I was thinking that. The protagonist is super chill considering what he's dealing with, so at the point of time the trailer shows, it really has just become routine for him. Makes me wonder if it has an "infection gets worse each night" mechanic, and you have to end the week with as few infected animals as possible.
Also super interesting that the guy is desensitised to the point where he is literally feeding them people like he's chucking them a cookie...

Unless this whole zoo is a test experiment and they're feeding them prisoners hence you take the train to get there.
And considering his reaction to see the first one was "I have to hurry up." he's aware of whats happening.

Imagine if this game had a “zoo mode” where there’s no horror and you just play as a zookeeper
Also if you just take care of the normal animals and the mutant ones the mutants just being chill
I always thought that a zoo is a great setting for a horror game but god damn this idea is better then i could ever come up with
FR it’s why I’m so mad that The Owl House never got to do what they wanted with the concepts they had with the giraffes
Ok so far we got Moose,Hippos,Giraffes,Penguins,Kangaroos,Zebras and Gorillas as animals in Zoochosis can only imagine the horrors the rest we haven’t seen yet especially the actual carnivorous animals
I’m confident infected carnivores will be in the game, I’ve never heard of a zoo with just herbivores. But I suspect that infected carnivores are either late-game content or serve as ‘bosses’.
God damn you know that in that list, a Hippo could be one of those bosses you mentioned. You know how horrifying those things can be when they are not mutated?

This game is a breath of fresh air. With all of these mascot horror games taking over the genre, its really good to see zoochosis not one of them. It looks amazing!

I'm so hyped for this, especially the little details. The temperature check obviously is for infection, but on the task list it says the gather the gorilla poop and analyze it. Plus the UV light he used on the kangaroos since some fungal infections show up under UV light! Plus the music makes it feel so deliciously corny or campy I love it.

Plague of Madness vibes right here. At least there's nothing here that's like 100 meters tall or anything. Though don't get me wrong, mutant demon giraffe monsters are TERRIFYING.

The game looks tempting with various endings but real good to watch. I’ve seen that elephants 🐘 and hippos 🦛 are going to be in it too. Those 2 are already dangerous animals and I’m curious to see how much deadlier they’ll be with that mutation. The kangaroos 🦘looked a little short and round, I thought they were wallabies.
Also I thought about giving you lot trivia about the word: Zoochosis. A strange word, yes. But if you’re curious enough to google it, you’ll actually learn that Zoochosis is a real thing. It’s a mental health issue that’s found in captive animals. Symptoms include head bopping and body rocking. It simply happens when the animals roam around in their pens, seeing the same thing…over, & over again…for months. Kinda shows the dark side of zoos.

I'm looking forward to learning the lore about the parasites or whatever those things are that are causing the accelerated animal mutations, as well as why a zookeeper would be supposedly using human flesh to feed the zoo animals. I wonder if that body was the previous zookeeper and that's what happens to those they fire or if they need to tie up loose ends when employees ask too many questions.

I am beyond excited for this one! I love how the gameplay is very simulation based I’ve always wanted to be a zookeeper. I mean, maybe not at this zoo but this game does look super interesting and engaging.
