@@rvwtrvps760 It depends no a few factors, but even then only the Unlimited versions are under threat. It'll likely have a separate set code to distinguish them, but even if it does not, then there are differences in general card format, PSCT compliance, the Copyright line changing from Kazuki Takahashi to Studio Dice and Konami, and a changeover from Magic Cards to Spell Cards.

Alec tossing basically his entire hand and field into the grave to summon and protect Berserk Dragon is peak anime BS and exactly what we're here to see since we sure as heck never saw it back in the day on the playground! And the fact that it STILL wasn't enough to keep Berserk Dragon for long is hilarious.

I CANNOT believe that Alec was able to summon Berserk Dragon, probably one of the most based plays we've seen in this series so far.

Man, I love the Rare Hunter series. Classic Yu-Gi-Oh cards being ran again with classic strategies. What could be better?
Turns aren't as long, there is interaction and play. And there are more chances of back and forth.
Literally though this is the fun Yugioh and what I remember made me love the game

@@thekillers1stfan He had Archfiend solidier and Gagagigo and still run Jirai Gumo. Paul has Giga Gagagigo and still runs Patrician of darkness.
Other things that don't make sense. Alec has cyber, painful choice, wave motion cannon from previous packs and does not run them in his deck. Having wave motion on the field for a few turns could win him the duel.

@@christianr2354 Alec has been cheesing throughout the series, despite them creating a stipulation indicating playability was a factor in the wager a few weeks back. I would like just once Paul takes from the left side of the box so Alec has to take from the right.

Alec never paid the 1500 life points to keep berserk dragon on the field via the effect of the spell card he activated.
Also Also, My body as a shield was never paid for.

This duel had pure anime shenanigans that left me in stitches. 🤣
So a couple nitpicks
Kycoo cannot banish a monster it just attacked as the damage happens before the monster hits the graveyard.
Also Paul repeatedly overlooks the fact that Bait Doll shuffles itself back into the deck.
Not gonna mention his Final countdows started on 1 insteaf of 0. Or him forgettign to pay 1500 for MBiaS?

The Bait Doll thing is so painful to see as it returning to the deck is one of the best features of the card in my opinion.

Alec got me going with that Blue-Eyes into A Deal with a Dark Ruler for Berserk Dragon and having My Body as a Shield for protection AND the spare spell towards the Magic Drain 🤣

Chaos Command Magician was a pretty sweet anti meta call from Paul.

Remember, bait doll shuffles itself into the deck after you use it! It always goes back unless the bait doll itself is negated, it doesn't go to the graveyard.
Wow well done Paul! When you switherood your ante card I thought for sure you’d lose as it’s your staple card! Then Alec getting Berserk Dragon off! Great duel! Does show why all boss monsters now are immune to everything but loving how these duels turn on a single card! Such a great series! Genuinely cannot wait for the next one!!

God, I loved seeing Berserk Dragon. I love seeing you two take risks in terms of deckbuilding and not just do Trap-heavy Clown Control episode after episode.

Bait Doll was such a fun card back in the day, because you could have removal that didn't go to the graveyard, meaning that when you use a card like Pixie Knight, you can ensure you only get back something pretty OP. Mentioning because I saw it go to the grave, lol. Plenty of flubs in this one like that, but it's all in good fun.
I'm playing Magic the Gathering and came here because of the mtg card rating video with the professor. Although I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh! I love watching these episodes where you just crack open a display and play with the cards. No sick combos I wouldn't understand, just simple gameplay. Really good job guys!

Time to see who loses this time. Speaking of Maju Garzette, there is a german youtuber who summoned him by sacrificing a Blue Eyes, so it had 6000 ATK. Then he walked into a trap, magic cylinder, and lost.

Also, Alec was supposed to be at 2250 at the point of Paul's Mirror Force! He had to pay both for My Body As a Shield and Final Countdown. Bringing him down to 1250 by the time of Chaos Command. Which means he would have ended at 450. I know it didn't matter, but it def could have. Love the series guys!
Dont forget the bait doll shuffle into deck... Couldve changed the duel around with a shuffle

Also neither man eater bug or old vindictive magician target, they just destroy, so Chaos command magician would be destroyed. So both players should learn some rules, but still nice game.

That entire sequence with beserk dragon was crazy when you think remember there are no tutoring or hand fixing cards in that deck. Alec deadass just had an 8* he raw dogged out, the spell he needed, the beserk dragon, my body as a shield to protect it and happened to have a spell still in hand to negate magic drain. That's the most anime card sequence ive seen

Looking forward to Invasion of Chaos, one of the most well known sets, for good reason. BLS - Envoy of the Beginning, still one of my all-time favorite cards. I hope one of you gets at least one of the 2 big Chaos cards in the next set, they add such a crazy element to the game

By far my favorite series on CZcams. Recently fallen off Magic because of how the company's bee running it and getting back into Yugioh and these episodes are a saving grace.
I haven't played real life yugi or collected any cards a bit before the start of the synchro era, i remember vividly that those were the last booster packs i opened back then and some of these cards just somehow brought back the smell of the new cards even tho i havent touched any in almost 15 years.
Thank you for those memories and that nice memorable smell that i just experienced again for the first time in over a decade.

Also seems like the sets are getting less generically good, and more archetype stuff. I'm not familiar with yugioh after like pharaohs servant, so hopefully the next few sets will have more impactful cards for the decks.
Dark crisis was one of my favorite sets! The chess piece archfiends, the guardian weapons, and the Final Countdown! I ran an exodia/stall deck at the time and won so many playground games with Final Countdown and Exodia Necros
Great round seeing the decks get better each round and forming a real deck from those random cards of the first round is amazing. Can’t wait to see how they end up.

I have been rooting for Paul since the beginning. It's always cool to see swords of revealing light pulled out to give some time to catch up. Because of this, Final countdown was genius of Alec. I was getting worried that it might actually resolve! I think I gotta switch sides for the next one and root for Alec.

As someone who still loves Yu-Gi-Oh but havnt played the game since back during the syncro format due to the game just moving in a direction I wasnt super fond of I really appreciate this series and the chance to relive some of my favorite memories from one of my favorite card games.
It's hard seeing you guys miss turns counting for Final Countdown, but I guess it's accurate to how that card worked when I played with my friends as a kid. We were never very good at counting the turns either 😅

This episode popped off! There’s something so charming about how slow and clunky these decks are compared to, like, modern competitive stuff y’all usually do. Feels like two mighty warriors fighting with foam swords and it’s just too good. lol.

Alec loses 90% of the time due to cutting his LP in half for Jirai Gumo effect. I don't get why he doesn't remove that trash card for more reliable lvl 4 monsters with 1900 atk.

Paul and Alec are such a great rivalry. It's so hard to root for one side when both are amazing personalities and just are so damn engaging to watch! Evenly matched! The anime talking and animated behavior, PLEASE DO NOT STOP THIS! The witty banter is why I love this series so so much!
The classic book showcase honestly is also so good. I loved these books when I was a kid! I remember entering the game shop in Mission Valley and got every issue!

What would be interesting, is if you added in cards from the early structure decks that you already have for your rare hunter decks. Let Paul get the Yugi deck, sense he has a DMG, and have Alec get the Kaiba deck to get a third blue eyes

oh cool, so this set had some memorable stuff from my early years. the cool but odly gimped guardians who dont even get to wield their own weapons! the also cool but a little underwhelming dark scoprion gang! and was this the first set for arch fiends? wow!

Summoning berserk dragon should win Alec a bonus mercy pack. Great game sense and timing from both of you, I love watching these duels. The game plays so differently when you both know how the other plays and roughly how the opponents deck will run.
