8:00 I have seen sooo many videos about this 11'8" bridge, and I wondered what the cost would be to raise the railroad trestle. Could they work it out so that the residents don't have to foot the bill? Better yet, and probably the simplest thing to do would be, instead of raising the bridge, LOWER THE ROAD! Now, before you start making snide comments about old women's logic or some other misogynistic remark, think about it. What would it take to go down a couple of feet, repave and, Voila! No more can opener bridge!😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Didnt see ANYONE using their emergency blinkers to notify other drivers that there is a problem... What do you think they are for? ALSO: Used to ride with a guy who used his horn LIBERALLY to get the attention of other drivers. Saved a few with that.
I can’t believe anyone would cut off a semi or brake check without being completely stupid or insane. I remember one day many years ago being stuck in traffic with my mother and I was complaining about the big slow trucks in the way, and being far too young to be driving she simply explained that if it wasn’t for the trucks there wouldn’t be anything in the stores to buy. When I began driving and to this day I have much respect for all of the good truckers. I give space and respect drivers around me. So thanks to all of you who deal with idiots so those same idiots can wipe their butts. 😂
You should see the natives around Atlanta, they believe it is their right to brake check,hinder,cause accidents for big trucks and are all looking for a payday...
that's not a car you buy without a good reason... You either need it to ride dirt roads with the bed full of tools, or you need it because you can't be seen in any smaller car... because of reasons
3:04 Saw this one before. If someone brake checks you, then points a gun at you, you don't stop and let him get out. You ram him and go around. If you are in a semi, just push him off the road.

@@TallCArabians The Peterbilt was doing 74 mph, passing slower traffic, specifically a Werner truck. Tennessee requires trucks on the open road to be at least 300 feet apart (about the length of four trucks). He is starting to move back to the right when the video begins. But he aborts the lane change when the Ram cuts between Werner and the Peterbilt and starts to pass on the right.
@@ranlive1 The video we see was edited by the sheriff and released to the media. It was edited down to a length that would be suitable for TV news, and showed felonies being committed. They sought tips from the public to help them identify the driver of the Ram. There are other sources that provide details not shown here.
Friend of mine had something similar happen. Dude got out with a firearm in hand and he basically ran them over. Sadly they survived but he and his family tried to sue. Once the jury saw the dash cam footage his case was dismissed. Why they chose to go forward with it is beyond me. All evidence is presented in the beginning of the trial so it's not like the footage was just dropped out of nowhere. Not only was his case dismissed but he was ordered to pay all of my friend's lawyer bills AND the police fined him for lying to them. It was kind of funny. I wasn't there for it but my friend said when the court saw the footage his mother leaned over the partition and smacked him upside the head real good. I guess his family had no clue that he had done that.
Exactly. They knew that car was there. They sped up to force their way in and then the other idiot who decided to not let them over . Whole lot of entitlement going on in that clip. Instead of just slowing or at least keeping the same speed….until the SUV passes. They could have avoided alllll of that. 🤦🏽♀️ I’m surprised that accident wasn’t worse than it ended up being.
@Ran_Out_of_Floor 100% right lane passers fault. The left lane decided to be a dick when he saw he was getting passed and sped up. But that doesn't matter as he was in his lane, right lane wanted to merge and should have payed attention and let off to let the dick head by
I am a 69 year old woman and I learned in the 80's to drive a 5&4 Kenworth dump truck and then a White - Freightliner 13 speed road ranger. Little cars REALLY don't know big trucks can't stop!! Keep the shiny side up😊!
These days, you would have to be nuts to not have a dashcam. The idiots are bad enough, but the scammers and ragers make a dashcam almost important as a brake pedal!

