I tried this today, because i was tired of Ubuntu boring desktop. Some things seems to have changed because there's no "blur my shell" or "compiz" or "quick settings" in the extension manager. Either I missed something or they're not available any more now. But anyway, most things work OK only Chrome seems to ignore the theme.

It's really nice but there's a probem... Why applications like FireFox replace their own (close, minimize, restore down) buttons instead of this theme?
Enabling "use gtk theme" might solve this.
they draw their own buttons, doesn't use platform's one to have maximum control and flexibility. This is also true for all kinds of webapp, chrome, and other browser.

Hello, I had the same issue. Open Chrome Appearance settings and select "Use GTK+ Theme". That's it.

It says quick settings tweaker doesn't support it. I have ubuntu 22.04 LTS gnome 42.9. so is there any alternative? Also the ventura link says sonoma now.

the last part, when installing the "quick" extensions... it is saying that it is not supported for my version of gnome. Is there a way to upgrade to gnome 43 on ubuntu 22.04??
Unfortunately not for Ubuntu 22.04. Its not supported. Just use the interim releases if you want the latest and greatest gnome. It is possible you can get Ubuntu 22.10, and that will have gnome 43 out of the box (but it's not LTS if that matters to you and you'll have to update to 23.04 later, also not LTS).

my theme can't be selected for shell (it is blank) in tweaks under ubuntu 23.04
Make sure you have installed and enabled "User themes" extension to see that option. This is very important.

Move the icons to this location */usr/share/icons/* and see if it works.

Works good for me. Only problem is my ungoogled-chromium browser doesn't have the OS X style buttons. Maybe because it's installed with flatpak. I had a normal chrome browser installed via apt and the buttons theme work for that one

how to change the ventura accent color on apps like files? i don't like the yellowish color in ui :(
choose white Sure Dark + Color Theme and restart.
Is there a way to overlap the dock with the application? So instead of seeing a bit of background you see the browser in full view but also the dock.
I guess there is a thing called Floating DOCK. Check out gnome extensions.

try 22.04 or 20.04. Make sure you have selected the option to install the drivers during the installation.

bro everything work but on the icons setting in tweaks the Cupertino-Ventura does not show up
make sure you have placed Cupertino Ventura icons extracted into ~/.icons
directory.
Check that After extracting the ICON pack you don't have multiple folders.
Very cool, with a 400$ desktop you can get an a computer that looks like a Mac, and works ok, i think with just 8gb ram Ubuntu should have good perfomances.

i installed the theme on 22.04 but after upgrading to 22.10 the lockscreen has gone back to default and I am not able to change to Mac style anymore. I tried installing the theme again and updating the settings but its not happenning, Any help?
The theme breaks the UI if you update.. lately I noticed. The only way to fix is either reinstall the OS or try to uninstall the entire theme and try again.

No. You can use KDE Plasma instead. That extension is there for gnome and doesn't work as intended ,

Try to restart ,, Also vanilla OS is not stable YET.
