The title of your videos picked my attention as I plan to generate my own electricity using various engineering methods. No offense, but you both seem clueless and unprepared for the huge challenge that is going against the environment and, pretty much, the world.
We do know what we are doing we are just beginners đ
We used the last few months to learn about foraging and permaculture and we still learn new stuff every day
It's currently the most positive challenge we have lived and even if we look unprofessionnal that because we don't want to burded ourselves with anxiety and not have fun while trying to live differently đ
We are grateful for your investment and your comment , hopefully in a few years you will find what we are doing better â€ïž
Because a dream without fun doesn't sound good to make a reality đ
Honestly, I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to try living this way. I've been curious about living off the land for most of my adult life and have done enough research to know it's not an easy thing to do in many ways...but it looks quite rewarding in terms of the freedom you must feel. I know you mentioned in another comment that this is open land, but I'm curious, can you legally do this sort of thing on property that you own in France? That's one of the most frustrating things here in America - even if you own your land, there are so many regulations that you cannot truly live free even if you wanted to (well, without being hassled by government). In many places across America, it's illegal even to live in a camper or tent on your own property. Quite sad really, especially in a nation nicknamed the "land of the free". I wish you both the best of luck!
Thank you very much for this lengthy comment and questions đ
It is really rewarding ! We are lucky this area is great for our projects so things are going good for us but it can be really difficult depending on where you are in the USA
Well what we are doing isn't living , as we say we are homeless so in this open place though by an old anarchist friend of the family we do art as part of this CZcams channel đ
That is the best we can say for our situation but there are some really dumb and unproductive laws like in the USA in France in general
But in the USA we know of two projects similar , one composed of earth ship in the new mexico desert and one called slab city we think
Again thank you for your comment â€ïž

I'm happy this video showed up in my feed. They're young and they're out there learning how to live. I hope no harm comes to them or their animals. I don't agree that what they're suggesting in the title is really being demonstrated in the video at all. It'll be interesting to watch how they progress over the years in their ethos and how they live.

Oh wahou ! This helps us greatly thank you â€ïž
Im kinda confused... this appears to be like a little farm or something... I mean do yall live in tents or sleep in tents? And what are you doing about animal food & veterinarian care for all the farm animals?
Dont get me wrong Please, I mean NO DISRESPECT AT ALL... And I totally understand wanting to be self-sufficient but I also know it takes money to run a successful farm even a small one,,, at least in the beginning... At least thats what I have always observed with everyone I know that runs a small little farm like this...
But as I said I mean ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT AT ALL... AND I WISH YOU ALL NOTHING BUT THE BEST & GOOD HEALTH & SUCCESS!! GOD BLESS YOU ALLđđ»đđ»đđ»
Hello đ€
So :
This isn't a farm it's an open place đ if it was a farm the animal wouldn't be able to get around freely
The food is either our leftovers, or find in the wild (for the goats for example) and if need be we also have some stock (meat for the dogs for example)
You are right if it was a farm we would need money but this is an anticapitalist art project so the goal in itself is to live with as little money as possible !
As for the how we sleep, because we are homeless and it's illegal in our country we can't explain how it works đ
We want to try to be able to live with as little money as possible for us and our animals and if we manage to earn money we will either improve our settlings, support our other art project or finance other people that want to have similar project đ
Thank you very much for this kind and respectful comment â€ïž we don't believe in god but we wish you the best and for a life full of blessings â
Ever thought about getting housing. My mom and I been homeless for a lil more than 2 years in Montana of all places. Very cold Winters. But we eventually made it into housing. We have a place now and are living great. I'm just saying with a little effort and patience. You don't have to be homeless. It was never an option.
Cool pets. But common how can you take care of all thoughs animals......but not yourself. No disrespect
@@user-jb2sz2sj4v thank you for sharing your experience it must have been really hard for you and your mom and we hope thing are better for you now â€ïž
Our situation is a political and artistic choice meant to display the absurdity of living under capitalism, the fact that you were forced into homelessness is part of the reason why we want to show this aspect of our society
Food, health, water and shelter should all be fundamental right of humanity and we hope to provide this for us and as many people as possible during our short life on this beautiful planet
For us, being homeless is taking care of ourselves, for example we made sure to move to a warm place before living outside
We will construct liveable structures as an artistic project to denounce the absurdity of saying there is a housing crisis and not a capitalist society trying to make money by exploitation like it always did.
@@user-jb2sz2sj4v thank you for your comment â€ïž we hope we clarified our projects đ
Would love to know how yall are legally safe on that land. Love your land setup âĄ
We are safe but the legal aspect is shaky at the moment đ
But as someone once said , dumb laws are meant to not be followed
Otherwise women in France wouldn't have worn pants until past 2000
I'll say it cause nobody else in this comment section would. We don't live in Utopia. Homelessness is not quirky and there are monsters out there who wouldn't bat an eye to attack vulnerable people. Serial killers, rapists, robbers , CANNIBALS for God's sake! You're not making a statement, just a big mistake that everyone here seems to be enabling. You won't stay young and capable forever. You'll get old and society won't spare a minute to care for you. You're not refuting capitalism, you're feeding yourselves to it.
If the simple fact of going in the streets means we are discarded by society then society is the problem not our actions
Homelessness is the default mode of humans who have been nomadic for around 12.000 years and we were for some aspect in better shape and health than our current society
And we were able to care for the sick and old then so if we devolved enough to stop caring that an evolutionary dead end in our opinion
While it's true that outside there are all the issues you are talking about the same is true for cities
Actually, the high number of humans in one place tends to increase the probability of everything you are talking about đ
We know we won't stay young forever that's why we are doing this now and to be fair the perceptive of having issues with all our bills on two salary's on minimum wages and working until 64 to have a retirement we would be too old to enjoy doesn't sound like a life perspective
Thank you for your concern though â€ïž it's really appreciated and unlike some comment you sound like you care for our wellbeing đ