It may be someone other than the owner driving the car. Usually police have to witness such an encounter in order to file charges. The black car passing on the right at 54:59 may be involved in this encounter. The window is down and the driver is recording.
@@ranlive1 Video of a person wearing face covering from a distance that lacks enough detail for positive identification. A firearm was shown, but not pointed or discharged. That is a lesser crime the police may choose not to investigate.
@@rdthththare you insane? The Bradley County Sheriff's Office are the one's that released the video asking for help identifying. The road rage act of stopping his vehicle in a lane of traffic is reckless endangerment a Class A Misdemeanor, adding the control of a handgun is a Class E Felony. TN Code 39-13- 103 (2021). Pointing the weapon is Aggravated Assault also a Felony. And probably another 6 misdemeanors for traffic offenses and firearm violations could be charged with what was witnessed in the video. When arrested it won't be a slap on the wrist if he's convicted. I surmise the DA would not let all charges be reduced to misdemeanors and would insist on at least one felony charge stand for prosecution.
I had a coworker/friend who was the nicest, most chill guy ever. Very calm and gentle. When he got behind the wheel though, he turned into a homicidal maniac. He was the aggressor every time; brake-checking, speeding, tailgating, yelling profanities. He gave me a ride around the block in his new car once, and I never got into a car with him again. I don’t know what happened to him when he drove, but he definitely needed some kind of therapy.
Yep my old boss was the way. His wife used to give him grief, but the last time I rode with both of them, he must have rubbed off on her because she was now just as bad. Human nature is a strange thing to figure out 🤷♂️
The 8:05 trucker was a real MVP, he knew the kid have no experience around trucks and just make shure the he was ok. And even conforted him in the end. Congrats man
It blows my mind how many people think the road belongs to them. We SHARE the road. So many accidents could be avoided if people we just more courteous. We all have somewhere important to get to otherwise we would have stayed home. I watch videos like this to hopefully make me a better driver.

In Alan's defense, at the speed differences they were going before the camera lost vision of the car on the left, Alan's vehicle should've been able to clear it "safely." *However,* the suv sped up, probably a bit of their own road rage, and tried to get back in front of Alan. *That said,* I do agree that Alan was at fault here. Like y'all said, he could've slid behind the suv instead of trying to get in front.

I saw this accident on another channel (I can't remember which one) and it was a clip from the person behind the cammer. The other SUV was passing, then this cammer decided to gun it and forced the other driver onto the shoulder.
“My 80,000 pound truck takes more time to stop”. Then you should be leaving more space in front of you, dummy. And, car drivers...don't cut in front of these heavy trucks...you will lose!

I have 3 million safe km's driving transports from 53 foot vans to 120 foot long combination vehicles and 140000 lbs tankers .. I've seen hundreds of deaths on the roadways, and 90 % are speed and inattention. I taught defensive driving and about 30 % of these truckers need training for just that ....Just because you are right doesn't mean you shouldn't avoid .. Backing off gas and Avoiding will litterally save your life . Many of the accidents where "you run out of road" .. Back off . Most of these accidents are absolutely lack of proper training which i had 100's of hours in my career... 😢 I made it 3 million km's because i and other were looking out for each other.. 29:38 Cammer is just as responsible (more so in my opinion) than the car that they collided with. Sometimes it is better to just slow down and wait the few extra seconds.
What the cammer did was reckless, especially driving over 100 mph. However, the SUV driver decided to have a "hold my beer" moment and do something even more reckless and dangerous by driving faster than the cammer and passing on the shoulder. Both should've received tickets for reckless driving. But the video is evidence of who's responsible for the accident.

This is what happens when camping in the left lane and forcing faster traffic to overtake on the right, then meeting slower right lane traffic, and having to move to the passing lane. However, it was foolhardy to move left, with so little space between the car in front and the left lane camperman. Not really enough space ahead to accelerate clear, better to have just slowed down a tad and moved left after the camperman. Don't camp in the passing lane.
Yeah, I'll bet the cammer has convinced themselves that their explanation is right and the SUV "appeared" instead of that cammer cut them off aggressively. They should both get some fault in this accident. Another commenter was right, the only one with no fault here is the dump truck driver.

