Hi Anuja, like so many here I applaud you for the excellent and consumable way you present and explain the concepts of Indian classical music. As a European I'm new to these concepts, but I'm learning them as a preparation for a bansuri course. I started exploring the internet some days ago and found some bits of theory here and there. These range from simplistic to very academic. Your videos are quite exceptional since they succeed brilliantly in going the middle way. a very good base to start from. I watched all of them in one go! If you are a teacher in real life, your students should be blessed!
Moreover you have a very flexible and beautiful voice. In combination with the great set of ears you have, you surely would be a great jazz singer too.
When I learned basic Hindustani Classical Music,I struggled a lot. These days we should and must appreciate to these young artist ,spreading Hindustani Music without fees or money. Really great.👌👌👌👍👍👍

Anuja Kamat is a wonderful girl. She is blissful , beautiful and vocal singer with very good knowledge of Hindustani Sangeeth. She will be best teacher in India. I am blessed to find her in you tube.

Anuja and Unmesha.... Hats off to you. I heard many Hindi film songs, music of which were composed by the Great Musicians like for example R D Burmanji. I have also heard that RDji was a great Tabla player and was disciple of Tabla Legend Pandit Shri Samta Prasadji. He was a great percussionist, no doubt he used his knowledge in playing percussion based on many popular Taalas with different forms without modifying any frame of those Taalas but by adding more beauties to them. All other great musicians like him were percussionists first and then musicians. This episode of yours simply explains it how. Thanks once again

Anuja, a fanastic introduction for the people initiating themselves into INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC !!! You deserve heartiest accolades !!! Some suggestions: the Episode 6 needs further elaboration, its too short and abrupt. You could extend it by making additional sub-episodes....with greater explanations, because this episode deals with the heart and soul of Indian classical music; secondly please pick up some important popular ragaas and add 2 or 3 episodes for the learners to understand how to appreciate them; and thirdly an episode or two to dwell on distinction between drupad, khayal, thumri, dadra,, and tapp etc and also about their historical evolution. Thanks a lot for a wonderful exposition to Indian classical music !!!e

What an attitude you have, Anuja !!. So open and greedy to assimilate knowledge and apply it ! Normally people who are entrenched in a particular format of singing, are so judgemental and biased about all other formats. But your greed has helped you keep your mind so alert and receptive to the richness of film music, the deep theory of Carnatic music along with the absolute beauty of the swara designing and voice training of Hindustani format. You are a complete musician. Hope more minds are touched by you, guruji.
