Kate and Heidi throwing in lines that Adele wasn't expecting totally made this skit. This was hysterical because of that. Kate's accent was spot on.

I think I keep coming back to this particular video because of just how perfectly it was set up for Adele to break in the most catastrophic way. Unlike most sketches, there are no props and alternate camera angles for Adele to hide behind. It's one consistent angle the whole time, and you can see Adele awkwardly try to cover her face with her hands before just giving up and bending over. It must have been so hilariously painful for her to have to stand there the whole time, I love it.

I once read that a lot of ppl thought Adele was such a sad, serious person because of her songs' lyrics. After getting to know her, they quickly realized she was really a fun-loving goofball who loved to laugh. This skit proves it. That's gotta be a big part of why everyone loves her. Keep laughing, Adele, keep laughing.

I agree with several comments on here, That Adele's breaking of character with her laughter is just priceless!! She makes this skit hysterical!! And Kate and the other ladies when they delivered certain lines is funny too...Every time I watch this skit I see a different reaction to Adele's laughter...SNL needs to have Adele host more often...She has lots of potential with her acting.I love her laughter....It's infectious...

That was my favorite part of the skit, because it made fun of Americans' willful lack of knowledge with geography. Far too many of my fellow countrymen think Africa is a country.

Louis CK said something that was told to him when starting as a comedian, "you stay in the bit! you don't laugh with the audience, if you pretend to be angry and is killing, you stay in character and double down". Easier said than done I'm sure.
