- 20 pilots, 60 fat models and a lot of fun. The sixth meeting of the Legendary FAT FIGHTERS was a huge success.
We had seven maidens without any problem and up to 16 models flying same time.
There needs to be a strictly enforced rule against giggling
And whoever cracks up last gets a little present or something
I could not just not stop giggling with joy
I prefer screaming and moaning as it's been the sounds of my airfield whenever I showed up. The laughter and giggles follow shortly after my flight demonstrations.
I think we're so lucky to still be alive.
And laughing makes you live longer.
Never has an aircraft built specifically for suicide attacks looked so cute ...

When I was a kid in the 80s they sold plastic models to assemble - egg-fighters. Remember having the Zero and the Dauntless ... they must still be in the attic at my parents
Brilliant fun! Almost 50 years ago I was obsessed with sketching "chunky" P45s, never thought someone would put in the effort to make them fly!
Isn’t it interesting, that even with their ridiculously funny proportions, we can still recognize just what prototype each plane represents!
One thing I've learned is that Germans know how to have fun.

The DC-3 flies so realistically. Sounds like its full of screaming chipmunks though.
Yes, perfect scale in flight. Span is 4 meter, weight is 3.8 Kilogramm. 😊
Flies on a tiny 3s lipo. Made from vacuum formed 6mm Depron. A masterpiece from our squad member Jürgen Schönle.

That my friends is an amazing event, I hope I can travel one day and take a fatty model to the meet. Keep the hobby growing and full of comradeship. Just love the Baka! I am working on mine but not fatty model. All in all, superb modeling as expected from Europe. Many kind and warm regards from Mexico from a fellow modeler!

The B17 unfortunately is not amongst those. A number of planes shown are one-offs and impossible to market because of complexity. No one willing to pay the resulting price. Sorry to say.
The brewster buffalo is the first true fat fighter but in real hehe 👍, but these little fat plane's look so cool i must say,

all of my planes have been hanging or sitting in boxes so long my batteries are toast. This has kept me from wanting to fly for the last couple years due to expense. These little fat planes have me wanting to build and fly again. Not going to get bothered park flying with planes that look like that.
