound is spread out across a wide area, similar to how a network of intercom speakers broadcasts a message consistently throughout a building.
The first theory fits the hum really well and explains why only certain people heard it and a tin foil hat stopped it. The second theory seems to fit the sky trumpets and sky quakes better, so my question is what could the intercom system be in those cases. What is spread consistently throughout the atmosphere in these places? I don’t have an answer for that, but if it is a common sound from many sources, there can’t be that many things that fit the description. Not sure if this will make sense to people.

I heard the sound back in 1996 in Morocco. The strange thing was that it was so loud, yet nobody at my home was awakened by it. It was as if I heard it alone.
As I grew up, I started to question myself about the phenomenon, thinking that it was just my child imagination. Then, in 2014, the sound occurred again, but it didn't wake me up from my sleep. When I eventually woke up, my family informed me that they had heard a loud and peculiar sound coming from nowhere. What's even more fascinating is that each member of my family who heard it lived in separate cities, more than 200km apart, yet everyone experienced it simultaneously.
Intrigued, I turned to CZcams to see if anyone had recorded the sound, and the moment I heard it, a shiver ran down my spine. I was in complete shock because I recognized it as the exact same sound I had heard as a child.

In Oklahoma there is a constant low-frequency hum that you can really hear at night. It doesn't have any determines location or direction. I live completely off-grid out in the woods with no one around and I hear this constantly. It started about a little over a year ago. It sounds like a huge construction project going on under the ground in the distance like a big drill

Perhaps you could use a simple microphone hooked up to an amp or recorder or even a stethoscope to see if the sound is emanating from the ground or the atmosphere. That would be a good start. The record it. Submit a sample of the sound to someone with sound analyzing software. Test it, speed it up, slow it down, look for a pattern or sequence.
You have an intriguing mystery perhaps right under your feet. How about others that live out in your remote area. Do they also hear it. Is it seasonal ? Study up on protocols to test sound. Email sound samples to several universities and sound labs. I envy you this phenomena and hope you further research it.

Years ago, when we had moved into a new house in a new development, I heard a hum late at night, on Wednesdays. I found it very annoying and hard to sleep with this maddening hum, and it didn't seem to bother my wife, who really couldn't hear it. One night, I was so frustrated that I went outside to see what it might be. What I found was pretty mundane - there was new home construction going on about a block away, and there was a trailer that served as a project office. The trailer's lights were on, and a generator was running, and the generator was the source of the noise. The project office stayed open late on Wednesday nights, and when the staff left, they didn't bother to shut down the generator or the lights. Once I figured this out, and complained to the construction company, they started turning the generator off on Wednesdays, and the hum was gone. That doesn't explain all weird noises, of course, but my mysterious hum had a pretty boring explanation.

It really sounds like a case of harmonic resonance.. and certain distances and under the EXACT right conditions, sound gets amplified naturally and organically. I had a wooden guitar that one day began fully saturating a chord louder than the original strike. We all were amazed hearing this one chord boom 2 seconds after strumming it. The perfect resonance of the drying piece of wood, the humidity of the air, and tension of the guitars strings all played a necessary role in a natural amplification that I was never able to reproduce for the entire lifetime of that guitar. To think of a natural resonance is easy for a musician to understand. It might be in the soundscape of the trees, the hills, the barometric pressure, and the EXACT conditions from source to "Hearer." Harmonic Resonance can happen in your bones, and sometimes does. Sound is weird..

