I have a bad oil leak in my 06 jeep grand cherokee 3.7 on passenger side. It had overheated 4 weeks ago and been sitting. I replace the radiator and thermostat and starter because it was having problems starting and noticed oil leaking when I tried to start it. There is a knocking sound and had someone read it and got the code p0300 but then I noticed a large crack in my valve cover. Do you think the car is worth replacing

My 99 Cavalier engine code 4, 2.2 inline four-cylinder symptoms are P0300 (random misfire), spark plugs are carboned up, oil in spark plug holes, valve cover leaking oil, after long idle engine dies when stepping on gas. Upon restart lots of smoke comes out of exhaust. Reving engine clears up rough idle for a while then engine starts idling crappy and dies. Could it be a bad fuel pressure regulator or a just a bad valve cover gasket? Or a bad throttle body? Or a bad PCV valve. Car has 172,000 miles. My fear the most is a bad head gasket or cracked aluminum head. No visible loss of coolant observed. I will start out with the PCV valve and then replace the valve cover gasket. I will be checking for a blown diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator. All this work might be for naught if the cylinder head is cracked. Ahhhhh I need the girl from Ipanema to help me fix my Cavalier. Long and slender she can reach in and get to the hard to get places.

The video was called something like oil pudding. Also he is the best mechanic i have ever seen, he is a master at this stuff. He is very good to learn from, his explainations make doing car jobs almost dummy proof. If you check him out tell me what you think, you won't be letdown i guarantee that!
