Imagine if one of the wrestlers insulted North Korea and China....
OH S*
Scott Norton did that at a WCW NJPW show and he was kidnapped from his room brought surrounded by secret agent looking guys that told him if he did that again he’d kill them. He insulted them when his wife called accusing him of cheating to which he replied “you don’t understand, you can’t do that here, you don’t understand what kind of shithole I’m in.”

For a country that's so insanely worshipful of their flag why did the US think disrespecting others countries flags would go down well?
Dunno. I would stomp theirs if I was a wrestler ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@randomjap8431 i think it is important to note that the WWE is not the USA government. if the WWE desecrates another country's flag then America and Americans are not to blame lol the statement you said is: "so insanely worshipful of their flag why did the US think disrespecting other countries flags" the US did not disrespect another country's flag the WWE did get your facts straight. you obviously hate America, and you are stretching to find justification for being a xenophobe boarder line racist or like in Canada we call you rednecks.
What do you mean "Why did the US..." when you're talking about something a company did in the context of entertainment? They're not the US lmao. WWE has done plenty of anti-American storylines, what are you even on about?
Also, since the WWE is based in a country where it's literally legal to disrespect and burn the flag your comment is beyond ironic. The only countries that worship their flags are the ones that prosecute you for insulting your country. In America you can insult your country all day, every day.
Because we're a holes
@@randomjap8431 Expect to get jumped if you do lol
1 time a country disrespected WWE
Randy Orton: casually eating popcorn
@Robo no, Randy was assaulted in South Africa. So it was a reference to that incident
Maybe its a good idea to stop making characters that represent whole countries so that you dont end up insulting the whole damn country when you insult the character?
True that but common sense isn't all that common haha.
Or maybe don't do super jingoistic propaganda by being like "hurrrr murrika best me blow nose on flag"
That would be good too
@@jayhollows5729 Well, maybe they also shouldn't have wrestlers that say "america bad. Americans inferior"
@@michaelhall736 I mean the need to have those to make them easy to hate and justify the counter actions of the baby face, you know the old ''good and bad guy'' routine, it's like old action movies with the Russian villain or south american or German or middle eastern or what ever it works at the time, american audiences need something easy to hate (at least in the old action movies or wrestling) and thanks to the american patriotism the easiest way is to have the villain ''hate'' the country and it's people, the writers know that and that's why they do it
@@anthonyxv864 I don't really think we should get rid of either. But I always hate it when people think being a patriot for America is a bad thing but not when a non-American is patriotic of their own country.
lol in other words, when WWE apologized to India, they meant: “we are only sorry cause we still want your money. oops lol.”
Idk why you only mentioned India that's literally why they apologized to every other country
The way they worded it made it seem like it was all Kurt’s fault lmao
India Is poor
So, you're new to the business? xd
@@truth8999 that doesn't give you right to disrespect whole country.
I actually attended the show with JBL doing the Nazi salute. The tag match between Eddie and Taker vs. Booker and JBL was actually the main event and IIRC (it's been 16 years) it was a mess. Started out as a normal singles match feat. Eddie vs JBL, then Booker interfered, afterwards Taker attacked Booker and ultimately it was turned into a tag match. Although JBL's act is definitely offensive I feel the crowd realized that he was attempting to draw heel heat to compensate for stupid booking, rather than making a political statement.
If that was the case, then JBL should’ve gone for something more... appropriate.
@@kidz4p509 it was definitely appropriate. He was saying only saying hi to fuhrer Merkel.
ion know because JBL has done A LOT. of racist or offensive stuff towards other superstars & to the crowd
It doesn’t matter. It’s illegal and it should be in America, too.
A fucking gesture should be illegal? Get over yourself.
The Indian flag incident is coming up now? Seriously just as WWE is opening an NXT branch in India.

As a german, that's highly offensive. It's illegal and hurtful. It's insulting all of the people reminding them of the worst crime in human history.
Not only is it illegal to flash it for any reason in Germany, it’s also illegal to do that act of such in Austria, Slovakia, or Czech Republic. Public OR private. You can be thrown into prison immediately.
I even saw that the Australian state of Victoria recently decided to make it illegal to display such imagery or displays of such material like that, including flashing the said enemy salute.

In germany, we had a female referee at football (soccer). The german league is pretty big in Katar and Saudi Arabia and everytime the woman was leading a match, they edited a black bar over the referee. It was so incredibly dumb, so some football magazines asshamed the countries big times and alot of teams are getting major heat when they are in connection with those countires (especially Bayern). That's also one of the reasons, why our national team made protests against the WM in Katar during the last EM.

I think that Jericho's attitude towards the Brazilian flag was what made WWE not come back here anymore. Fortunately, television broadcasts to Brazil returned in 2015 and are still going strong today. Glad to know that Wrestlelamia remembered that case.
Yeah...nazi salute in Germany...that's something we take personally. It's forbidden by law and you can be put in jail for that
for good reason. wenn es jemand wissen sollte dann wir
@patrick torres because we don't want that to repeat itself in any kind of way and it always starts with the little things
Thanks for this info.
@patrick torres there's no need to apologize dude , you were just asking a question out of curiosity.
It's actually banned in alot of countries, not just in germany, lol. Do it in Poland, do it in France and alot of other european countries and you will either beaten down hard or go to prison. So yeah, it was dumb by JBL.
Yes, kicking the flag of Brazil (my country), it almost cost all the work that had been done since 2008 to make Pro Wrestling grow again in the country.
Chris Jericho also bad mouthed the Philippines during a WWE tour here in Manila. People had a great time getting insulted because they know Chris Jericho is just staying in character.
Yeah because we can take a joke

but it was different back then. nowaydays you'd have a bunch of vegan revolution-larpers come after you, so nbd, since nobody else would give a damn.
but back then the wounds were a lot fresher.
there probably were people in the crowd who lived through the reich and the war. so, yeah, difficult matter,
What he said is how it's supposed to be. Wrestling is supposed to be offensive. If the heels can't get heat then you don't have any heels, thus you have no real babyfaces which is where we're at now where everyone's a tweener and people care more about the flippy floppy bullshit than any kind of actual wrestling drama you can get invested in.
He’s a nazi
Being paid for being a bad guy good percentages of his career granted that it is illegal to do that in Germany

@@billygraham9267 Hey there, I'm working for the german Government, so let me bring some light into this.
Performing the hitler salute in a public place, or any event where people can see it, is considered "volksverhetzung", which basically means stirring up hatred. Performing it is increadilby illegal, even in movies etc if the movies don't have any historical or educational relevance - it straight up gets censored. In games, the swastikas have to get replaced as well. So no, WWE doesn't count as historical or educational content, so even if you're acting, you're committing a crime.
