Please let this man live to 100. If anyone deserves to, he does.
He's got more energy at 97, then most people 1/2 his age..
Honestly he’s got more energy than most people in their 20’s. Dick Van Dyke is an absolute legend.
I'll say!
That’s why I’m still dancing at 69. Dancers live forever!
@@woolncathairs my great grandfather lived into his late 80s dancing. It wasn't until an injury that forced him to stop that his health declined and he eventually passed away. Never thought of it but you may be onto something.
Our oldest dancer is 85. I’m in a clogging group that performs several times a year locally. Clogging is like jogging so if you do 3 shows every Saturday plus a few scattered through the week, you are going to be in shape! Your granddad had the right idea!
97 years old with a career spanning nearly 70 years and he can still electrify an audience. This was an epic television moment that only he could bring us.
Was not expecting that but the voice sounded familiar.....Mind blown.
Dick might have thought that all that praise was just rhetoric, but DVD is truly beloved!
Nicole was star struck. The tears of happiness, shock, and pure joy at seeing a legend and one of her childhood heroes.
You could tell it was genuine, too, because she geeked out. It was really precious. I would've done the same thing.
Nicole likes to make every single moment about herself. Hysteria is generally her way of doing it.
She was pretty much every person who had grown up with this man in their lives in one manner or another.
@@2010MzHood The fact that you think ‘every person’ reacts like this, hysterically and narcissistically, is evidence as to why most of the western world hate the American personality. Just enjoy people, appreciate them, make the moment about them. Don’t scream, cry and self indulge to the point of people talking about you and not the actual subject.
@@SP-ie1vx I don't mean more so in the literal sense. Like many people, I have never grown up watching The Dick Van Dyke show, but I have seen some of his other works to know how talented he is. These works include, of course, Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Return, but also the original Bye Bye Birdie movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Tubby the Tuba cartoon, Night at the Museum, and I've also watched his small performance during Derrick Hough's rendition of Step in Time during one of Disney's anniversary specials. Now I am only a fan of his; I never took the chance to pursue a career in acting, singing, or comedy, but like the judges, Nick, and the audience members who have seen his works and regardless of whether he was one of their inspirations in the entertainment business or like me choose other paths but still admire him and his works, to have his presence on that show (whether you were physically there or either watching it from home the night it premiered or on one of the streaming networks), how can one not have the overwhelming feeling of excitement, joy, and perhaps gratitude from just the presence of an icon like him? Whether one shows it as Nicole did is up to each person and how they react.
I LOVE this epic moment. He's 97 and going strong. Singing, dancing, bringing joy and love to everyone.
A body of a 97 year old, the spirit and energy of a 5 year old.
Wow! It’s amazing!
Like he said on marry poppin return "I may be old, but I still a few kick left in me."
@@nickle2bird Awesome!
So true
@@nickle2bird He’s TRULY a beloved National Treasure
the man is a legend. I remember him growing and watch his movies and TV shows. What an honor it must have been for him to be on the show, and at 97 still going strong.
Dock van dyke
He is such a huge part of my childhood since I was 12 years old since lockdown.
Now that Betty White is gone.... Dick Van Dyke becomes the most beloved still-living celebrity we have
Yes. And Dolly Parton too.
Willie nelson too.
Marla Gibbs
Frankie vallie
Eva Marie Saint is up there.
America, you got to wrap this National Treasure and legend in love and affection and keep him safe to reach that 100 goal, whilst we here in Britain, does the same with Sir David Attenborough. A lot of you might not have heard of him,but if we Brits think Nature documentaries, and conservation,we think of Sir David.
We definitely know who Sir David Attenborough is here in the states. Planet Earth is pretty popular here on BBC America! He too is a treasure!
Indeed Dick Van Dyke is not only a Great Entertainer but an Amazing Man
2 things
1) Dick Van Dyke is going to live forever (or at least until 120)
2) David Attenborough has NOTHING on Dick Van Dyke (I love Sir David, but when compared to Dick Van Dyke ….)
@@isabeladler867 They are both EQUALS in their fields. Dick for comedy,David for conservation. You British or American.I'm guessing the latter?
My youngest 16 years old daughter knows who is David Attenborough.. He is still legend as Dick Van Dyke..
I find it interesting that some of those young people in the audience were born long after Dick Van Dyke's career slowed down yet they are going absolutely crazy for him. It just shows the impact he's had on so many generations. He's a legend and a national treasure.
I saw someone say that he’s nearly old enough that almost every living person got to experience him as a part of their childhood and it’s so true 😭❤️ he’s an international gem
He spans over decades he has been a part of probably every living persons childhood ❤
Dick Van Dyke. Still kicking ass even at 97 years old. An absolute legend.
97 years young and he is still up for a new challenge. He is a great example to all of us.
No kidding!😊
You gotta love how even standing up is not enough for the judges to express their love at being in the presence of this man. They have to climb up their table to give him an ultra standing ovation
Either an ultra standing ovation, or bawling their eyes out. Both are respectable ways to show their admiration, appreciation, and respect.
