This is one amazing black man! One who doesn’t have it all figured out as of yet but searching and continuously striving to be a better man for himself and the ones around him. This is the type of black man that black women need in their lives. Whether it be their daddy or and their mate. But we need men like this!
It is so great to see a man really doing what he can to be a good man for himself and his family. People don’t hold themselves accountable enough. I’m no exception. Everything is just so hard, its uplifting to see someone putting in the work
I am so excited about doing the same thing. Its something about when God is calling you to be Greater and Do Greater things beyond what u imagine. I can't explain it but I feel the same way. I get my CDL in a fews and I'm going to give up alot of my things and live on the road. Pray my strength in the Lord.🙏🏽🙌🏾❤️
Ced, this a great way to release all that we hold inside rather than let it fester inside. i have been journalling since i was 25. i am now 50 and through all that time i came to realise that my deepest depressions where due to systemic parasites - because journalling allowed to record and go through all possible causes and scenarios without giving up on myself. I am now a very healthy version of myself, but need to keep going as a man to achieve other things. I feel younger now and look it too since i used plants to get well. i lost journals from some years since I use a computer to journal. But, its ok, I have healed. I doubt that i want to go back and see the detailed dark days of the 25-40 year old me. Prioritize your physical health(workouts, walks, weight lifting, eating well, sleep,) social interactions, and pursue your purpose as a man. There are plants that help with mental health too by the way - check out some mushrooms like shiitake, reishi, lions mane and a group of plants called adaptogens( there are about 10 to 15 to them). Make these a part of your diet in one way or another. They are very, very good for the brain, inflammation, mental health and keeping your hormones balanced, especially as you grow older. Also, include nutrient dense plants into your diet like moringa and pine pollen.
So proud of you!! That’s cool y’all have something like this. I’ve been taking a social media break for almost 3 weeks now to focus on God, myself & my family. Been feeling the Holy Spirit very strong!
Thank you for sharing your honesty and courage. I am on a similar journey. Regardless of gender, race or age, some of us need time alone to search our soul and find ourselves or die.
As a fellow lone wolf, I have found ways to dig deep, decompress, process and really think my thoughts through. Truly a blessing to have an understanding spouse that the time is needed. I go for two hour walks, listen to the Bible, podcasts, chill music and just listen. Also other times throughout the day of just being to myself helps.
I don't know if you realize it Ced, but you are a gifted storyteller. I love that it includes your wife and kids. It's beautiful to witness growth, maturity, joy, and love. God bless and favor your family always!
I was just on the newest video posted and decided to look on your page and find it surprising I missed this video! Starting here then going back, happy to see a new upload !
I use to keep a journal many years ago when I was going through some dark lonely places. I need to get back to doing that. It really does help. It helps to write out how your feelings and thoughts even when your angry, sad or happy. You can go a few or many days later and use that as a self help program for yourself. Write out goals and ways to better yourself and attitude for life. I'm going to recommend this to my granddaughters especially my youngest. She was born addicted to drugs as was three other of my grandkids. She is so different than any child I've seen. Life has not been kind nor easy for her nor the other four. She doesn't deal as well as the other four. She's carries alot of anger and pain and it sometimes comes out in a angry meltdown. She's been in several foster homes and nobody can handle her bcz of this. She wants to come live with me is what most of her problem is but they somehow convinced the judge that I'm not able bodied enough which really is a lie but it's what they say that matters in court. But I believe this will help her alot. I hope so. Plz keep her in your prayers as well as the other four. Four we're born addicted and one was not but like the youngest child he is angry too...Tyfs Ced...God bless you❤️
I'm sorry to hear about your grandchildren all born with addiction & it make a sad to hear this & what they are all going through living in foster home the pain & suffering that their parents has done to them I'm sorry that it's seem like your carrying the load of pain for your grandchildren I hope that they will get the help that they all need & may God give you peace & the strength to care for your precious grandchildren God bless you all & I will keep you all in my prayer 🙏
I loved this video. So many beautiful revelations and vulnerable moments. Your ability to capture content so seamlessly is refreshing. It would be so cool to see you create a movie.
Good job Ced, I’m glad you do things like this for yourself. ❤I’m proud of anyone who admit to the challenges they have. I myself have felt better since then. Admitting those challenges and taking action help ppl become a better person.
