    The great thing about the inclusion of the intern is that Sandy keeps the information a bit more general, with less acronyms and more inclusive to a wider audience. I'm not complaining about the deeper dive videos and they usually explain the acronyms and trade talk, but this was very easy to understand because most of us are on a closer technical level to an intern than to an automotive engineer. Sandy can communicate on both levels. Well done.

Almost made it seem like Ford's internal male engineers didn't want to lead a program like this ev on an ice platform effort by fomoco. Even more interesting was hearing Linda Zhang the chief engineer say they started this program officially in Sep 2018. Which is prior to farleys ceo tenure despite the media crediting him with it's successes. 🤔

    • @saff226
      @saff226 Před rokem

      Are you thinking of the AC charger not the inverter? The inverter takes DC power from the batteries and converts it to ac for the motor. It may be the inverter that runs the onboard AC outlets which might be why it's so big. The charger is a rectifier that converts AC to DC to charge the battery. The bi direction is just closing the battery contactor and supplying DC power to the charge port where the external wall box can connect it to a external battery and inverter system similar to a Powerwall.