Capitalism is the accumulation of riches so as long as you aren't doing that it isn't capitalism

So thank you very much for this encouragement đđđ
When are you going to stop using products created by capitalism? Wish you luck though. I admire self sufficiency.
It's a really good question...
That depends on the level of sophistication of the tool, we could do some axe made with woods and stone but we are solar punks so we want to stay connected and use modern technology and knowledge to create the future and so for example we want to use internet and electricity
Most of the components for them are beyond what we could do in a lifetime yet they are what taught us the knowledge we needed to try to make our dream a reality, so we want to keep that
So that's a question of what tools we would say
Amazing question, if you have more to say on the subject please do this would help us think about it some more đ
Youre no less a capitalist than an investment banker cant escape it
Waaaaah .... How ?
They will use money that isn't there to create speculative bubble that in the end create inflation and poverty killing millions worldwide
We are just trying to create our own way of life
How are we as capitalistic ? Like really ? We don't use anything from the grid so we by default use less resources and that is not even mentioning our ideology ?
@@AzrodandPiouPiou you're still uploading videos onto youtube, profiting off the labour of past generations using technologies like generators and solar power. you're impact is far lower than jeff bezos but we're all stuck within a capitalist system imagining yourself as operating outside of it is a fantasy. maybe the fact you're using less is a positive thing for sure I think thats a fair argument - theres something to be said for degrowth. but maybe the path forward is to accelerate the self destuctive aspects that are internal to modern politics. I have no idea what to do
Well first thank you for expressing your opinion
It's true we are stuck in a capitalist system but it doesn't mean you can't be an anticapitalist
We define capitalism as an accumulation of wealth , therefore publications on CZcams aren't capitalistic unless we get paid
Which we aren't ...
Also, we try to share our work for free as much as possible, this is also an anticapitalist move
And finally, you need to keep in mind that technology and knowledge aren't capitalistic in nature ! Everything we know come from the work of a worker and usually this work end up being exploited
In a nutshell: we are trying to exploit as little things as we can in our life
Regarding what can be done : we want to create a solar punk futur where people could choose between capitalism and something else
And to do so we want to research alternative lifestyle that keep you connected to both society and nature , hence the solar punk
It is though to be for various community so like in anarchist project
It's true that dooming is a path forward but we are humans: we are monkeys that reached the moon because we can dream. So believing in a dream free of property and exploitation sound like something nice to live for đ
@@AzrodandPiouPiou fair enough i sincerely think its not really possible to live outside of capitalism even what you're doing. of course i have a lot of sympathy for what you're trying to do. im heavily infuenced by the work of mark fisher if you konw him. I would suggest that many non profit motive and non wealth accumulative activities, are the most effective at reinforcing capitalism. philanthropy/charity for instance has historically removed moral guilt for people and accountability for institutions, one look at a country like the congo makes this clear. id really love to have a solar punk future so i hope im wrong. i dont think dooming is a path forward to be honest im stuck I dont know what to do im sure ill figure something out eventually though
@@noahlenten8360 well again that is really brave of you and we agree that philanthropy is mostly used to create a good image but not change the system
That is why we want to give back the means of production, hence challenging the basis of capitalism and we know it can work , we just have to see if we can convince other people as well đ

