Roman Reigns heel turn was the top one
Witnessing Eddie win that title back in 04 as a kid live from the Cow Palace, was an amazing experience.
So true legend Eddie ❤️
i wish i could revisit that event but sadly i can never im a big fan of eddie
and jbl eddie guerrero steel cage match was awesome back in the day missed those day's
I’d argue that WWE listened to the fans about Reigns much sooner. The 2014 Rumble is mostly remembered for Daniel Bryan not being in it, Mysterio getting booed for being #30 instead of DB, and Batista winning it for no other reason than being Batista. But Reigns gave a great performance in that Rumble as well with 12 eliminations, and the crowd was cheering for him. He actually did well as a face initially before he had a hernia and was off tv for a few months, and when he came back it was obvious that Vince was very hands on with his sufferin succatach promos, which were god awful.
Nah reigns was being pushed for a number of years as a face... they gave in, they didn't listen... when stone cold was starting the stone cold character as a heel, when the fans started cheering him, they pushed him as a anti hero face within a couple months... when they originally brought the rock in as a clean shaven goody good nice guy face gimmick and the fans resented it... they herd the fans response n made him heel... wwe haven't listened to fans reactions since they became a public traded company
@@JohnTheBaptist87 Reigns was part of the Shield at that point. He wasn't pushed as a singles wrestler until after the 2014 Rumble
Is that the same rumble where the Rock helped him win? If so, he was booed like crazy that night. So much so to the point where the Rock was confused.
@@Hillbillabeast no, the one that Batista won. But fans were chanting for Roman before he got eliminated
Beautifully written. I always appreciate true fans!!
The Rock was being booed when he arrived despite his best efforts to get fan love, but when he saw the “Die Rocky Die.” sign at WM and the continued jeers they turned him heel and a star was born.
But they didn't ride that pony into the ground...did they?
@@chinomnsochinke238 That's because WWE wasn't in a position where they would have been able to force push that Rocky Maivia character he was portraying. They were in direct competition with WCW , who had been beating them for weeks. So they went with the heel turn way sooner. Compare that to the mid 2010's when they weren't competing with another wrestling company & they had bought the competition that had gone out of business years prior. Because WWE was complacent, they pushed face Roman, thinking that was what people wanted.
@@chinomnsochinke238 No, because he pissed off and made movies before he got stale.
@@dhenderson1810 yet and still, he's one of the best to ever do it. And that's because his character wasn't shoved into our heads and down our throats the way Roman reigns has been in both his runs. This current run is boring AF now. I enjoyed it in the beginning, but now the writers have written themselves into a corner.
@@chinomnsochinke238 True. Even when his face look was getting old they turned him heel and Hollywood Rock was introduced. Now that was entertaining. Whether it was him recognizing it or creative, I kind of wish WWE today would recognize these things. Roman should have turned heel a long time ago. Give him some leeway, let him do some things on his own and grow
Such a shame Eddie Guerrero only had one world title reign. I would have liked to see him have more runs with the belt and dominate the main event scene.
They wanted to, but unfortunately he passed just before
Before he passed Eddie was going to beat Batista for the World heavyweight championship at the 05 No Mercy ppv
@@remingtonbouyer this is one of my all time favorite scenes czcams.com/video/QzzaS2gaiLA/video.html
If he didn't died he would've win and dominate it
@@remingtonbouyer In fact, he passed the night he was set to win it.
Stone Cold completely saved WWF from getting bankrupt . He is the G O A T
Not only that he literally started an entire era
@@remingtonbouyer Him and Brian Pillman with that one segment.
John Cena the real goat you wrestling fans sabotaged John Cena career by having him lose way to many matches especially at summerslam hall are trash for that
@@remingtonbouyer John Cena the true goat I say Austin and Cena are the Michael Jordan and magic Johnson of the WWE
Something about there being less people on the roster makes roman feel even better to me.
Even Roman himself is not on the roster now lol
@@mehshutup3041 he’ll likely be back in a couple weeks
@@skinner716 I think it's gonna be at least a month, tho. Especially with Drew calling him out for a premium live event that is going to happen in about three months. Like, imo there is a chance for Roman to return a few weeks before that PLE, I hope that I'm wrong and that you are right, tho. Roman is great, and that's coming from someone who not only prefers AEW, but doesn't mind being called an AEW Mark, so yea.

