I have a HP computer too! But mine is dual booting actually so I have windows and Ubuntu I just wanted to try it out and there are some applications that I wish were in windows but are limited to Linux and Mac

Hey, I just have a casual doubt.
I've installed arch linux with plasma x11 along with win 11 (dual boot). The problem is I've to disable secure boot in order to use my arch linux. So how do i enable secure boot so that it supports arch linux too?
(I've already tried sbctl to sign keys for grub but dont know whether i have to sign the windows one too?)
(SORRY if i missed anything im a beginner)
There is no way to run Arch Linux with Secure boot enabled.

You can very clearly make that happen through 3rd party apps. It's Linux. You can do anything, and I'm sure a few people already did it on GitHub anyway.

I am using Ubuntu 22.10.1, and as you said it has GNOME 45 with no support to extensions. I would like to know how i can follow updates to when it will have support. I really wanna try this but im not willing to format my pc right now.
Bro Extensions are not properly working with latest GNOME. Thats the problem. Devs need to update them .

bro, i have followed all of your step but when i click on the icon from tweaks , the bigsur original prime is not available and so what should i do about it
Make sure you have extracted the ICON pack inside the.icons under the home directory !!
Also make sure there should not be a nested folders after extracting the iCON Pack.
Hi, I've got a little problem with the theme, specifically when I open Steam, the theme crushes and starts changing fonts and the shell and, well everything kinda messup, I'm using Ubuntu 23.10 with xorg; Do u know how might i solve this issue?

idk if you know after a month but it is called quick settings tweak but it only work with gnome 43 and i guess you have a ubuntu lts version o gnome 42.9 at least like me haha

I didnt try on 20.04. Most of the extensions will not work with older ubuntu that comes with GNOME 43 below.

Some extensions are not compatible with latest Ubuntu. It takes time to update them.
Great tutorial. Thanks. It worked, but after I tried to switch it to 'light mode' in the preferences, I did something wrong I think and now the 3 color buttons (red, yellow, green) are replaced again with the old ones. How do I bring the colors back?
Yes the script has some issues. You have to stick to one either light or dark.

This is super cool. But now I have two power buttons. Any idea why I have two ? One opens a small power menu (sleep, restart etc) and the other has a drop-down with ethernet settings, sound settings and power. I'd rather not have two power menus.

Hi, i was wondering if its possible to just change the app buttons to look like Mac, i tried just changing teh application tweak but when reboot my computer y changes the activities button, things on the theme.... All i want is the app buttons, i would appreciate if you find a solution, i saw other people asking for the same but none answer it,

The theme applies to the entire app and its windowing elements.
There's an extension for the Gnome Shell version 45 (perhaps older too) named "Custom Window Controls"

It's better to download an ISO from the official ubuntu. Don't use any custom ISO from anywhere.
Please help me, im using chrome browser. In the browser the minimize maximize and close button didnt work. It still default style, how can i change to be triple dots?

anyhow, i am on a chromium based browser (brave) so i will tell you what i did to have the MacOS theme on my browser
type: "chrome://settings" in your searchbar and press enter.
go to "Design" or "Customization" (or sm like that)
Then u should have this options in the section "Theme"
1) Use GTK
2) Use TQ
3) Use the title and system borders
The setting u need to activate is the third one, it will have the Mac Title Bar and "dots" to close, maximize, and minimize already themed.
I recommend that u enable Use GTK too, but that is optional

it is contradictory on the sense chrome spies on users and linux is a privacy based kernel (and most dristros dont spy on its users)
if u want something like chrome but with privacy i would recommend Brave Web Browser

I had the same issue all I did was holding the power button to force shutdown.
This is related to ACPI .. . I know a way to mitigate that issue but it may lead to the boot failure. Trying searching on ubuntu forums regarding your specific hardware.

Let's say you do everything in the video without the backup and for murphys law you fuck your os, just reinstall it, just save your important files

TimeShift backup is very important. It takes the snapshot of the current system. Then you can alter system by installing themes. If something goes wrong and your system start behaving unusual you can use existing snapshot to revert your system back to the original state. This eliminates the need of reinstalling the entire operating system.
after uninstalling this theme, the lock screen has been changed with ubuntu logo at the bottom! and a new setting button is coming up with options like gnome, gnome with ???, ubuntu and ubuntu with ???... I don't want this ubuntu lock screen. Pls help me to go back to the previous lock screen.

Technically possible because pop OS cosmic is based on GNOME. I haven't tried the theme stuff on gnome derived desktop.

Its must bro. I mentioned right clearly. Backing the system with time shift gets your system back to normal if you find any issues with theme.

I have a Mac and a Linux machine. I use my Linux machine as more of a playground and do stuff that I would definitely not want to do on my Mac for fear of destroying it. BUT i like to have a familiar set of hot keys and UI across both machines