God during the winter seasons we would actually have to build our own nomadic structures to survive, a tent in no way is capable of shielding through even cold nights in the desert this kind of stuff just irritates the crap out of me. We struggled so harshly with the little we had, and these people entertain themselves with it like it's funny.
No it's not. You're willingly putting all of those animals at risk for your own arrogance and hubris.
Actually
We are people originating from Africa (not the desert) so the winters weren't that harsh during our evolution unlike the competition for food and other animals
And before we invented any kind of building technology we understood like many animals that caves give you shelter and a temperature balanced environment
Also, we were taught by a tribe to be able to recognize and thrive on foraging alone, giving us way more diversity in our diet than the one we have nowadays (we only use around 5% of what's edible for humans as our basis for everything)
Don't worry though we will think of better shelter for the cold but even then, we are in a warm climate zone so we aren't in a bad spot to begin with đ

Hello from đșđČ. You're an inspiration.
Thank you â€ïž hello from đ«đ· you are what's inspired us to do better video đđđ
Only idiots try to leave the free market and their own freedom. If you want to be enslaved that's your own business, but capitalism is not corporatism and you rejecting the free market is like a slave regecting his freedom.
We don't leave the free market we are trying to create one with you and any viewers using the internet to bypass as much intermediary as possible (we know CZcams is a corporation no need to say it)
Also really please use the proper definition of capitalism, which is the accumulation of capital, it's not the same as refusing freedom or would be more like refusing to live the life of someone else based on something you don't necessarily like
Like being forced to be heterosexual when you are gay , or forced to work in a regular job when you'd rather create alternatives, stuff like that
@@AzrodandPiouPiou The word capitalism comes from the same root as capital city, cap, and even cabeza in spanish. It means head. Capitis dominius maxima is the legal status which your is represented in the name in all "capital" letters that looks like yours. Capitis dominius maxima is the term used in Roman law (and modern law), referring to the extinguishing, either in whole or in part, of a person's former status and legal capacity. In other words, identifying yourself as such is consenting to identify as a slave. If you are decapitated you have lost your life. Capitalism really means that you own your own head and therefore the product of your own efforts and time, and therefore you are free on the market. Free market is free menn and women exchanging freely without third party interlopers who take a claim to your head. It is a market that is not of slaves ("persons" with diminished legal status) and corporations (corps). Don't let your university professors leave you confused. You have to look much deeper than they even know. You have to look at the origin of the use of the word. Capitalism doesn't mean the accumulation of capital because that is circular logic. What is capital then? Capacity is another related word. All has to do with you owning or not owning your own head.
And you don't think it's slavery to summarize your values as capital ? You are more than a legal status and capital that why it's actually the opposite, being in capitalism is alienating and modern slavery as we said in previous video
But you raise a great question, what is capital ? It's a value and it meant to go up in capitalism, that why we have the modern making of money that isn't based on convertible raw resources and create the hardcore inflation we experienced in the pasta decades
But in theory if capitalism was a society based on increasing happiness number in a society the goal would still be increased capital but the results would vary
The issue then is that if you want a global system you need a normalized definition and that means not taking in consideration the unique point of view and riches of everything, that why anarchism who is the abolition of rulers is the best if you want freedom
That is why before when we talked we explained that you are describing anarchism not capitalism
đ: Also, a society where the name implies that the head so a few is the ruler absolute sound horrifying , I'd rather have it made with hearth and feeling than cold logics
@@AzrodandPiouPiou Sorry, you missed the point. What is the origin of the word? Capitus: head. You either own it (and operate on the free market), or you don't an you operate as a slave using your all capitalized name, identifying yourself as a corporation (corps / slave), and probably even work for a corporation, and definitely have fooled into consenting to a third party interloper (the government) taking a portion of your life effort and your life. Capital is your life effort; what value you have provided to others which you have accumulated.
@@AzrodandPiouPiou Also, you cannot be a anarchist and believe that the state has the right to interfere. The FREE market is for those who excersize their freedom. But socialists (those who believe they can delegate actions to public servant which no one has any right to do) always confuse the meaning of capitalism.
For those who are put off by the title, I hope that you can still admire how this couple is working toward self-sufficiency. After all, if you agree with capitalism, why would it bother you if they are using tools which were-from your perspective-made by capitalism? Moreover, self-sufficiency and minimizing the extent to which external forces govern our lives are common values in countries such as the U.S. (which is where I'm assuming a number of the commenters here may be from), which are values that this couple holds as well. And so, even if you disagree with some of their beliefs, I hope that you can see how their values may not be so different from yours... đ«
