if you want the round corners below you need to switch the filemanager from nemo (mint default) to nautilus (gnome default)

sudo apt install conky-manager2 didnt work for me, in ubuntu 23.10

I found that method helpful, although for some reason, the application doesn't detect the widgets I've installed
