Thank you for the transparency of chaos that comes with having children and working it out with your wife through the good and bad. You don't see that often. Gives everyone a realistic picture of the things that they need to do in order for things to work out. Dying to yourself, submitting to let your partner shine so that you both can succeed, being drained but having each other's back. All those things are hard but life but real. And at the end of it you'll be in the house with a love so much sweeter for each other
I personally think it’s so important to just try and remember even when upset or frustrated that you guys are never against eachother but are a team. I am a huge planner myself when I'm in a chaotic situation, like moving or planning a vacation across the country. It's my way of being able to control the pieces and making sure nothing gets missed. Sounds like it could be Charlotte's method too and it's awesome that you accept that about her.

It sounds like this is the “meet in the middle” phase for each other to accomplish the big picture. There are CZcams videos on how to fix almost everything. I just discovered you, through your 80% of the morning shorts. I have been married for almost 40 years. the best advice I give is to compromise on both sides. You are doing a good job, but I do have to add though, that the children could use a little more structure, and when you are filming, maybe give them something to do like art projects, just my 2 cents. I am originally from Wisconsin and have lived in Minnesota too, we left in 1990, and now live in Virginia and love it, we do not miss the snow. Keep up the good work, and remember YT videos, there is something for everything.

Ced, you got, just work with Charlotte on getting the house ready to sell. You are right about choosing your battles, you both want to move to the new house, so you have to work together to get to the end goal. Just like it was when you played football.
Excellent title because to some degree it implies that you do what your wife "asks" in order to avoid an argument. I don't think that's healthy. I don't think it's possible to argue about everything. Since she's a planner she may have a better idea of getting things done timely, but is it orderly? Does she consider your schedule and others involved in the plan? Can she accomplish some or most of the tasks because your schedule or others may not permit the plan she's assembled. Putting together a plan is the easy part, but "doing" the plan is the difficult part. I hope that you're working together in the doing of the plan. With three small children and a dog, you have a lot of competing forces. That has to greatly considered in just making a plan. Similar to your wife, everyone deserves a brain and body break-we're all human. I'm finally getting that break after 32 years of marriage. I found out I'm not a robot.

Ced, you got, just work with Charlotte on getting the house ready to sell. You are right about choosing your battles, you both want to move to the new house, so you have to work together to get to the end goal. Just like it was when you played football.
Excellent title because to some degree it implies that you do what your wife "asks" in order to avoid an argument. I don't think that's healthy. I don't think it's possible to argue about everything. Since she's a planner she may have a better idea of getting things done timely, but is it orderly? Does she consider your schedule and others involved in the plan? Can she accomplish some or most of the tasks because your schedule or others may not permit the plan she's assembled. Putting together a plan is the easy part, but "doing" the plan is the difficult part. I hope that you're working together in the doing of the plan. With three small children and a dog, you have a lot of competing forces. That has to greatly considered in just making a plan. Similar to your wife, everyone deserves a brain and body break-we're all human. I'm finally getting that break after 32 years of marriage. I found out I'm not a robot.
