if floyd bit Marcos in the first fight in retaliation to a dirty tactic, people would crucify him for it. Floyd DID have his glove over Maidana's mouth, but that in NO WAY justifies biting the guy. That's crazy talk. For the record, I'm a fan of both fighters btw. Kenny Bayless should have let them fight more in the clinch, but with that said, Floyd beat Marcos. There is no argument about that. Robert knows this fight wasn't close. Only round I was disappointed in was the 12th. Mayweather boxed in every round except that one. I have to admit he ran in that round. He wanted to play it safe, which is understandable considering he had a big lead in my opinion.

Maidana was a bit hurt at a certain point in the fight. I know people saw that. Floyd just didn't deliver enough at that point to put him down.
only round I say mayweather ran was the 12th round. The rest he did not, he hit and moved. Some just want a fighter to stand in front of their opponent and get hit all day. If someone feels like their opponent is running, cut the ring and bring the fight to him. Guys don't do that, because they don't have the conditioning. So they complain. Now there are several reasons behind the fans wanting to see GGG vs Floyd, one of which is that Floyd is the Super Welterweight, also known as the Junior Middleweight (154 lbs) Champion. And as we all know GGG is the reigning Middleweight (160 lbs) Champion.
Now Floyd started his career at the Lightweight 130 lb division. His natural weight class now is the 147 lb division but his peak is 154 lbs. And he's only fought in the 154 lb division 3 times in his career, 1) Oscar De La Hoya 2) Miguel Cotto 3) Canelo Alvarez. And in those fights he didn't even go all the way up to 154 lbs. I think the highest he was in any of the 3 fights was 152 lbs. Not to mention the fight with Canelo was at a catch weight of 152 lbs.
With all that said, GGG is too big and strong for Floyd to fight at 160 lbs. It's just not a natural weight for Floyd. I think even him going to 154 lbs is pushing the boundaries a little cuz he's a natural Welterweight, but that's the highest he should go. And I doubt GGG is gonna move down to 154 lbs to fight Floyd when he's the man at 160lbs.

I believe they were punches, and I thought he landed heavier punches than in the first fight: Lips were swollen, blood on his right cheek, his nose was swollen too, and Maidana took a tooth from a vicious right. The first fight was questionable, but this one Floyd won. Nevertheless Floyd came out second best in his facial bruises department. Maidana didn't have a mark on him. That shows you the difference in punching power.

***** Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter are possible but they're not ready for Pacquiao. As for GGG, he's a 160 lb fighter which I'm sure rehydrates and gains a few lbs the night of the fight making him closer to 170 ish. That's way too big for someone like Pac who is truly a natural 140 pounder.
Even though Pacquiao has been fighting in the Welterweight 147 lb division for several years now, a majority of those fights were at a catch weight. He never fully reached the weight of 147 lbs exactly. Yet still fought the biggest names in the 140 &147 lbs weight classes and demolished them.
Pacquiao started Boxing at Minimum Weight (108 lbs). He moved up through a shit load of weight classes to accomplish all that he has. 147 lbs is his peak. Going any higher is just forcing something unnatural and definitely something unhealthy for any Fighter/Athlete.
Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach has even mentioned going back down to the Junior Welterweight 140 lb class where they feel Pac would be a lot stronger and comfortable and believe he'll have more knock out power there.
At the end of the day Pacquiao is the 147 lb WBO Welterweight Champion of the world and Mayweather is the WBA & WBC Welterweight Champion. A mega fight must happen to unify three of four major World Championship Titles to see who is truly the UNDISPUTED WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. It would be a historical moment for Boxing. Maybe even one of the greatest fights in the history of Boxing.

Coming from a former fighter and now trainer Floyd was full of it. First do you realize how hard it is to bite through a glove , wraps and tape? Especially with a mouthpiece? Plus no imprints in the glove at all? Floyd wined when he got cut for the first time saying he couldn't see(which is a no no because they will stop it) and just wined about every little thing. You know how many fighter fought with broken hands, jaws and deep cuts? He is "Pretty boy" for a reason.

Smart boxers are able to study the opponent and decides which best way to demoralise their fighting style and box them in a way collect points or counter punch them.