I still feel like Kofi was an underrated World Champion, and seeing them get squashed by Brock didn't sit well with me, I mean of all people, it had to be Brock, the same person who was given the MITB Briefcase, who btw wasn't even in the match
It still bugs me too. They build up such a good Storyline with Kofimania and it was so easy to get behind him and they had him be squashed to Brock. Like Kofi would have to lose the title eventually but why of all people did it have to be Brock
It was just as disrespectful as how they made Rey Mysterio lose the WWE title
Why y’all crying over Kofi Kingston mid title reign that was not even memorable 😂
@@YouGotPacked187 That's precisely the point. If they allowed him to have a longer reign, we would've better feuds with Kofi eventually losing the title to someone else than Brock in a good storyline! The missed opportunity is what's bothering. Especially with how well received Kofimania was. (Not to mention the "i want my rematch for the title" that's used for almost everybody else but the one's where it should make sense.)
I could do the same argumentation with Bray Wyatt. Cut short when it could've and should've been bigger.
@@sirnetflix7162 Yeah, I think Rey was WWE champion for not even a full day, and The Miz was at the top of his game too, yet they decided to give the title to John Cena again
Listen, the Head of the Table storyline is utterly gold. The way they are dramatizing who they let in, the internal politics, all that is priceless. He has transcended the WWE like Rock and Stone Cold. A few more years it will be solidified.
Still trash the storyline is boring af

Wrong you fans are trash john Cena is the goat he literally changed the entire business from people killing each other to now it being more respectable and people now are starting to be more safer in the ring the pg era did that and that’s the John Cena era
Roman Reigns' current heel persona is like WCW's NWO faction in the 90's. It welcome a lot of fans, receives high praise from wrestling critics, both their wrestling companies would invest and give it ALL while it's hot and until it last and yet eventually be dull, boring, uninteresting as time passes by.
Roman Reigns sucks and overrated you wrestling fans are just trash saying y’all never get what y’all want or saying WWE doesn’t listen to the fans is outright stupid
Nothing in WWE comes close to the nWo, not even their the half-baked reformation of the nWo itself. The original nWo is still the benchmark against which all other angles are pitted but inevitably fall short of.
It would've been impossible to hold down Eddie Guerrero. Man was a master in his craft.
And the fans loved him soo much (me included)
For the time we had with him, it was great. One of the very best.
R.I.P
Rip legend
Turning Roman heel is probably the best thing that wwe has ever done in recent years.
Soo much true
They really took way too long to do it. It should have been done years ago.
@@sickboy703 True but better late than ever right? What matters is that they actually did it.
@@Maxximum_ yeah. And they actually shocked us. Like nearly NO ONE could predict Roman's return at Summerslam 2020.
@@duyphan4617 exactly
I would like to give one honorable mention Jeff Hardy wins the WWE title 2008 was in my opinion Jeff's best year of his career Jeff fought for the WWE title against randy Orton and even was scheduled to win mitb at mania 24 if he didn't get into trouble the fans were clamering for Jeff to win wwes top prize and they pulled the trigger at Armageddon 2008
You are totally right
That thumbnail one, it took the WWE like what 6 years to actually listen to the fans and turn him heel.
It's wild to see they got Roman where they wanted him to be.
Fr. I use to despise him but now I do in a good way because he's great.
@@IamBrixTM Right!! lol you get it.
@Enthusiast of violence It's crazy cause they have all the tools.
He took the route The Rock took. Hated Babyface to loved Heel
@IWC's Favorite Stickman Adam Cole Thank you. He was given awful material to work with. I mean, suffering succotash and such. His push just had Vinnie Mac's fingerprints all over him and the fans hated this, and probably still do, and for a reason, tbh.

