I got hooked on your show and then got my now-teen nephew, JaZaraion, hooked too! Thank you for the show, Paul, you got me to finally go back to that early spark of interest in geography and I've now learned every country name/location in the world, and I am *close* on all the capitals; but even more thank you for opening up the world to my beloved nephew. i am thai living in thailand, i kinda understand those women in the episode because talking about these illegal stuffs can literally get you to jails despite how many evidences you have. in fact, even the representative who brought up the human trafficking and more in the parliament is also targeted and charged with various allegations from the government. They were protecting from being targeted in case where that video was a massive boom in thailand.
I thought the jail stuff happen only if u mention bad stuff about royalty ?
yea im thai and i have thought about this issue too. I do understand the girls that maybe they might feel uncomfortable to reveal bad side of our country however i think they have a great opportunity to present it in a softer way or as a Thai's point of view

Still it's not an excuse to sugar coat the country, we are not here to learn only good side of the story. If they weren't comfortable with the topic that should be addressed they shouldn't have aggreed to be on the episode.

Actually Thailand has another coat of arm before they used Garuda as their coat of arm. This coat of arm was used shortly during the reign of king Rama V but it get replaced by the current Garuda coat of arm instead because it was deemed ‘’too western”.
It was also on Digimon the first season

Exact same thing as me. I discovered this channel before the Syria episode coincidentally I am Syrian. I love his videos but when seeing the dates of his old vids. The gap between 2 episodes is a week but now ….
I agree! I thought the episodes were better when they were shorter and more condensed. You got more out of them in some way, and as you also pointed out, the wait time between episodes were also much much shorter in the old days.

Amtrak is amazing for transportation on the East coast. I have ridden the train from NYC to Philadelphia more times than I can count, and it's super convenient to get anywhere between DC and Boston. For the USA episode I think you should take the train from LA to NYC. Just get a room with a bed and it's fairly comfy.

I always note that American ship launching ceremony decorates the ship (especially battle ship) with cloth resembling the Thai flags in colors order.

In New York City, yes. In fact, in the average, large, New England city, I would say that cars are generally more trouble than they're worth.
As far west as _Denver,_ yes. It's kind of _tricky_ around here, but you can manage.
In LA or San Francisco, I wouldn't try it.
Really, though, I think it depends on the length of the commute, and you can look that up online. The shorter the commute in a given city, the easier it is to make due there without a car.

Barbs needs to take a cross country train trip. Hop on an east bound Southwest Chief from LA to Chicago through the desert SW and the Rockies, then a westbound Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle through the northern great plains and the Montana Rockies, then head home south along the coast on the Coast Starlight. It'll take you a week, but it's a great way to see the country. What rail fan do we have Barbs team up with for the trip?

Human traffic that has end point in Thailand is a lot less nowadays, (maybe exist but idk how they do now) but from Thailand to other country seem to be happen sometimes.

I started seeing a product popping up in South Western Pennsylvania several years ago called the "Freedom Towel". It's attempting to play off of the popularity of the gold "Terrible Towel" that fans wave around at Pittsburgh Steelers football games to support the team but intended to be waved at veterans to thank them for their service. A couple star spangled guys at my old fire station who had them in their lockers and cars were not too happy when I told them that the Freedom Towel is pretty much the flag of Thailand.
The only one thing that I really like about Thailand is my hometown, Bangkok.
The “Real” longest name ever, A lots of landmarks here... and a nice weather during winter season. (Thailand doesn’t have snow, Just a nice cool weather)
and a Thai cat. (I mean every Thai cats!) Because they are so cute to look at...

Garuda is a carrier of God Vishu who has avatar as King Ram which Thai kings themselves arein the same status as. Thus the name of Thai King (especially Chakri Dynasty ) came from.
The official seal of Thai Govenment is also a Garuda. It's presented on every official document with government authority.

You should consider that 50 Iraqi Dinnar (IQD) note a vintage thing from the past :D
As currently there are no notes under 250 IQD in the market. So basically it is out of the market.
P.S. Gasoline prices start with 650 IQD per liter
so it is like the 1 and 2 cent in europe. They dont use it any more
@@melvingamer Well, Yes. Inflation has made things worse after the 2003 war. It was briefly used for 2 or 3 years as I remember, but basics prices continued to rise and by 2008 I don't remember seeing any in the market. Cheapest bus ticket costed 500 IQD, so using 50s was impractical