So happy that you take time out to take care of your mental health..that's why your a Great Dad and Husband. I pray this video will encourage others to do the same❤
@coldsmoke3213 It’s not that it’s that typically us black men don’t come from a home structure that sets up to be able to understand ourselves well enough to reflect and learn what would make us better people for ourselves and family.
Ced!!!! Missed your videos!! So so so thankful you have this time of separation & growth! That's incredibly inspiring & I'm sure so very essential to not only your personal life but your family life! You are such a powerful example!
If people would do this and get to the root we would have healthier people in the world. This is so good! Thanks for sharing ❤ God. Family. Relationships! So good 😊
This is beautiful brother!!! THANK YOU for sharing. You are so brave! God made us all so so different and there's nothing wrong with having a hiatus with the Lord!
Thanks for sharing this. I am going to pull out my old journals next month and tuck away in a space to reflect. Your new baby looks just like momma. Your authentic sharing is essential for the black family!
Great video Ced! Thanks for this video of showing us what you do to get better with your family life and yourself. We all need to spend some time apart from our families to better ourselves personally. I work 12 hours 3-4 days a week so I spend that time to think of ways I can be better for my family. My wife does go with our oldest daughter and I sometimes don’t see her for a week or 2 every year that helps us as a family. I need to start writing more on things to improve my family time than on things I want to get the family that cost money. Congratulations Brother on your success!! I started following you when your wife was crying on the thumbnail on you getting cut from the Vikings. You have greatness musical choices, I remember your trips with Charlotte to Hawaii, being pregnant with your first child that you had to get another camera from Best Buy to picture her. The song you played someone in the comments said who it was……Madison Ryann Ward: Higher.
So happy to see a video from you 😊 that place is so cool, a great thing to do for your mental health, time away, peace and a reset. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love you Ced ❤
Thank you for sharing your journey. I am a big proponent of writing for self-awareness. Such an inspiration for healthy living to heal. Best wishes for you on your path!
Great going for you Ced. I celebrate with you. Thanks to an understanding wife as well, you will become the man that God intended for you to be!! Much love.💐🌸
Hello, Ced it good to see you sometime we all need that time to check in with ourselve to make sure are mental health is taking care of & that all is well . Ced you looking good 👍 blessing to you & your beautiful family. Stay safe and healthy California love❤💛🙏
I used to watch you a lot a couple years ago. My wife even started to watch when you guys had your first baby but we stopped and now I remember why. Watching this video was frustrating, I wish I could pick up and leave my pregnant wife and 2 babies for a lil "me time". Lol life is hard but God is good, life is a gift and men sacrifice whatever it takes for there families. I had a dad around growing up but he wasn't there for me the way I wanted. But he did teach me how to be tough and the importance of family. I've noticed my friends without fathers seem to be softer and hurt. Maybe it's something I don't get but if I could offer you any advice, it would be to toughen up. Show the beautiful girls what a man is supposed to be. Not one who runs out on them when things get hard because they need a break. What kind of example is that. I won't be watching anymore but will pray for you and your family tonight. Good luck Ced! Toughen up! With love 🙏
What do you think he’s trying to do? You have no idea what is like to grow up without a role model. No one to teach you how to regulate your emotions, no one to teach you that you can’t take care of other’s unless you take case of yourself too. He’s a stay at home dad. Any stay at home parents needs a break, especially if you grew up in unfavorable conditions
I also want to point out that you admitted your father wasn’t there the way you had hoped he was. Maybe he should have done some soul searching so that he could be the father you wanted…that is what ced is trying to accomplish
Broo hope all is well we need more content. I'm a og fan bam with the hand written card to prove it lol. Watching your videos really motivated me to be a better husband and father and they always had a cool vibe about them.
It's so refreshing to watch a man express his emotions/explain what he does to take of his mental health. Thank you, Ced for allowing us in because you definitely didn't have to. I wanted to ask: how would you recommend alone time to people who can't afford to take a trip like you could? I think so many people would benefit from it but can't do it financially. God bless.