I was on a connecting trail to the Appalachian trail in great Smoky mountains Tennessee, my dog and I heard a loud noise in the air it seemed like up in the sky, sounded like miles long steel cables were being bounced off a hard surface(only way I can explain it) kind of twangy but metallic, this sound started low and got louder to the point my dog had her tail between her legs cowering in circles afraid of every direction. I grabbed her and kneeled down, sound got louder and as I'm holding my dog I noticed the leaves on the trees were actually vibrating..I had no idea still have no idea.
Maybe some craziness with some air craft and the sound is bouncing off the mountains or something, seems like a stretch though considering everything, the level of loudness, the sounds it self how it was metallic and then the cherry on top the leaves were vibrating. You would really have to make a lot of bold claims to say that was some aircraft and the sound was distorted bouncing over mountains....it's just weird and ill never forget that.
The leaves on the trees in the forest 360 degrees around me as far as I could see in there, the leaves were all vibrating
I called my sister immediately, she lived less than 30 seconds from that connecting trail, she didn't hear anything .
So it didn't reflect or bounce less than a mile away to my sister's where she could hear it, but it lasted a good 20 30 seconds and you would think any aircraft that was flying right over you- the sound would pass faster and or it wouldn't be so loud or even sound like what I heard at all- and the leaves, leaves don't vibrate when a plane goes over you..
Keep in mind the "great Smoky mountains" is mostly national park area, there's not much industrial anything near, there wasn't and isn't anything industrial where I was at around there

I was at my desk at home working while listening to music on my headphones when i heard a loud continuous noise. I ignored it for a bit because i thought it might be some roadworks etc. But after around 20 to 30 seconds, i took off my headphones and went outside into my back garden. After around 5 or so seconds of being outside i couldn't pinpoint where the sound was coming from, it really sounded like it was from the sky. It lasted for around a minute once i was outside, and then just stopped.

No industry or dynamite or anything for miles around. And no super sonic planes. 6 or 7 in a row. You could feel them inside your body. It was strange.
YES that is it, at 11:50!! The "Guns of Seneca"-thing!!

When my brother past, I was 8. He was 9. It was an accident. I held him as he past. It was surreal but I didn’t feel overwhelmed. I told him a love him and I’m here. I did cry but not until he was gone. Then, I no longer felt overwhelmed. I’m not sure why I felt this way. Counselors who saw me asked why I seemed so mellow, my genuine answer was I don’t know. As an adult though, I realized it was me internalizing emotional pain because I needed to stay strong on the outside. I saw my grandfather pass when I was 16. My dad past when I was 18. And all these were hard but I didn’t feel devastated. There were other factors going on when I was a boy that had some to do with how I felt. However, when I was in my 20s and my beloved cat past, ALL THAT GRIEF ESCAPED. I had a total breakdown. Years of emotional pain came out. I guess it was literally like the straw that broke the camel’s back. I since recovered. But I have a more healthy approach to dealing with emotional pain. I allow myself to express my grief so I don’t bottle it up leading to an emotional time bomb waiting to be set off with something not usually seen as an emotional stab to the soul. Great episode as always.

Thank you for sharing the story about your dad. I recently lost my dad after his long battle with cancer. As I had time to prepare for his passing, I was less emotional at his service and I felt like people expected me to be more upset. Your comment helped me feel more normal about my grief. Thank you 💕

I heard this exact sound on Vancouver Island five years ago or so, and it shook our house. I'm on an island, no trains, no heavy industry, I was out in the bush away from anything.

The first sounds. Also very very loud booms, like the house was dropped. no earthquakes reported those days.

Heard these sounds of sky trumpets several times as a kid in my Bavarian hometown and few years ago in the woods on a trail nearby the Austrian border. Really weird always gives you a very surreal feeling.

Ugh! My heart bled. I did the same exact thing when my dad died. And now my relationship with everyone is so bittersweet bc our entire life is just a lesson in letting go. I cherish every moment so much more. Take more pictures. Try to love more....you know, battling the anxiety.

Only up to the sounds... I love the idea of sky trumpets; but it's probably just space friction breaking through the sound barrier. 😂 yes, like the auroras ❤

Interesting vid. Although I don't hear anything odd within my home, if I step outside at nighttime my wife and I can both hear a hum. It seems louder in winter than summer, possibly due to a lack of foliage. I've always found it strange as being way out in the country the nights are quiet, except for the hum.