At 37:17 is a truck on fire in Richburg, South Carolina. If you pull the intersection up on Google Street View, it shows the same truck after the fire was put out, and a fire truck on scene. Hell of a coincidence.
My trucker step-dad explained how to drive being around trucks. Never stay in the truck's blind spot. Watch the truck's turn signals and get the hell out of their way because they can't see everything. I always slow down to let trucks merge or speed up to clear the way. Always watch far ahead for reasons a truck might need to change lanes like climbing long grades and make room for them. Signal the trucks when the way is clear. When a truck is trying to change lanes let them. 60+ years since that lesson and no accidents. Just use common sense and be courteous. Most of these accidents could have been avoided by not being hard-headed about your own importance.
You just never know when something like this could happen especially when the danger is coming right at you but it’s out of sight…. Fast reaction to avoid what could have been a lot more serious…. Great driving from these guys 👍🏻
0:52 What it actually looks like happened if you watch closely is the dark grey car on the left and the silver car on the right both merged at the same time into the truck’s lane, causing the cars to brake right in front of the poor trucker. You can see the silver car picking up speed afterwards. I don’t think it was the trucker’s fault at all and the only reason he didn’t squash them is because he WAS looking farther down the road.
0:58 If you notice there's a car blocking the broken down car. When you're scanning around sometimes it's hard to visualize a dead stopped vehicle in the middle of the road because it's unexpected.

Pickup driver with the handgun should be VERY thankful that no one else was armed. Both of the semi drivers had ample opportunity and rights to put him down like a rabid dog.
As a truck driver myself, it's very comforting to know that I'm not the only one dealing with these morons. I have been driving for the last 13 years (yeah, I know, not much, but I pride myself on my professionalism and safety) and no matter what I do, no matter how safe I am, I run into morons and d-heads everywhere. Edit: I will own up to the fact that I was passing a slow moving car carrier up a hill near exit 123 on Interstate 80 E today near the exit for Woodlands in Pennsylvania and I had to get over in front of him fairly close to make my exit and I felt bad about it because I despise those people. Sorry man, I didn't think I'd slow down that much, I have no excuse, but hopefully I didn't cut you off. I won't make that mistake next time. We live and we learn.
I'm in the same boat, though I have only been doing it for 1.5 years now, so I'm still very green. It's amazing the lack of care or respect cars have for 80,000 lbs rolling down the interstate. By far the most infuriating thing though is when other CMVs do it, though from what I've seen it's far less common and usually you can tell when it was just a mistake. Keep at it and stay safe out there.
In these videos I see a lot of semi truck drivers making basic mistakes, like sticking in the most left lane overtaking nothing, changing lanes and hitting unseen cars in front of them, making too tide corners, driving too fast in bad weather conditions, etc. As it's their profession they should drive like professionals. So scary. BTW 4wheelers are even worse in these videos.

No matter what I drive, I’m ALWAYS looking at least a 1/2 mile down the road and ALWAYS keep my distance to what’s in front of me. My head is always on a swivel and I’m constantly looking in my mirrors. Too many assclowns on the road.
How could the police possibly know who caused the accident? Cammer says that they didn’t cut off or push the vehicle that hit them onto the shoulder. Footage doesn’t show. If there are no other witnesses its one drivers word against the other.

Footage shows the cammer right next to that same car she hit, then her accelerating pass the car on her left, she was doing 100+ mph and as soon as she merged to the left, she clipped(pitted) the car she was passing... I dont know why people are saying the footage doesn't show..... she was driving wreckless all cuz she didn't want to slow down and get stuck behind that truck... could've avoided all that mess if she had just slowed down and got BEHIND the car instead of trying to pass it from the right lane...the first car did the same, but had plenty time to change back to the left lane... they both were trying pass that car because it was moving too slow for their fast over the speed limit driving arses.... you can also her the cars horn blow at her... she was illegally passing and xcessuvely driving over the speed limit....
It boggles my mind that people brake check semi’s. They should all come with a big push bumper and when people deliberately break check you, they should be fair game. Don’t let them stop you.
It's an insurance fraud scam. Legally the car that rear-ends the car in front is always at fault, no matter if the car in front is driving like a reckless idiot. These guys know that semi-drivers are unlikely to be injured in a bumper bust and that more damage will be done to their car then the truck. Their goal is to get a settlement payout for more than the car they're driving is worth, so that they can get a replacement vehicle and still have a tidy sum left over.
The fool who came back around from the light, stopped and then threatened to shoot the driver would have instantly been shot by me. DON'T THREATEN TO SHOOT PEOPLE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW!
Have driven though that area plenty of times hauling scrap metal. That merge point sucks and makes it worse when a cop of all people pull a stunt like that.
3:55 it looks more like a trucker was tailgating - the car only applied their brakes (not slamming them on). I see these truckers occasionally and they love to tailgate.
Not sure what's going on here, we don't see the beginning. It appears the truck was following a safe distance behind the other truck when the Buick got between them and started playing games. I'm always cautious when an aero-stained fluid-leaking POS car gets near me. They are often looking for any opportunity for someone else's insurance to buy them a new car.

