  • In the early summer of 2022 I tried to go around Fyn in a week. My sailing canoe is fast downwind, and the forecast gave South West, South, then West winds. It looked perfect!
This was my third time in the islands of the Danish South sea, and the area keeps pulling me back!

I love your videos and your boat Koos , the boat is small, seems capable of almost everything ! I sometimes wonder if you going to make some nicer looking outriggers one day, or is the smallness and ease of packing of the inflatable ones too important to you?

Thanks Guy, indeed, these outriggers are cheap, and they work, but, they won't last, do not cut the waves nicely and are too low down. So, I want new ones with a v shape below, that still fit inside the boat. I plan to combine them with hiking racks, but I still want to be able to paddle with the single blade. Wanted to do that over Christmas but life got in the way. And, a new rudder has priority. And yes, my boat can handle quite a bit, it's very good as is lol.

By the way - where did you get the carbon tubes for your rig?

@@guyhall6241 they are stiff (imcs 35 to 37) windsurf masts, for the mast, I doubled the underside, as that is where they are too flexible. The boom and yard are slighly more flexi. Long windsurf masts are usually best (and easy to get here)

Was it cold in the water at this tour as you had the dry suit on?

It's a new top, not my drysuit. This one is waterproof, my old one stopped working. The water was quite warm already.
