To everyone who is not getting this. The judges and the audience only saw the screen they showed at the beginning with 2D animations and a guy singing backstage. They brought these characters to "life" after the show was over. People animated the characters to look like they were on stage just like Jar Jar Binks was animated after the filming of Star Wars. What we saw and what the audience saw is 2 different things.

Exactly. Which just goes to show how fake these "reality" shows are. In this particular case, even Simon asking to talk to the "producer" was a skit. Whole thing was a set-up, but unfortunately, that's the state of most of the "Got Talent" reality shows now. It's all gimmick, the "winners" are decided months in advance, etc. Mindless entertainment, good for that, sure, but anyone that believes it's anything more than that is going to be disappointed in the "reality" of "reality" TV.
That makes sense... but what I want to know, is in the live finals performances, what are they planning to do? They don't exactly have time to render like they do between the audition taping and this going to air...
If this has already happened and I've missed it would love to know the solution. Only just came across this and I don't watch AGT 😅😂
To add the audience that was cut to was most likely not the same audience that saw this. They took big reactions because that was what made this better.
The crowd sees what we see, but on a flat screen, where we see a 3D animation. However the shows outcome is decided long beforehand to ensure the greatest amount of profits. From paying to vote, selling your information that you provide to vote, ticket sales to shows, streaming rights etc. The one who wins isn't the most talented, but the one who can provide the most financially. It's also why the judges are usually random celebrities, it draws in viewers, even if they have no right to be judging people with their own lacklustre skills.@@JD86Vintage

@@tommyparis5047 - Yes there are. It is a company called Polycat who did a live CGI onto a screen during the show, then re-animated it for the TV broadcast. They are a talented South African team.

This is probably the most unique americas got talent performance ever whoever did the puppeteering deserves a gold buzzer

Not puppets! It's like Hatsune Miku and vocaloids. It's all holo-tech. But instead of a computer generated voice, it's a human doing the singing.
And with this thing, that also means virtual fictional characters can join this contest too!
As long as if it's not AI.
That means, more opportunities for people that shy to show on stage.
So many talents usually coming from the quiet n shy people 😮

Not only the most original I ever saw but a great voice and can hit all the high notes with ease.

I mean maybe original, but not as good as what I think you think happened. The audience and the judge only saw the screen they showed at the very beginning. After the show was over, the performer had someone animate the characters to be on stage for when it was played on TV. The audience did not see what we saw.

Do know how many high notes there are? This shoud be easy to answer for someone who knows 'all the high notes were hit'.
This performance was so amazing and adorable, and the animators did fantastic!! I think they should have gotten the golden buzzer, but 4 yes's are still amazing!
How would you do this at a live show? The animations were done after the show was over. The characters only appeared on stage once it was aired on TV. The audience did not see them like we did. So would you pay money to watch a screen with 2D animations while a guy sings somewhere backstage?

Exactly but every single time a great musician comes up or singer. They always have to have a sob story for them to get the golden buzzer but with those people who have the real talent but no sob story then you don’t get a golden buzzer. The system sucks. And they should get a new one.
It was a animation so there was basically nothing on stage

I think a factor was also the fact that they didn't get to see the animation on stage. I think if there is a second round of buzzers, they'd get it since the judges will have the full expectation of what the acts looks like after the animation.

How? Nobody understands that the only thing the audience and the judges saw was the screen they rolled out in the beginning when Simon was confused. After the show they made the CGI characters appear on stage. The audience did not see what we saw.

nothing incredible about it, except for how deceptively AGT presented this. this is all animation done in post; the audience is literally looking at an empty stage and clapping because they were told to. this is just somewhat low-quality animation on footage of an empty stage.

Confused and wondering how they did this animation lol but wow it was absolutely incredible and just so talent of those who did this performance!!!
The entire performance after the dog is done talking is prerendered and basically a karaoke performance. The talking the dog did before and after the performance is ad libbed with software that animates the dog live.

My guess is augmented reality. The animation is on a screen for the live audience, but the TV audience sees them on the stage. They do something similar in Asia during concerts and sporting events. Like they will have a dragon fly around the field. The TV audience sees the dragon on the field, but the fans in the stands can see it on the jumbo trons.
Was that three standing ovations for one act? That alone is impressive and well deserved, those vocals were being belted like no tomorrow

I don't know or truly understand how any of this was possible but it makes me wonder if magic actually does exist or if maybe there are living puppets amongst us. This was inexplicably amazing!
It was explained at the start. The stage was empty for the entire performance and they were animated in afterwards. Everyone's reactions to the stage stuff was improvised or added post-edit.
@@i5m1thyYep, just a tip also, Magic comes from the word "magiks" which meant machine that defies understanding. Magic is literally primitive peoples way of describing technology they haven't acquired yet. It never meant fireballs and lightning strikes. If you think about an EMP, it looks like a bolt of lightning flashing by in the sky or air. Guns, explosives, both look like the power of fire. Because to someone without those things, we control the very elements.
So magic is the correct word to use, but not in the context you were intending. It's magic because we, normal people, don't know how to movie edit a pet puppet band onto a stage on live TV. Or how they make hulk, the hulk. We only watch in awe at what we call movie magic.
@@Rannis_Consort I don't argue that you can define this as magic but it also isn't my preference. I think a performance that requires the audience in the room to watch an empty stage is kind of lacking as a performance. The Gorillaz have been doing a similar thing with more class and style for decades. Riot Games and K/DA also figured out a similar post edit performance except they performed on stage too.
They are talented animators and musicians but personally I think they should perform for those in the room as well.

It also appears in late Latin meaning sorcery. In all origins, it has to do with the art of influencing or predicting events. I don't know where you got a machine that defies understanding when the etymology of the word never mentions that and there were not a whole lot of machines in 600 BC.
This isn't that impressive if you consider the band Gorillaz. The animated band literally made some "live" performances like this, but better lol

this is the cutest most funniest thing i have ever seen in my whole entire life
for those wondering, the audience and the judges only saw a screen with a cartoon playing on the screen. The animators then created a 3d animation before the show, and then they played on top on of what we, the TV viewers, where looking at. It's like putting 2 screens, one that shows the tv show, and the other screen shows the animation, both layerd on top of each other.
In reality it's a little bit more compicated than what I just said, but this is not amazing or new in any way. His voice is what's actually impressive, not the animation.

They are all cute Great band the comedic interaction BETWEEN CAT and Bun was a joy how they move everything Bun said and did was fabulous even the judges comments from start to finish was adorable Simon Sophia Heidi you made it so entertaining with ..thiscool band really rocked out! .I have to say that was an above beyond performance I would of given it a GOLDEN BUZZER for all these factors! 🎉❤🎉..I think it would be great to have a Vegas mega show of all these animators and ventriloquists..who can resist the adorable animals and great singing voices too! why? All the vegas show would be is a movie screen with the performance on it. All pre recorded because they can't do those animations live. I wouldn't pay vegas money to watch a movie.

Class was in for Britain and this wonderful and amazing woman taught them a very valuable lesson NEVER judge a book by it's cover. And kudos for Amanda she seem to want to Susan Boyle at least a chance. Amanda was rewarded for her heart.

@@2ndos1Agreed, but the weirdest part is that technology currently exists to actually have them “on stage”. There are hologram concerts where an animated character preforms using some clever screens/projectors and glass shenanigans. Hatsune Miku is one of the biggest IPs that does this type of concept in Japan. They really should have done something like that.

That horse has skill holding drumsticks with hooves, producing cymbol sounds, sitting like people playing the bass drum, is even the tourbus.
