@@RedRockin2000if I'm not mistaken, he did. In James Luceno Darth Plagueis Dooku was talking about building high profit apartments over toxic waste because profits are profits and it would be wasteful not to build there.
There's more to this than the video let's on, at least in Legends. Aside from the fact that Jango was an excellent bounty hunter, another reason that made him great for cloning operations was the fact that he was human. Cloning is notoriously difficult in Star Wars and generally speaking only possible for human DNA, since the DNA of other species is incredibly difficult and expensive to replicate, even for cloning experts like the Kaminoans. Also, humanity is the most adaptable species in the Star Wars universe, meaning that the clone army would have been able to wage war much more effectively on the different parts of the galaxy. So the only real viable option for an army that would be capable of waging a galaxy wide war was a human template. Cad Bane and other more capable fighting species would have been to difficult to clone on mass and to work with.
He says "You might" meaning "You can ask me, but I'm not gonna tell you, because quite frankly it is none of your business". 'You might' is sarcastic way of saying 'Lol not telling'
Dooku as a dark jedi could read the mind of Jango, also he seems to know about the Mandalorian ways. Dooku doesnt talk unnecessarily, to keep his plan hidden. He is like: this dude wants a son for his Mando shit, which i dont care about, because it doesnt jeopardise my plans.
I always liked this ending. It was a nice connective tissue between Episode 1 and 2, and the soundtrack reinforced that with the Kamino theme during this scene. Definitely a childhood favorite.

Wish this was still canon (wish the EU WAS still canon, but Disney doesn't let people have nice things anymore). This thing connects both the first and second movies so damn well, and the score and story feels like it was pulled out of Star Wars itself. This was tight.
I never got that Dooku intiates the Clone army for Sidious but then he genuinely believes in the Separatist cause, whilst knowing Sidious is merely using them for said army to be created?
Dooku believed in the Empire and a Galaxy ruled by a single strong leader. He thought that dictatorship was the best way to avoid a corrupt bureaucracy. He believed Palpatine would be that capable leader and knew the Empire was coming, he was in on it and he knew of the clones true purpose in becoming the Stormtroopers later and order 66. He led the Separatists but the whole time he knew they were just a means to an end and that the Separatists and the war were needed to create the Empire. What Dooku didn’t know is that he was never meant to be apart of the Empire he believed in, he thought that he would hold a prominent position in the Empire and Anakin would lead Dark Jedi under Imperial Guidance. Of course Palpatine lied about that part and Dooku never realized it until Anakin was about to kill him.
@@gapingMonster Actually, he never wanted to have Palpatine as the leader. He had his own vision for the Empire. He wanted the Empire to be a genuine monarchy with his own family as the ruling dynasty, which would consist of the most powerful Sith. He was also going to keep the Senate as the governing body, but would abolish democracy in favor of a meritocracy. As for his plan for accomplishing this. The plan was to kill Obi-Wan and have Anakin arrest him. Then while in prison, he was going to write down his political ideology, making him look like a bleeding heart idealist who was just misunderstood. Then he would be released and pardoned once Order 66 is initiated, allowing him to publicly ally himself with Palpatine. Then once the war was over, he was going to start a coup against Palpatine, kill him and shape the newfound Empire in his own image.