How can a 97 year old man still be that good looking? What an icon, God bless him
For him to break of and sing SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS, was awesome and yes, I had to look it up to see how it was spelled😆😆
It is so incredible to me that a man of 97 years is still so full of joy and what struck me the most that he is still standing on his own and DANCING at an age that very few people don´t even reach stuck to a wheelchair. He is definetly and national treasure and you can truly see that he is still enjoying life. I have uttermost respect for this man who was a big part of my childhood and I wish him more years of a happy life!
i am almost 50 and if i tried to do that little jig he did i would be in the next commercial for "Help ive fallen and i cant get up" ...97yso and this man still entertains and melts hearts...
🤣Me & you both! I'm 56!
🤣🙌🏼
He is a a Treasure. ❤️🙏👍👏
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE that the panel and the audience were in awe of the greatness before them. You know he felt that LOVE from them all!
Wow. Watching Dick get his well deserved flowers from the world was truly heart warming.
The masked singer crew did a great job for the costume for such an incredible legendary person. I grew up watching him and he brought such laughter to the world. What an incredible experience.
BY FAR, THE absolute BEST moment on this show, period
Dick Van Dyke! The voice was a dead giveaway for me, at least. But seriously, he starred in several of my childhood favorites: Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc. Even Night at the Museum! Such a great, great talented icon. I’dve cried too, Nicole
I thought the same
yeah...I sound like a Monday morning quarterback, but as soon as I heard the gnome sing I said "that sounds like Dick Van Dyke." But being Gen-x, it's probably easier for us to hear it.
@@clarky23 My mind went blank when Gnome sang.
In the clue package there were umbrellas for his work in Mary Poppins, a stethoscope for Diagnosis: Murder, and when he said he joked with Robin Williams and Ben Stiller that was referencing 2006's Night At The Museum.
The man is 97 and still spry like he's in his 50s. A living treasure!
I honestly teared up. Dick is my very first film crush as Bert in Mary Poppins ever since I could comprehend English (30 years ago). Every time I'm feeling blue I put it on and he makes my heart swell and my lips smile, especially as the old bank manager. To see him at 97 singing so amazingly, prancing like a kid, and having that sharp sense of humor is incredible. Best entertainer in the world.
Amazing how he’s 97 years old and still going strong. He can sing quite well for someone that old. And to watch him dance for like five seconds was amazing as well; most people stop by a certain age to prevent the chance of a injury, but he isn’t afraid and wows us with his skills today. Truly one of the GOATs of entertainment; he will be truly missed when he passes on and leaves us.
Living ledgend and wonderfull actor, Dick Van Dyke i grew up watching his shows, and movies ❤❤😊
What a wonderful moment. I got to chat with him at my work last spring. It was such a pleasure to meet him. Such a kind, talented man..
You got to meet DVD? What was he like?
Those were genuine reactions to a living legend.
I don’t even watch The Masked Singer and I’ve watched this over and over, it makes me so happy 😊 what a legend
this is what "a spoonful of sugar let the medicine go down, Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey
Chim chim cher-ee, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" looks like at 97..... I so love him too pieces one of my favorites of all time (the GOAT)💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
Dick van Dyke embodies the best qualities a man & artist could ever combine. He has got angel qualities to him. Pure warmth & joy & beauty. He and gorgeous Julie Andrews will forever be in our hearts and minds❤️❤️💫💫✨✨🌟🌟
The tears that Ms. Nicole had... I felt those.
I cried as well...
He takes me way back! 🥲
I felt that as well
Ditto!
Every video I've ever seen...the amount of joy this man brings simply be being is amazing.
No way did that happen. The legendary Dick Van Dyke on the Masked Singer. I'm totally shocked, though. I remember him from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins. And Diagnosis Murder, as well.
Yeah! Can you believe that?! 😃
Don't forget Mary Poppins returns. He's really truly a legend.
@@elaineojeda6942 Yes! Of course.
I was crying just as much as Nicole. She said it well...he's our childhood.
One of the greatest moments in recent TV history, this was so marvelous !!!
Made me cry. We need to wrap Dick Van Dyke, and David Attenborough in cotton wool and guard them with our lives! They are our treasures and our happy places ! X
I agree
And sir David Jason!!
He is one of the greatest. I remember him in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Dick Van Dyke show. He is literally legendary and he is an owner to see him on TV and I still have him with us.
What a true legend. I love all his shows and movies. He still knows how to dance 🕺. Still in good shape. A true legend.
🎶A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.🎶 Simply sweet memories flood my mind and always brings a smile to my face.
Also if he wore Bert’s costume again, the whole roof would have needed repairs for the applauses and screams of joy.
I normally roll my eyes a little when Nicole gets her “verklempt” going. But I joined in this one. I had a crush on him at 8 years old. So beautiful. Please live forever, sir.
