Nothing like starting a Tuesday morning listening to Dr.Grande! Heartbreaking, It really hit different upon hearing about the note that was written. All her mother wanted was more connection and the best for her daughter. Only to be murdered as reciprocation.
This case highlights the thin line some people walk, particularly when in their teens and twenties, between rebellious behavior and serious crime. I wonder how many of us actually were at one time or another just this side of homicide. If anyone still wonders why all the youthful murderers today, consider this, and then add the influence of violent, escapist movies and video and the utter inability of parents, or society for that matter, to limit the violation of youthful accessibility. The reality is that a young woman wishing her mother dead is far from a rare thing.
I wouldn't defend either privileged and socially irresponsible party in that shabby lawsuit. From my viewpoint, it is good business to be bad news in Hollywood and Depp's sudden resurgence seems to back that up. Because of innumerable reasons, America has a steeply sloped income curve and social justice just isn't the first cause of our economic system: that said there are so many angry people left out that a new culture of piraña mass at the bottom and eat the unsavory for breakfast each day. It's an industry in its own right and at least it reduces modern violence in a minor way.
There is a serious lack of healthy parenting taking place in first world countries. Children are very fragile & need a lot of gentle care and guidance & there are toxic & selfish & mentally unwell people everywhere you look. No girl wants her mother dead for any reason other than some type of abuse or neglect that has taken place prior to the final issue that causes the murderous ideas. No chance that girl felt loved & understood by her mother.
@@lostandfound5145 Lost and Found, I certainly won't disagree with your statement. You are stating the conditions that exist in household after household, even my own when I was a child. I grew up in Australia, born in 1960, into a very middle class family, went to a middle class high school and my friends were all the same. As a teenager, I was extremely rebellious, my poor mum was on Valium at one stage as she thought that I was uncontrollable. But even during those times when ai was revolting, the thought of ever laying a hand on my mum just never occurred to me. I did call her a cow once on the phone, but only after I thought she had hung up, but she hadn’t. My mum always thought that I would end up in prison, a bit melodramatic considering I never did drugs or was involved in crime. I actually ended up working for the Police for 15 years. My mum is now 85, and I now of course feel terrible for the way that I behaved towards her back then, and am so glad that she is still here, being a great mum. I will never understand anyone wanting to hurt their parent/s. Impossible to comprehend.

Very good analysis. So sad this happened. No value for human life. I remember this case. The guys did not know how to kill. And she was tortured. I wonder how the dad and brother are coping. This is a huge betrayal to the family
The idea of conspiracy shows how disturbing cases like this are. It never surprises me the level of depravity humans are willing to go in the criminal world. Sad. 🤔❤🇺🇸
Meanwhile, it always surprises me the level of human depravity I hear from REAL crime cases. They are worse than any fictional horror story. I cannot believe human beings treat other people, especially children, in the horrific way they do. I feel such anger for people who torture others, and it makes me feel extremely sad.
I never knew Dr.grande has a truck. We get so much detail on cases but only snippets of the doctors life. Maybe the ads could feature tiny things about him to keep viewers engaged throughout the ads. Like his favourite foods or things like that. Related to the ads. He’s such a wiz at weaving in details. That is my wish
Wow, the fact she wrote her daughter a letter wanting to be closer to her, is heartbreaking. Me and my mum had rows, but I think that's the teenage condition, isn't it? I wonder if she suspected had sent the man who was now killing her? So so sad
My daughter used to get migraines. I did research, and found a medical report on 6 things that can trigger a migraine. Eating chocolate; eating too much cheese; not drinking enough water; not getting out and walking and getting fresh air; too much close up work on a computer or TV. Sorry, forgot what the 6th one was.
@@singmysong1167 Thanks! I have learned a lot along the years regarding the causes of migraines and I have changed my lifestyle a great deal. My biggest issue is that I live in the Ohio River valley. I’m looking forward to retiring to a dry climate. 🌺
Stories like these are the reason I’m single for life, no kids, and loving it. Since when does teenage rebellion include killing a parent? Seems pretty common these days and I can’t believe it. It’s horrific.
Yes, I am a parent who survived my kids teenage years without being killed in retaliation and regret! I am so sorry for today's parents...it does seem like an escalation in these types of crimes against the very people who brought them into this world! Crazy and shocking!
I think it's just cuz we tend to hear about it more often, so it seems like it happens a lot. Parricide makes up 1-2% of murders, 200-300 a year. Which is still messed up, but not all that surprising when you think about it. You're much more likely to get killed by someone you know, especially if they're living in the same household, than a stranger. I'm with you though, no kids for me. I even have 3 cats now to really lean into the stereotype.