Until you get your license, don't speak about driving. If you had your license, you would know that people in the left/passing lane have right of way. That means the person in the left lane has to pass before the guy in the right lane can get over. Hope this taught you something. (Just want to point out that I 100% agree with you, he should've let him over even tho the law says otherwise)
@U.S.A.Official Just so you know, I've had my license since Oct. '83 and have never been in a serious accident (not one that was my fault anyway). While the letter of the law may be what it is, I'm what you call a defensive driver. It doesn't bother me a bit to give up my right-of-way in the interest of safety, unlike this cammer who, in spite of danger signs, tried ramming his way through anyway. That's why I don't have anywhere near all the problems these people have.
Most of the rear-end impacts are the fault of the striking vehicle driver following too close. Drivers are required to leave an adequate distance at speed to avoid the vehicle ahead regardless of why they slow down or stop.
@ 29:26: When engaged in passing, keep at least 5 car distances from the car u want to pass. Make sure another driver (as in this instance) was hugging the bumper of the car trying to pass..of course, he was passing at the wrong time and didn't clear the car he was hugging the bumper on. Both cars were accelerating and the car ahead as well as the dump truck kept their eyes on these two behibd them. They were far in front so if any collision happened as we see here they were cleared from the wreckage. Glad no body rolled over or got killed. The calmness of the driver trying to calm the hysterical woman was extraordinary... seems he has been in a few wrecks like this before 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬

Strange law, in Australia and many other countries brake check on a main highway or main road is considered dangerous driving, if one suspect brake problems they are to pull on the side of the road or breakdown lane. After watching many incidents, without a dash cam one can easily fall victim of fraudulent drivers.
29:33 Is there no speed limit? GPS say 103 mph at the time of the wreck. You can hear the car on the outside beeping his horn. The cammer never fully passed the other car and pushed him in to the median. I'm betting the guy on the outside sped up too. The dump truck is the only one no at fault.
Yeah I was watching that one thinking, the driver seems at least partially liable. He says he was accelerating to be sure he had clearance, but nothing about whether or not he actually *had* clearance, which makes me think he got over without actually looking.
I’m glad I didn’t have to write that all the way out … cammer should be at fault, you were in right lane already traveling 90+ and I’m sure the speed limit is well under that even if it is the flow of traffic, you are also the driver in the slow lane so already being obligated to slow down due to not being in the passing lane, you also accelerated when clearly he’s in sight of being next to you, so instead of letting the left lane flow like normal and you adjusting since your in the right lane you decided to compete and cut him off because of a decision you made, the lane change was clearly not taken without hesitation so you didn’t keep track of the vehicle traveling next to you, but yet there’s a battle between insurance ??

These people that are overtaking the big trucks and swive in front of these big trucks and then suddenly stops time and again they must be fine big time.
Also, the driver of the dashcam van was in full fight or flight mode. He wanted to nope out of there but the semi cut him of… probably for the best. Not a good thing to be driving after a shock like that.

The clip from the repo life ending at 35:31 the cam owner is at fault here he had lots of time to slow down before he hit the trailer then proceeds to break multiple laws chasing him down only to cut him off and cause another hit by passing on a double yellow.

