+Anelka The Blue exactly, an EPL fan that actually knows la Liga isn't only about Barça and Madrid, numerous teams have a lot of history, great fanbases and quite some interesting stories, specially due to politics in Spain. Being a culé, it gets on my nerves people calling our league uncompetitive.

The last time Rayo Vallecano played Real Madrid, the scoreline was 10-2. That, to me, is unwatchable. If you're a fan of Real Madrid or Rayo Vallecano you may have watched that match but to the neutral...I don't see what's in it for them. I much prefer a league where the results are much less predictable and not as lob-sided.
This season in the EPL Man City beat Newcastle 6-1. That was the most one-sided affair. During the Pep Guardiola days 6-1 was another day at the office for Barça and Real Madrid. I'm not saying that's boring but a lot of people prefer a more competitive environment.

I would of liked that Rayo okc gotten sucessfull here in Oklahoma because the causes that Rayo in spain is nearly the same for the american worker. Unfortunatly Soccer (futbol) isnt that big as in as Spain. But the club in okc while it played DID have heart to fight in their games during its existance. My respects to Rayo Vallecano.

as a spanish league football fan ,Barca to be more precise ,course of the years Rayo has slowly become one of my favorite teams to watch, their posession and passing style of football often reminds me of Pep Guardiola's Tiki Taka, Paco Jemez is doing a great job and Trasshoras for me is their team's Xavi.
they have has a combined mixture of veteran quality players (such as Trasshoras, Javi Guera ,Tono ,Rat and so on ) plus players some of the more promissing talents such as Bebe, Jozabed (Bangoura was one of my favorites too, on loan now)
Rayo are always scoring and playing offensive football no matter the cost, often leading ,sadly their defense need some big improvements if they want to survive in first league or to get some points, i really hope they manage to survive the relegation battle..
I liked there jerseys but I never realized the story behind the club, great video

A few of us went to see Rayo vs Athletic B, in 99, they won 3-0, in la liga B, as a guest with an English friend of a friend who resides in Madrid and works in the football world. We were wearing our Grimsby Town tops to much amusement and intrigue of the local fans and radio apparently (we were jokingly referred to as inglis hooligans...but with no malice) Great atmosphere, and very welcoming. I'll never forget their team anthem as they went on the pitch. UTM and URV
So they are like the Spanish version of F.C. St. Pauli for what I see.