It's wonderful to see the reaction to this fine man. Truly, a legend in his time.
97 years old and is still killing it! what a legend! thanks for always making my childhood memorable!
So glad to see young people know who he is and appreciate his so much.
My heart swells so much every time I see him out and about, let alone performing! Love DVD!
I just saw this. Sometimes when the judges see the celebrity, you think that they are just saying nice things because they are expected too. Not this time. The tears were real for Nicole. The term legend is thrown around a lot these days. Dick Van Dyke is indeed worthy of such a honor. The panel knew it. So do all of us that watched this video.
I SCREAMED WHEN HE STARTED DANCING. SO AMAZING
WE’RE NOT WORTHY!
WE’RE NOT WORTHY!
Dick Van Dyke has been a big part of many generations growing up. His mark on the world is untouched. He can never be replaced.
Got a little choked up, amazing actor, comedian, singer......Human being....
Look at that smile. Falling in love all over again ❤❤❤❤ Legend
I actually recognized his voice!! WOW! Loved him! So happy he took time to do this!!❤️
the true godfather of comedy an icon he turns us all back into kids just amazing
Amazing Man, huge "Thanks!" to all involved in getting him on the MS stage. SO WONDERFUL TO SEE YOU ON AIR AGAIN DICK....
🇺🇸 Loves ya!
I'll always remember him tripping over that ottoman.
This is beyond awesome... May the good Lord continue to bless him. He looks really well, healthy. Yes I teared up too. The best 👌
That was awesome
As the panel saud, he was our childhood, great to see him still so active and energized, what an absolute privilege for that audience
This man is entertainment royalty.
Dick Van Dyke definitely knows he is loved! I cried a river at the reactions!
I'm the same way. I can't watch this without crying. It's refreshing to see the younger generation enjoy Dick Van Dyke!
When stars cry and the world smiles you know we have been blessed by this man
Happy tears! Angela and Mary, you dears, I could feel you watching from heaven too.
Such an amazing man. Yes, he is our childhood.
No matter when you were born, he is part of all of our childhoods.
I love this man. I grew up watching him on TV. The Dick van Dike show played every Wednesday on channel 36 in Houston Texas. If you have never seen the movie " The Morning After," you should watch it. It is a different side of his acting that is incredible and shocking.
The moment I saw him dance in the trailer for the new Mary Poppins movie, I nearly burst out in tears like Nicole.
Tbh I only stuck that movie out so that I could see him.
When he filmed that scene, he caused the entire cast and crew to start crying.
Biggest name on Any Masked Singer ands he's Very Fit and Healthy for a 97 Year Old. Long Live Dick Van Dyke
The WORLD does love you DVD! You are so ingrained in the memories of my childhood when everything was laughter and smiles.
Thank you XOXO
Dude I’m fucking blown away he’s such a kind hearted loving treasure ugh I’m so blown away
how can you miss Dick Van Dyke, his voice is known around the world. love him. living Legend and got the lifetime award from Kennedy Center Honor that they missed.
Such a legend they just couldn't even fathom that it could be him, perhaps didn't know how lively he still was.
what an icon this man is the voice of my childhood
Tears of Joy to see him so full of LIFE AND SPUNK ❤❤❤❤
This man is a legend. This melted my heart. God gave him a great talent to be able to bless us with everything he has done
This video brought me tears to my eyes. Pure joy. Pure legend.
He is an absolute LEGEND! I grew up watching him bring so much joy, laughs, & entertainment to so many. I adore this man! He is incredible! ❤
There are few still- living legends whose careers have spanned 5 (I repeat: FIVE!!) generations. Mr. Van Dyke's work has stood the test of time and is still inspiring to this day. I can certainly understand why Nicole was in tears; I would've been, too.
97 years???hes amazing
I cried tears of pure joy-this man is truly a gift to all children growing up ❤
Cutest costume on the show yet.
I’m sobbing oh my gosh. My joy having this man on Earth is beyond words

An icon! Now that is an understatement of understatements! Dick van Dyke is the epitome of Super Star, Comic Legend and is Still entertaining at 97!! ✨🤩
Dick van Dyke is not afraid of death, death is afraid of Dick van Dyke
U said it!!!
I'm 62...this man was in the very first movie I ever saw.
This made me cry! I absolutely love Dyke Van Dyke. So talented, amazing dancer and just all round humble guy. Took me until I showed my kids Mary Poppins that he was the old banker. My kids love him and it just proves that good clean content is truly entertaining.
I didn;t know until I read this comment
The grandfather of comedy, he invented it all !the biggest icon there will ever be in this world

They will never mach this epic scoop! Well done guys! 🥰🥰🥳🎊

Amazing, one of our greatest entertainers. Thank you so much Mr. Dick Van Dyke
My great grandma had a celebreity crush on him since seeing him on the Dick Van Dyke Show. Loved him but was still loyal to my great grandfather. She died shortly after seeing him perform while in the hospital. Died happy.