Friend of mine had something similar happen. Dude got out with a firearm in hand and he basically ran them over. Sadly they survived but he and his family tried to sue. Once the jury saw the dash cam footage his case was dismissed. Why they chose to go forward with it is beyond me. All evidence is presented in the beginning of the trial so it's not like the footage was just dropped out of nowhere. Not only was his case dismissed but he was ordered to pay all of my friend's lawyer bills AND the police fined him for lying to them. It was kind of funny. I wasn't there for it but my friend said when the court saw the footage his mother leaned over the partition and smacked him upside the head real good. I guess his family had no clue that he had done that.
Never tell the other person you have a camera. Don't tell the police until after the other person signs their statement. Then take it to court.

I am a 69 year old woman and I learned in the 80's to drive a 5&4 Kenworth dump truck and then a White - Freightliner 13 speed road ranger. Little cars REALLY don't know big trucks can't stop!! Keep the shiny side up😊!

The road rage act of stopping his vehicle in a lane of traffic is reckless endangerment a Class A Misdemeanor, adding the control of a handgun is a Class E Felony. TN Code 39-13- 103 (2021). Pointing the weapon is Aggravated Assault also a Felony. And probably another 6 misdemeanors for traffic offenses and firearm violations could be charged with what was witnessed in the video. When arrested it won't be a slap on the wrist if he's convicted. I surmise the DA would not let all charges be reduced to misdemeanors and would insist on at least one felony charge stand for prosecution.
I had a coworker/friend who was the nicest, most chill guy ever. Very calm and gentle. When he got behind the wheel though, he turned into a homicidal maniac. He was the aggressor every time; brake-checking, speeding, tailgating, yelling profanities. He gave me a ride around the block in his new car once, and I never got into a car with him again. I don’t know what happened to him when he drove, but he definitely needed some kind of therapy.
Yep my old boss was the way. His wife used to give him grief, but the last time I rode with both of them, he must have rubbed off on her because she was now just as bad. Human nature is a strange thing to figure out 🤷♂️

I've seen hundreds of deaths on the roadways, and 90 % are speed and inattention.
I taught defensive driving and about 30 % of these truckers need training for just that ....Just because you are right doesn't mean you shouldn't avoid .. Backing off gas and Avoiding will litterally save your life . Many of the accidents where "you run out of road" .. Back off .
Most of these accidents are absolutely lack of proper training which i had 100's of hours in my career... 😢

What the cammer did was reckless, especially driving over 100 mph. However, the SUV driver decided to have a "hold my beer" moment and do something even more reckless and dangerous by driving faster than the cammer and passing on the shoulder. Both should've received tickets for reckless driving. But the video is evidence of who's responsible for the accident.

This is what happens when camping in the left lane and forcing faster traffic to overtake on the right, then meeting slower right lane traffic, and having to move to the passing lane. However, it was foolhardy to move left, with so little space between the car in front and the left lane camperman. Not really enough space ahead to accelerate clear, better to have just slowed down a tad and moved left after the camperman. Don't camp in the passing lane.

At 37:17 is a truck on fire in Richburg, South Carolina. If you pull the intersection up on Google Street View, it shows the same truck after the fire was put out, and a fire truck on scene. Hell of a coincidence.
My trucker step-dad explained how to drive being around trucks. Never stay in the truck's blind spot. Watch the truck's turn signals and get the hell out of their way because they can't see everything. I always slow down to let trucks merge or speed up to clear the way. Always watch far ahead for reasons a truck might need to change lanes like climbing long grades and make room for them. Signal the trucks when the way is clear. When a truck is trying to change lanes let them. 60+ years since that lesson and no accidents. Just use common sense and be courteous. Most of these accidents could have been avoided by not being hard-headed about your own importance.
You just never know when something like this could happen especially when the danger is coming right at you but it’s out of sight…. Fast reaction to avoid what could have been a lot more serious…. Great driving from these guys 👍🏻
0:52 What it actually looks like happened if you watch closely is the dark grey car on the left and the silver car on the right both merged at the same time into the truck’s lane, causing the cars to brake right in front of the poor trucker. You can see the silver car picking up speed afterwards. I don’t think it was the trucker’s fault at all and the only reason he didn’t squash them is because he WAS looking farther down the road.

