- In order to be your best, you have to take care of yourself so you can take care of those around you. I’ve always understood this, and I want my wife to implement it as well.
It took time for us to make this a consistent thing every week, but we found out how to prioritize it. Now that it’s a part of our weekly routine, we can see how this helps her wear all the hats she is wearing and show up in those roles how she would like to every week.

My husband was like this with our granddaughters. We had them during the week because the school where we lived was better for the girls. They went home on the weekends. I'm 60 now and the oldest is in college the other is a freshman in high school. I miss the days that u are having. Please enjoy them to the fullest. U two are wonderful parents. When they grow up they will look back and talk about these loveable days.

For sure this is important for both parents in any relationship. It is equally important to make time for your relationship. Spend time with each other and with each child individually and time together as a family. Bless your family with many beautiful memories!

Its always encouraging to see the husband and wife learn to give each other the time and space needed for a healthy and thriving relationship. I can imagine its not easy, but videos like this keep the ones who want this type of relationship, hope that it's still out there.

Beautiful family, I remember needing and taking a break from mommy duties when our 3 daughters were younger.
We now have 5 beautiful daughters,ages 32,30,28,19,19!

It’s beautiful that your wife is still nursing baby girl! It’s definitely a little guilt when you leave, but I just see it as it’s a 2 parent love story. It’s a loving thing when the dad or mom gives one another a break. As a wife I definitely wouldn’t do anything out there, that a single person would do.

Ced unfortunately I believe its been ingrained into the female to be the care talker of the kids, more or less its her job and has been frowned upon if she doesn't. When my mother was raising us (without a father) she rarely let us out of her sight and trust me looking back I realize how wrong that was a was not good for her. Years later when raising my daughters I was the same way except I had to work a job working 14-16 hours day. Rarely went out without them and when I did I felt guilty. No dad in the picture in my situation either. I was alone. But they were loved and cared for. Don't reget that at all.

Great video , as a first time mom I too feel guilt for even wanting alone time . But I can see how that is important to establish with my partner so that I can be a better mom and partner .
