The RARE HUNT CONTINUES! Thanks so much to all of you guys for your Super Thanks to help us get our hands on this box of Magician's Force! It cost us $5000 USD but you knew we had to do it! I think the Duel was very much worth it! Next time: Dark Crisis!
Guys, I don’t play yugioh anymore or haven’t since I was a kid. But honestly, this series makes me feel so nostalgic!! These boxes cost so much and that makes me so much more grateful to watch this. Thank you all!!
Alec decking out to his own Card of Safe Return is the most anime thing that has happened in this series so far.
Swords Of Revealing Light is Paul's signature card, and it always makes me laugh when he plays it. Appreciate you guys.
ANOTHER GREAT EPISODE! I don't play yugioh, I'm an MTG player, and this makes me want to play classic yugihoh! Love the new cut aways you guys have to explain plays or your general excitement (like game knights) I think more of those could be awesome! Here's me helping contribute to this 5000 dollar box you opened for us o.o Let's get this donation train started :)
Genuinely I miss when Yugioh used to look like this. This is so much better to play and to watch than the current state of the game.
Dark Balter negates the effects of anything it destroys by battle, including all of the flip effects, so Paul actually had game with Jinzo and Summoned Skull still on the board. Also, the Trunade trick works with Premature Burial, but not with the Call of the Haunted, hence why it's still banned today.
The Swords of Revealing Light and buffet of random fusion monsters Paul was flinging were off the chain, what a crazy duel. Total barn burner and Alec nearly came back despite it all with some big plays of his own.
Notice how their turns don't last 5 hours each like in modern cancer Yu-Gi-Oh.
When Call of the Haunted leaves the field, the monster summoned is also destroyed, this would only work if it was premature burial as that card doesn't get destroyed.
I love the mid-game cutaways to talk about the hype from pulling off a sick combo.
This is easily one of the best series on all CZcams. You can see all the effort you put in it.
MFC is one of the most iconic sets in Yugioh and I am so grateful to get my chance at playing with these cards 😭
Paul is such a bro for always leavng Alec his left side! There was also that time when Paul didn't loot anything good so Alec gave him one of his super rares so he can have something to wager. I love lore of these series (as little as there is)! No matter how much they compete for Master Marik's favour, they never forget about their friendship. They are rivals, but not enemies!
When Call of the Haunted is removed from the field it destroys the monster that it special summoned. Jirai Gumo shouldve been sent to the graveyard there when CotH got sent back to the hand. Good duel either way, ppl tend to forget about that part of the effect.
So, when you bounce call of the haunted, the monster should be destroyed too, the combination you were thinking about was with premature burial
This is like sweet spot of power level imo. You guys are going back and forth a lot. The decks aren't super powerful, but are consistent enough where they are getting their strategies off! Great episode!
This is a lot of money, guys! I love your commitment to this series. I'll be cheering you on, thanks for the top entertainment!
See, this is what I love about old YGO. This match really went down to the wire. Interesting loops, back-and-forth gameplay, and actually having to be considerate about your resources. It wasn't just Paul sitting back and twiddling his thumbs while Alec did a combo, with the only interaction being Alec pausing to ask "do you have a response?" To which Paul, tired of this, rolls his eyes and goes "I didn't open any hand traps. You're good, duelist"
This has been the closest and best duel yet great job guys
