  • A compilation of some of Ricky William's highlight's at the University of Texas. How good was Ricky Williams as the featured tailback of the Longhorn's? He had a better career than Earl freaking Campbell and broke career records for touchdowns and yards while in Austin. He was pretty freaking good.
The games I used to take the clips from can be found on Stephen Barnett's youtube channel (and there were a few other channels I used as well that you can find if you look around): / sbbarnet. .

Bo Jackson was the fastest player I ever seen run the length of the field.. The Monday Night Game against the Seahawks where he broke the Boz twice then ran a sweep down the sideline for 80 yds. It looks like the video is sped up it is the fastest 80 yd run I ever seen. Can you imagine being on guy playing CB that night seeing a 230lbs man come around the edge ripping up AstroTurf he is running so hard, right at you, what’a you do?
Bo Jackson collision where violent he was to fast for his own good especially weighing 230-240. He was injured a lot when he was playing Football. You can really see it on his last run against Cincinnati where he tears up his hip trying to break a shoelace tackle that caused a half step while running at full speed. His Doctor said that half step had so much downforce it dislocated his hip from the socket then reattached as he was rolling on the ground. This is what damaged veins and blood vessels cutting off blood flow to the hip. Eventually having to get a total hip replacement just so he could walk. Bo’s Doctor also said because he ran with so much power and there was so much force after he broke his foot loose only a few athletes in the world that could generate the pounds downforce pressure to do that kind of damage. So his Doc said if he wasn’t a athletic freak of nature he wouldn’t of got hurt, but then we wouldn’t have been wowed by how natural Bo Jackson did the unbelievable on the Field during his Football & Baseball career’s

I took my dad’s UT hat and ran down to the railing right above Ricky. Me and a bunch of fans screamed out his name probably about 5 times. He finally heard us and autographed our hats with Darrel K Royal. It was definitely a good memory.

Ricky has really short strides when he is running especially for a 220+ power back. Shorter strides causes Ricky to get to full speed in 5 yds where if he had long strides wouldn’t hit top speed as fast but his long speed would increase helping not to get caught from behind on long runs 50yd and up. Personally think a good RB has shorter strides and can stop on a dime and be at full speed with first 5 -7 strides. Most long stride RB need to get some good blocks just to get up to speed also takes longer to stop. Really think long striders fit X,Y receivers and your TightEnds usually positions that prefer players 6’2”🏃🏻‍♂️6’7” tall

11 was when he was a freshman. 34 was his primary number. And he changed it for a game or two to honor his friend, college legend Doak Walker

If he would have had a different agent and representatives. Nothing against Master P and company but he had him sit out of the combine lowered his draft and brought alot of unwanted drama and attention. Imagine if he went higher in the draft instead of 5th to N.O. What if he went to the Browns or Colts his career would have been longer. Running with different schemes. E.James same draft is a hall of famer.