Amazing brotha.... for 1st. recognizing the problem and 2nd for doing the HARD work to become the BEST version of yourself to achieve the purpose you were place on earth in this realm. It is sad to say....but 99% of the Men in our community alone will never hold themselves accountable to heal thier own trama, etc. to EVER get to this level. I am TRULY proud of you. May The Most High God continue to strengthen you to be able to remain consistent for yourself and those he has place in your life.
So Cool!! 😎 it’s so very important to spend quality time by yourself .. everybody needs alone time in order to heal, love & empower oneself and rejuvenate!!💙🙌 Good for you!!🤘
Thank you for sharing sir. I also have blow ups and I agree that when we do the work to trying to understand ourselves better is when these blow ups get lesser and lesser.
It's crazy how literally NOTHING is kept private anymore. I get that sharing your issues can help the next person, but EVERY little detail? Some things should be worked out with just you and Jesus. He has the answers. And strangers dont need to see you getting up in the morning stretching, going to bed... brushing your teeth...next it will be u in the bathroom washing up lol . TMI 😊
Part of serving Christ and being a Christian is to be vulnerable and open. What your saying is a fear-based response. You can't reach people being closed off. Christ himself left his home and went where the people were, including areas where the less fortunate, drunks, and prostitutes were. Vulnerability is key.
@@user-ij5vw2df3z "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." When we share our struggles it helps others who don't have the something like maybe religion in their life It helps them to know they're not alone and it helps to prevent things like suicide. We tend to compare our insides to the face that others present to the public people that share what they're going through they are serving their fellow man they are serving Christ by helping their fellow man. Many of us grow up and dysfunctional families sometimes even religious ones and all the people that show examples of how they got through things they're doing a great service. We are all brothers and sisters, We are all family, So many people need to know they're not alone.
You came across my mind and I realized that I hadn't seen a video from yall in a long time. So since this video (6 months ago), what's happening?!!! Praying all is well with you and your family!! :)
Ced, being a father or husband aren't or shouldn't be "roles", but are states of the mind. For example, if you think like a father, you will naturally act like a father to the best of your ability at that moment, even if the beneficiaries aren't related to you. And as a man, you are way more these states because God designed you to "maintain the garden" ( in other words, making a continuous positive impact in the world at large), and the soul of the woman, to help the man "maintain the garden" (help him make a positive impact in the world). The issue I see here is you have overly self-identified with these family-centered states, and have suppressed much in the self-discovery, and/or actualization of your innermost soul longings and this is causing inner turmoil. No soul of a male, came into this world to mainly become a father, or husband; these are just part of the soul's reality that can add to it's sense of self-actualization, so far it's life longings does not conflict with these realities. For example, a man who's soul longs to be a priest, or more precisely, to ascetically dedicate his life to God, would find little to no sense of self-actualization in being a father or husband or footing the responsibilities that come with these. The base of any man's innermost soul longing is to be accomplished in whatever he in particular, aspires. But when there are perceived roadblocks to this particular soul longing, he becomes disheveled and instinctively starts to look for self-destructive mechanisms to cope, and/or he begins to shrink this longing to that which is perceived achievable, dedicating his focus to this newly adopted aspiration according to the requirements of his environment (this can have a positive or negative impact on his mental health depending on how this new aspiration aligns with his soul longing). From what I see, Ced has unfulfilled soul longings outside his family-hood that he believes is out of his control, and in mental efforts to compensate, he then prioritizes and places his family-hood to the bane of his existence, so his sense of accomplishment, can be within reach and easily felt. But the thing about a successful and happy family is this, it's will always be in eyes of the beholder (within and outside the family). This is why the reality of being a father, or husband should never be seen as "roles", but states of mind which every human is beholden to. As i said, if you think like a father, you will naturally act like a father to the best of your ability at that moment, same with husband, wife, mother etc. As you have admitted, you are so much a perfectionist, and coupled with your childhood disfunctions, you relate with your family-hood like a trip to the grocery isle. Where everything has to be in the right place, order, price or you're most likely not buying it, or in this context, you're most likely not feeling its successful or accomplished. This energy, the excess tendency to self-critique and need for perfection, is natural within you, and it is natural within people born on the 1, 10, 19, 28, etc , basically any date that adds up to 1; there's an in born tendency to strive to be the 1st, or the best at anything they find fulfilling or do from the heart, I myself can relate to this. However, with