I LOVE this video! This is what wwe needs to keep on doing if they really want the ratings to go UP!
The next video should be “top 10 wrestlers who had the best chemistry in the ring”
They rarely do that

Fun Facts:
Lita original storyline was the Mickie James Stalker Angle while being Women's Champion in her 4th reign in 2005/2006.
Charlotte was supposed to be the longest reigning Divas Champion and Sasha was supposed to be the 1st Women's Champion at Summerslam 2016.
WWE almost fired John Cena in 2002 because they think he wasn't good enough. Stephanie convinced her dad to keep him.
Eddie Guerrero was originally supposed to win the WWE Championship again at WrestleMania in 2006.
Roman Reigns actually wanted to turn Heel in 2014 but Vince went with Seth Rollins instead.
If Eddie didn't died he would've been won a number of champions

Agree totally
Kofimania...Kofi Kingston getting a push after 11 Years in WWE. Legitimately pushing a Black WWE star to the Top.

John Cena & Batista Era as World Champions are legendary
Its literally one of the lowest rated era's in history. Cena in particular turned million of fans off of wrestling
Matt Hardy is underrated legend
Yup
Wrestlelamia ❤️ great video as usual
fantastic video
I have a video Idea actually 2. So one could be 10 wrestlers that beat the Demon King form of Finn Balor. So this would be like Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns. And then the next one could be 10 wrestlers who are sure to someday enter the WWE hall of fame like Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and etc
Great episode
Reigns heel turn is best decision which WWE listened to the fans
Yet his shtick got old very quickly
@@kazallroberts yes but the bloodline push is still going strong they never gave up on his heel turn
But reigns not a heel
But they need someone to beat him.

Honorable mention , lettting MVP bring in Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to give us the Hurt business for those fans that wanted WWE to do something with both those guys. But then ruining it and breaking them up for no damn reason.
Wrong you fans are trash john Cena is the goat he literally changed the entire business from people killing each other to now it being more respectable and people now are starting to be more safer in the ring the pg era did that and that’s the John Cena era
I love the videos 🔥
Honorable Mention since she's going to be in WWE 2k22 stacy Keibler's Return to Raw On August 12th 2002 that's what I wanted she was my favorite WWE Diva Growing up and that moment made me a fan of her and the women's revolution is a fucking joke 7 years later I will always support the Divas Era glad I'm a Divas Era Stan and I'm proud of it.
ummmmm...ok. Don't get me wrong, some of the Divas era is fine, but there's a lot of it that is just pure cringe. There's no way you can objectively look at the state of women's wrestling in WWE and say it was better back then.
@@zeropoint216 You're absolutely right
We could’ve put wwe booked Brock Vs. Bobby on this list too.
but the payoff sucked i hope they will have one more match with proper build up
@@shivvaghela723 definitely agree
How I would have done Brock/Bobby: Bobby and Seth are both in Royal Rumble and final 2. Brock screws Bobby out of Royal Rumble, thereby Seth winning it. Seth and Roman have a match to pick stipulation. Seth wins and picks a steel cage match with cage door being locked and barbed wire at top of cage, therefore only winning by pinfall or submission. Usos find a way to get involved in match and Reigns wins.
After Lashley gets screwed (Because brock is scared of Lashley), he gets another chance to face Brock at WrestleMania by winning Elimination Chamber, and he enters at #1. Before the 4th eliminated superstar leaves the chamber, Lesnar tries to screw Lashley again, but this time, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander come to Lashley's aid by handcuffing Lesnar to rope or turnbuckle. Lashley wins Elimination Chamber. Lashley appreciates their help but tells them he wants to beat Lesnar on his own at WrestleMania. Lashley beats Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander come Celebrate with Lashley.
Not really. We wanted Lesnar vs Lashley, but as a main storyline for a huge Main Event, not as a transition match from another storyline. WWE wasted so much to hype a storyline that didn’t need any more hype like Lesnar vs Reigns.
@@TheRealfan1 that’s a hella good storyline I like that 👏🏾
Good vid
I love how everyone says wwe doesn't do what fans want. I remember everyone wanting black and andrade become world Champs and that they wouldve gotten it at aew. Look at it now, it istn possible to book everyone perfect
That guy standing next to Punk blowing a kiss will live forever through that picture 😂
Sometimes I think us fans should choose what happens at wwe
Lol
Ha how long would the company last?
Very good vid
Also wwe finally booked Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar after years of fans wanting the match
Ive been watching wwe from 1990 and daniel bryan yes movement was the most real feeling moment, and one of the best story line, in giving what the fans wanted.