When I was a young child my mum had a house friend, a very nice old lady, from a wealthy family. She once told my mum that she was better off in concentration camp Jasenovac when she was a child than the things she endured from her grown children. Jasenovac was even worse than Auschwitz. It was formed by Croats who worked for the Nazis and milions of Serbs, Jewish and Gypsies were torchured and killed there, they even had a concentration camp for children. Imagine than the horrors of concentration camp and that being better than your own children.
Ps..Thank you Dr. Grande for another interesting, informative, and witty video! The melancholy always starts to grow once I have watched all of your videos. So I was extremely happy to see this one. You are most certainly the hardest working CZcamsr! I'm always excited about your podcast, thank you for more your awesome videos, sincerely 😊
Some of the things the mother said as they were bumbling her murder were so pitifully sad. She was forced to consume alcohol beforehand and it was really sickening. I really hope Rochelle suffers.
Cases like this make me so sad. There are great moms like this one who love their children dearly and would do anything for them and then there are others like my own mom who I would have done anything for, who told me she regrets ever giving birth to me.
Many people who become parents are not mature enough to care for their children. It is so unhealthy for a child to grow up in that environment. And the only thing we can do is to be better parents to our own babies
That's so sad about the mother reaching out, writing a note, etc.. One can only hope the murderers didn't tell the mother that they were doing this on her daughter's behalf. but I'm sure they did. That poor mother.
TO THE CREATOR: Dr. Grande, I dig your show, and you have a soothing voice, but I think in the beginning you got the images of the gentlemen in the story confused. The blonde dude (pictured with goatee in your video) was the boyfriend and the dirty blonde dude was the friend (pictured in orange jumpsuit).
Dr. Grande: I'm guessing there's not a lot to do in Craig, AK LOL Doc, that is an understatement. Social life seems to revolve around either the Bars or Church. The weather is dismal. However you would be hard pressed to find a more caring group of people anywhere on earth, where not picking up a hitchhiker or someone just walking on the side of the road could easily result in death (from weather.) "Interesting" side note: the tiny village of Craig is the site of the infamous 1982 F/V Investor murders of the Coulthurst family and their crew
Doc, those eyebrows! You could tell the story with the volume off, and we could still manage to find where YOU find the story bizarre/perplexing or just plain silly:) Edit: I DO remember this! And I recall the idea of this unattractive partner. What I don't understand, is how she could go through with the er, act. If she wasn't serious, she wouldn't have consummated the relationship. Or, IDK, maybe she felt this was a good trade off. Or, maybe it was NEVER consummated. TY for this informative analysis;)
Very interesting. Amazing how teenage talk can turn into murder of a Mom. First off Rachel's parents never should have allowed her to have adult male friends. Yes, Rachel was rebelling, and her parents needed to give her just enough rope to let Rachel believe she had more freedom than she did. I know my parents did that with me. If this method had been useful Rachel's Mom might still be alive.
Happy she got it cheap. A psychopath has feelings only for him/herself. The fact that she was under 18 and a diagnosis of psychopathy cannot be established, doesn't mean that girls like her are not full blown psychopats when they reach 18.

"Inconceivable " Dr. Grande you slay. 😆 🤣
The ad has Dr. Grande standing in his vast wardrobe closet! He's in front of his shirt rack! He even has a Halloween one with jack o' lanterns on it! Doctor Grande, therapist to the nation's consciousness and fashion icon!
Come to Craig, Alaska! The boredom here is deadly.
Very good analysis. So sad this happened. No value for human life. I remember this case. The guys did not know how to kill. And she was tortured. I wonder how the dad and brother are coping. This is a huge betrayal to the family
Dr. Todd Grande, the Agadmator of mental health & personality analysis.
I remember hearing about this on LiveJournal back in the day. Thanks for the analysis and research, Dr. Grande.
haha ooooh man livejournal, I totally forgot about that whole mess =)
It’s just amazing to me every time I hear about a teenager outsmarting adult men! Who the heck is raising these people?
The “men” were incels.
@@commonsense2680 agreed🤔❤🇺🇸
I never knew Dr.grande has a truck. We get so much detail on cases but only snippets of the doctors life. Maybe the ads could feature tiny things about him to keep viewers engaged throughout the ads. Like his favourite foods or things like that. Related to the ads. He’s such a wiz at weaving in details. That is my wish
Thank you, Dr. Grande! Happy Tuesday💪
An unexpected delight this early!
Thanks, Doc!
Great morning Dr. Granda.
Wow, the fact she wrote her daughter a letter wanting to be closer to her, is heartbreaking. Me and my mum had rows, but I think that's the teenage condition, isn't it?
I wonder if she suspected had sent the man who was now killing her?
So so sad
Dr. Grande, good morning!❤️
I love your channel. I even listen when I have a migraine; I just muffle the sound under my pillow.
That's some crazy dedication right there
Hope you are feeling better. ✨🙏✨
@@dennisossianderrmplmtcst2053 Awww. Thank you, Sweetness. 🌸
Very smooth with the princess bride reference 👌
the alibi was inconceivable!