you, this energy is being channeled into the wrong environment. Because that energy is mostly concerned about the practical roads that leads to this goal, rather than it coming from a more intuitive, seamless approach. You don't want to tick, or check your way into the hearts of your children or wife do you? even inasmuch as you try you can't. because whether or not you are an accomplished father or husband will always be seen, or measured through the eyes of someone else, other than yourself. You are basically placing you self-worth, or sense of accomplishment in another person's hand. and just knowing little about you, i know your heart is always in the right place, but your approach in expressing this heart of yours is blinded by trauma, little from your past but more from your future angsts (sense of lack of control, lack of direction). Ced needs to find the innermost longings of his soul outside his family and bring them into the real world in practice, even if he has to "settle" due to obstacles outside your control, actively "settle" for something practical but still in line with your inner longing. For example, if one souls call one to be a the leader of a nation, a president, if this is out of his control, he must settle as a governor, and not a vice-president, or vice-whatever. if not a governor, a mayor, so on and so fort - so long he is an active leader of a "nation" in some capacity - his soul will still be fulfilled and he will develop a healthy perspective or relation with all other realities within his life - family, friends, etc. Else, I fear Ced will continue to unconsciously relate with his family as a playground or stage where awards of accomplishment are handed out, because he believes within himself this is one of his innermost longings within his control. Right attitude, wrong environment. Pursue and focus on your inner longing outside your family, your active "role" as a father or husband might diminish due to time, but the state of mind of being a father or husband, still won't depart from you. Parenthood, specifically fatherhood, should not be approached as a role, because in this lies much vexation within self, but a state of mind where whatever is in your mind and capacity at the moment, is what you give, whether it be little or much, pampering or discipline, presence or absence, this is how to approach fatherhood without losing yourself or mind. And from a religious angle since you're a man of God, this is how God also relates with his children, humans. He gives whatever he can from his mind before or after they ask, without compromising his own plans for the world at large. whether it be in the short term interest of his children or not, his plan remains because his plan for the world is always at the best, long term interest of said children. This same way, a man's care for his family should be put first, so long it's not in conflict or friction with the inner most longing of accomplishment from his soul in the long run, because regardless of what this longing is, he will always have the best interest of his family at heart. God didn't call you into this world to just become a father, or husband, as a man, your calling is always much more. find and pursue your footholds outside your family with vitality, and everything will fall into place because that is the natural order that governs fatherhood, or being the head of a household. If ced is not feeling accomplished outside his family, this energy subconsciously trickles down to his other realities in life, and coupled with your self-critical and perfectionist nature - directing these energies towards your family is not a wise approach regardless of the insecurities from your upbringing, and you naturally not wanting your children to go through same. because you will invariably fall short regardless of how much conscious effort you put, because as you said, "perfection" doesn't exist. @Kosoriwombe.ig on instagram, if you want to reach out. one love.
I love seeing men be vulnerable and taking care of their mental health. It’s so important.

I’m happy to see a black man understanding what he needs to be better and taking the steps to ensure that 😊
Amen Very true
Good for him☝️🙏
What does being black have to do with anything? Are they somehow less capable of change because of their skin color?
@coldsmoke3213 It’s not that it’s that typically us black men don’t come from a home structure that sets up to be able to understand ourselves well enough to reflect and learn what would make us better people for ourselves and family.
What does your ethnical background have to with anything? Jus curious …

What made you want to do this and what did you get from it that you can take back home
It’s beautiful there
Wonderful xx
Hey Ced, what happened to your faith videos? Those were great!
TMI
😊
Part of serving Christ and being a Christian is to be vulnerable and open. What your saying is a fear-based response. You can't reach people being closed off. Christ himself left his home and went where the people were, including areas where the less fortunate, drunks, and prostitutes were. Vulnerability is key.
Amen, agreed Satan has set up social media so you can tell your business and get paid.😂
Being vulnerable to Christ not the world it has nothing to do with fear.
So why are you here watching. Hypocrisy
@@user-ij5vw2df3z "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
When we share our struggles it helps others who don't have the something like maybe religion in their life It helps them to know they're not alone and it helps to prevent things like suicide.
I'm nervous for you Ced! 🤣
Great video Ced. You making all the right moves in life! 🙏💜

She probably needs the break too.Collaboratively living.
