You forgot to mention the valve cover itself can get corroded and develop holes so changing the gasket isn't gonna stop the leak. You need to replace the valve cover as well
thanks for sharing.this explains why my 96 Corolla is misfiring in cylinder one only.I replace valve cover gasket two years ago as there was a lot of oil in all four cylinders when I bought it and I also changed the spark plugs.when I was tightening up the nuts the one broke next to cylinder one.I didn’t know they were made of Aluminum! any advice how to remove that broken nut out of valve cover? I have to change spark plug now,but I want to make sure everything is tightened properly.
@@dustingross8578 actually I lifted up the hood and looked at it and I have no bolt in one hole and the other bolt isn’t broken like I thought, but it’s not all the way down.
I've installed a new valve cover gasket but somehow still on the timing chain & valve connection of my toyota corolla oil still leaks. Can i open the cover & reuse the same rubber gasket. I just install it about 2 weeks ago. Can i reuse it? Thank you
Man. This is really educational. Thank you.
This exactly what was wrong with my car! And will be getting replaced soon great video 🔥🔥
Save time and money by going OEM (imports). Had to do this job twice not realizing the importance of going manufactures specs!