As a truck driver myself, it's very comforting to know that I'm not the only one dealing with these morons. I have been driving for the last 13 years (yeah, I know, not much, but I pride myself on my professionalism and safety) and no matter what I do, no matter how safe I am, I run into morons and d-heads everywhere.
Edit: I will own up to the fact that I was passing a slow moving car carrier up a hill near exit 123 on Interstate 80 E today near the exit for Woodlands in Pennsylvania and I had to get over in front of him fairly close to make my exit and I felt bad about it because I despise those people. Sorry man, I didn't think I'd slow down that much, I have no excuse, but hopefully I didn't cut you off. I won't make that mistake next time. We live and we learn.
I'm in the same boat, though I have only been doing it for 1.5 years now, so I'm still very green. It's amazing the lack of care or respect cars have for 80,000 lbs rolling down the interstate. By far the most infuriating thing though is when other CMVs do it, though from what I've seen it's far less common and usually you can tell when it was just a mistake. Keep at it and stay safe out there.

My SIL is a trucker and I worry about him the whole time he's on the road. I often ask myself if I should be watching these videos.
In these videos I see a lot of semi truck drivers making basic mistakes, like sticking in the most left lane overtaking nothing, changing lanes and hitting unseen cars in front of them, making too tide corners, driving too fast in bad weather conditions, etc. As it's their profession they should drive like professionals. So scary. BTW 4wheelers are even worse in these videos.

Footage shows the cammer right next to that same car she hit, then her accelerating pass the car on her left, she was doing 100+ mph and as soon as she merged to the left, she clipped(pitted) the car she was passing... It's an insurance fraud scam. Legally the car that rear-ends the car in front is always at fault, no matter if the car in front is driving like a reckless idiot. These guys know that semi-drivers are unlikely to be injured in a bumper bust and that more damage will be done to their car then the truck. Their goal is to get a settlement payout for more than the car they're driving is worth, so that they can get a replacement vehicle and still have a tidy sum left over.

Until you get your license, don't speak about driving. If you had your license, you would know that people in the left/passing lane have right of way. That means the person in the left lane has to pass before the guy in the right lane can get over. Hope this taught you something.

@U.S.A.Official Just so you know, I've had my license since Oct. '83 and have never been in a serious accident (not one that was my fault anyway). While the letter of the law may be what it is, I'm what you call a defensive driver. It doesn't bother me a bit to give up my right-of-way in the interest of safety, unlike this cammer who, in spite of danger signs, tried ramming his way through anyway. That's why I don't have anywhere near all the problems these people have.
Most of the rear-end impacts are the fault of the striking vehicle driver following too close. Drivers are required to leave an adequate distance at speed to avoid the vehicle ahead regardless of why they slow down or stop.
@ 29:26: When engaged in passing, keep at least 5 car distances from the car u want to pass. Make sure another driver (as in this instance) was hugging the bumper of the car trying to pass..of course, he was passing at the wrong time and didn't clear the car he was hugging the bumper on.
Both cars were accelerating and the car ahead as well as the dump truck kept their eyes on these two behibd them. They were far in front so if any collision happened as we see here they were cleared from the wreckage. Glad no body rolled over or got killed. Strange law, in Australia and many other countries brake check on a main highway or main road is considered dangerous driving, if one suspect brake problems they are to pull on the side of the road or breakdown lane. Yeah I was watching that one thinking, the driver seems at least partially liable. He says he was accelerating to be sure he had clearance, but nothing about whether or not he actually *had* clearance, which makes me think he got over without actually looking.
I’m glad I didn’t have to write that all the way out … cammer should be at fault, you were in right lane already traveling 90+ and I’m sure the speed limit is well under that even if it is the flow of traffic, you are also the driver in the slow lane so already being obligated to slow down due to not being in the passing lane, you also accelerated when clearly he’s in sight of being next to you, so instead of letting the left lane flow like normal and you adjusting since your in the right lane you decided to compete and cut him off because of a decision you made, the lane change was clearly not taken without hesitation so you didn’t keep track of the vehicle traveling next to you, but yet there’s a battle between insurance ??