You drive a truck? Wow who knew.
Always interesting.
Thank you.
Peace 💕🇺🇲
Video comes just in time to pair perfectly with my morning cup of coffee 😄
@@jelena7440 she's lucky her kids didn't kill her hoping for a big inheritance pay out. Can never underestimate greed!
Love your quiet way of speaking!
Thank you, Dr Grande!
Hello Dr G - Happy Tuesday 😊
OMG, my daughter is 16 and is a bit distant from me. Thank God she stays at her mom's place.
Inconceivable! Love it. ❤😂
🥺
I'm sorry...how awful....
I am so sorry you had to hear that from your mother! You are loved.
Many people who become parents are not mature enough to care for their children. It is so unhealthy for a child to grow up in that environment. And the only thing we can do is to be better parents to our own babies
Inconceivable!
Inconceivable... beautifully placed
Wow criminal mastermind, did all that and then didn't do a simple thing like both say the same alibi!!!
She got off very lightly.
That's so sad about the mother reaching out, writing a note, etc.. One can only hope the murderers didn't tell the mother that they were doing this on her daughter's behalf. but I'm sure they did. That poor mother.
Thanks for having the ad at the start and not right in the middle where ot destroys the flow of the video.
Inconceivable…. Ha!!!! Very good!!! I know exactly what you meant by this. Thank you, I really needed a laugh.
Another great comment my friend. Hope you and your mum are going okay. Love and lots of hugs from all of us 😜😘❤💙💙💙✉☕🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Good Afternoon,Dr. Grande.
So sad.Poor mother.
Hey now, the princess bride is actually a fantastic movie and definitely on the top 10 list of my favorite all-time movies. Lol. Inconceivable!
Another stupid murder by stupid murderers
Dr. Grande, just to point out something. When you show the first picture of Jason, that is actually Brian.
Dr. Grande: I'm guessing there's not a lot to do in Craig, AK
LOL Doc, that is an understatement. Social life seems to revolve around either the Bars or Church. The weather is dismal. However you would be hard pressed to find a more caring group of people anywhere on earth, where not picking up a hitchhiker or someone just walking on the side of the road could easily result in death (from weather.)
"Interesting" side note: the tiny village of Craig is the site of the infamous 1982 F/V Investor murders of the Coulthurst family and their crew
I loved the peek inside Dr. Grande’s closet during the Upside promo! 😂
Doc, those eyebrows! You could tell the story with the volume off, and we could still manage to find where YOU find the story bizarre/perplexing or just plain silly:)
Edit: I DO remember this!
Inconceivable that she was not involved or maybe even the mastermind
Very interesting. Amazing how teenage talk can turn into murder of a Mom.
First off Rachel's parents never should have allowed her to have adult male friends. Yes, Rachel was rebelling, and her parents needed to give her just enough rope to let Rachel believe she had more freedom than she did. I know my parents did that with me. If this method had been useful Rachel's Mom might still be alive.
How do you do that? What do you say to the teenager?
It is nothing you can do. The nowadays teenagers have lots of techonology on their hands to have a relationship and the parents know nothing.
Oh jeez...the kid is a psychopath.
Such a sad story. I wonder how she feels today?
Happy she got it cheap. A psychopath has feelings only for him/herself. The fact that she was under 18 and a diagnosis of psychopathy cannot be established, doesn't mean that girls like her are not full blown psychopats when they reach 18.
INCONCEIVABLE!!! 👸👰♀️
Good morning🌄🌌♾️🧿🙏🏼..wow!!..in the morning or evening..I guess, I like listening you too getting ready to go to work...As I have been saying the last couple years I guess, you should get a Audiobook deals..love your soothing voice...😊🙌🏼
Surprisingly enough, Minivan of Death is also the name of Dr. Grande's thrash- metal band.
😂 always learning new words from the Doc. Skinflakes. I can’t unhear this one
Please more videos. Lots more
My name is Rachelle. Dr. Grande is saying my name!
@01:14 Meg dating Quagmire comes to mind.
There are sick people in our World
Even with Rachelle’s -weak- conviction, Justice wasn’t served!
Please do a video on Richard Chase
I like this vid. Good insight and Great analysis.
Thanks
Our little darling is the light of our life.
Yes Dr Grande, the alibi about watching The Princess Bride was "inconceivable". It's an absolute shame that this heinous crime ended Rachelle's parents "maaiwage".
If you don't get it, watch the movie!
Inconceivable alibi. Nice.
Inconceivable!!! Anybody want a peanut? 🥜 Get it? From Princess Bride! I can quote the entire movie. 😂
Slipped in a Princess Bride reference like pro 👏 👏 👏 #inconceivable
Can you please cover the death of Amanda Rabb while in the care of Lima Jevremovic?
I cannot believe she only served 3 years! That’s repulsive!
Yikes!
