My FMS Pitts RC Plane Review Notes:
Pros:
- Excellent paint and decal application.
- 6S Pitts Power
- Can break down for transport with a little effort.
- Once assembled, it it built like a TANK with robust construction.
- Highly detailed panel lines and rivets.
- Only needs a 4 channel RX, so you save money there.
- The plane flies and lands WAY better than my E-flite Pitts 850mm RC Plane.
- I flew is successfully with Spektrum Smart 6S 30C 5000 (SPMX50006S30).
Cons:
- The screws could have been labeled better for a quicker and easier assembly.
- Horizontal stab plastic struts were not fun, but care was taken and it worked out just fine.

"The Pitts Special is a light aerobatic biplane designed by Curtis Pitts. It has accumulated many competitions wins since its first flight in 1944. The Pitts biplanes dominated world aerobatic competition in the 1960s and 1970s and, even today, remain a potent competition aircraft in the lower categories.
Built upon the successful V1 Pitts biplane, FMS is proud to announce the brand-new Pitts V2. Redesigned with a massive 1400mm wingspan, the Pitts V2 is constructed of lightweight and robust EPO foam material. Proprietary connector plugs built into the wing structure means that the wings can be attached to and detached from the fuselage using just a few screws. The slide-fit wing struts are just as simple, slide them on in just a few seconds and the wing is securely braced!
An oversized battery bay accommodates most 6S packs with ease- giving the pilot ample power to attempt all aerobatic maneuvers. Hobbywing 50A ESC provides bulletproof performance!

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks Tim for the upgrade breakdown. Yall should have a link to all the parts Tim used to hop up the pitts so all of us speed freaks can buy them & yall get commissions. Just sayin cuz im sold! I love this plane but its too slow stock.

I luv my FMS 1400 pitts takes up so much room in my vehicle 🙂 but there great flyers and I like the sound, did you do the battery tray mod,I installed the avian 60 amp smart esc and using a master screw 16x10 prop plus the AR637 receiver very nice flyer, good flying guys and video👍👍
It is a big beauty for sure! Tim has a big truck with a cover on the bed for easy transport. When I had mine, I could break it down to fit into my car 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Great video great flying ,I have a pitts I am trying to put a 60 amp avian esc in mine also with a ar637t ,got the receiver in and bound but the spectrum esc has 3.5 bullet connections to the stock motor which has different size bullet connection how did you guys get around that ?? And is there a replacement spectrum motor I can use ?thanks in advance for any feedback

What is the prop?
Very good question! Tim mentioned the dimensions at the beginning of the video, but I am unsure of the brand. Hopefully he can let you know if the comments when he is able 👊🏻💥👊🏻
@@GBLynden I couldn’t tell what size it was. I thought I heard 16x8 and then 15x8. I’m still using the stock 460KV motor and a Xoar 16x8 PJN. It upped the watts and the thrust. And the Pitts actually seems faster now. The vertical is way better..
Very cool! Tim is also making tweaks, so I never know what he has rocking currently that might even be better.
Prop is a 15x10e APC.
@@timjoostens8887 And the motor is the 4258-KV550 from an FMS 2m Beaver? If so, that's why you couldn't use a longer prop. And if it is turning faster, it shouldn't need more pitch. Mine has much better vertical performance with a 16x8E on the stock 460KV motor. A 16x8 has a diameter-to-pitch (D:P) ratio of 2:1 which will pull better than a 15x10 that has a D:P ratio of 1.5:1..
