    I don’t know much about leds but usually you have to step down the power so you don’t blow the leds out.

    • @Ca18detEnjoyer
      @Ca18detEnjoyer Před 9 měsíci

      Leds have a lot less resistance so stepping down the power is a good idea
      Leds having less resistance is also why replacing your indicator bulbs with led ones is not a good idea because then they are gonna flash super quick
      If you want to visualize what that looks like, go put your hazards on after unplugging a few of the indicators
      On the topic of led replacements, make sure that if you are getting an led replacement, make sure it is a whole enclosed light and not just swapping your xenon or halogens for an led bulb
      Because if you "struggled" to see with halogens or leds the you are definitely gonna struggle then because leds don't have the same light patterns as other bulbs and so the physical shape of your headlight is not going to reflect the light correctly and is just gonna most likely fly out just one direction or not even make it far out the light casing, or even worse and why I have a distain for led lights, blind everyone and everything around you whilst leaving you blind as well
      Replacing led lights is not a cheap and easy plug and play thing because it's something very important to your safety and other peoples safety so do research
      Often why I encourage people to just try out new replacement halogens or xenons instead of going straight to led
      Don't let this put you off leds though, if they work with the design of your car and you've made sure they're safe and actually functional then all the fucking power to you
      Just please don't go get some pre led era car and stuff a replacement led bulb in and expect it to look or work good

    I see a lot of comments like "people think my brights are on when it's my low beams". That's because the the led light is usually reflecting in a different part of your headlight because of bulb dimensions, they are effectively now in the high beam position, that's why you're getting flashed.
