My 1st year in business I was really defensive with customers now I have learned that it’s not worth the fight and it pays to be responsible for their experience. Oh! As for my situation, I've decided to make a tough decision. (I know and hear me out) I've dissolved my business, but for a number of good reasons. Most of all, it's timing, not with the markets, but with my son and I'd like to take this time to focus on homesteading/ growing as much food as possible on our 1 acre plot and spending as much time with him as I can. At this age (8yo) he's really looking for my attention in the manner that it's difficult to make even a handful of candles and I could not help but think... What happens when things really take off and just due to the home atmosphere, I can't make my products? I'm in that weird area where I do not have a separate place to work and I am being pulled and tugged EVERYWHERE by everything in life and things have become this huge mass of absolute chaos that may take quite a few years to settle. (Maybe even 5-10 years but hoping for the best there).
On a plus note, I have learned so much and saved/ stored all of my information gained. For now, food and outdoor chores for my situation seem to be the best decision that I could make for the time being. Wish me luck in the future eh? I'll still be around of course. At this point, you're like a distant friend I've never met in real life outside of CZcams.

Congratulations to you, Erica! I did my first event last year. It was not a good event, not for me or anyone else. I sold two candles. But when you think that my self-doubt was over my prices, selling 2 was monumental! I’ve not done more than 600 at a show, but this year I’m rethinking my staging of the booth and I know I’ll do better. Thank you for your inspiration.
