Being able to sing live without a microphone and it sounding good really shows the person is a great singer, different microphones can have different sound quality and make a person's voice sound different, she really is one of the best singers of our generation.
There's microphones all over the place on stage. It's not a play (with all the room noise)
And Auto-tune came be used in real time now, too

You're hearing her through all the mics in the room, and they add reverb when she starts singing. That being said, she does have a very good voice; and to sing without context is a damn hard thing to do. She did great.

Her natural voice plus live mixing. I know this because I am an engineer and singer.
She sound absolutely NOT like the studio version, she’s lost all the power in her voice, it’s pretty clear she sounds so different

But it isn't power she has lost, it is depth and tone. She voice sounds thinner and and not as thick as her younger years. Not necessarily a bad thing. Most likely caused from weight loss and the latest time she damaged her voice.
I've seen her live and she actually manages to sound even better live which I never thought was possible? But damn she's amazing. I'll always remember that concert!

According to her stories, she and her fellow costume designers would gossip about how unfairly the actresses were treated compared to the men. Also, Marilyn had serious work done so she would be star quality. We're talking nose job, boob job, cheek implants, ect.
@@cooperminion825 not sure where you got this from, if you look at the movie actresses from those times, none of them look emaciated. It was in fact “unfashionable” to be too skinny which is why you can find adverts from that time that tell women how to gain weight.
The super-skinny/emaciated look only became popular in the mid-to-late 1960’s with the rise of models like Twiggy, mod fashion, etc.

i have to say, this is one of the best things i have ever seen on SNL, it has lots of funny moments simply spoofing the airhead bachelor shows, the idea of Adele herself being a contestant is so wonderfully absurd and then making her the bit*h of the group by singing her famous broken heart songs right there, the singing itself is impeccable, last but not least Adele looks absolutely amazing and beautiful, the hair, the dress, just wow!

She didn't come as musical guest because she hasn't written anything new in years. Yes, she could have done these songs, but I don't know how common that is in SNL, if ever, to not do recent songs. It made more sense to get H.E.R., because she has new stuff. However, it'd be a travesty to have Adele host and to not have her sing, so I think giving her a sketch in which she sings her hits is a great idea.