Fresh vid again
can you imagine how loud room be in aew if jhon cena opens one show? lol
Kofimania was awesome
I really wish Punk returned to WWE since it's a changed environment now. Reigns rn is doing what Steve and John did in the ratings and sales
actually WWE didn't heard the fan they actually heard the superstars infact in respect to Romans heel turn well roman himself was heavily involved into it
wwe: takes matt's personal life and puts it on blast
matt hardy: gets mad about it, and rightfully so
wwe: you're fired, pal
However Cena would be the next golden boy while Batista would be a regular top guy.
Ironically the WWE listened to the fans pushing Cena to the top. They then spent ten years ignoring fans when Cena got booed every night and they refused to turn him heel
Batista and Cena were almost equal during te RA era but batista didn't like pg era that much so wwe pushed orton.
@@ben1ben2ben1 Turning cena heel would have been a bad decision he was selling merch also he was gaining fans outside of US also cena never sucked in his promos.
@@unbiasedguy8636 And who could blame him, wrestling should never be a PG product.

Update this when the fiend comes back at hell in a cell
Also when jeff hardy won the wwe championship!!!!!
Honorable mention: making Bret Hart the guy instead of Lex Luger. It took a lot for them to admit the Luger experiment had failed and to instead go with the smaller more technical Bret Hart, instead of the big guy fans were used to.
That ONLY happened because of the steroid trials going on at that time.
Vince put the belt on Bret (and later Shawn) to take the focus off rounded guys having the belts).
It's the reason Lex Luger jumped ship back to WCW ( on Nitro's debut) because plans changed, and he was pissed off about it.
I wish I had pursued being a wrestler when I was young. I’ve been trying to bust Into the scene but I’m 34 so unless I have a Cinderella DDP type run I don’t see me getting anywhere. I have always wanted some DDT variant called the future endeavor

Still wish Reigns turned heel in order to beat Undertaker, which would have made him the guy sooner and then that would domino into having some more popular stars now, but at least we finally got there.
What heel idk what people are talking about
@@Dark-Pikachu1 Heel in wrestling means bad guy. Roman Reigns was made a lack-luster babyface or good guy that was not compelling you would beat all the legends people really liked. The final straw for me was him beating the Undertaker and still trying to be the hero, he should have been made the villain way sooner since people booed him anyways.
Make no freaking since man Roman is trash overrated his push his run is overrated John Cena is better then him
They didn't FAIL to listen to the fans, they REFUSED to listen to the fans.
Roman Reigns was hated because his character was bad roman reigns became more of himself after his leukemia treatment and then at summerslam they finally gave him the turn that was long overdue
They’ve always listen to the fans the fans are just fickle and can’t make up their mind They change their mind on a whim
They brought back Matt Hardy only to bury him soon after. That really pissed me off as I was a Hardy fan.
Eddie guerrero winning the wwe championship deserving really deserving Rip
social media is the reason why WWE is going the direction it is... creative is turning NXT and now main roster into the cartoon network... however the bloodline not being involved in next couple of ppvs its going to show despite the criticism of them being supposedly being shoved down everyone's throats
Eddie should've kept the title longer than he did. Just like Jeff should've
