@@synchronizedskating Less popular in the rest of the World, but VERY popular in South America. Regardless, the jumps are the same, the Moves in the Field are the same & they’re marked the same. So what if it’s Roller Blades/Skates...It’s still Skating & it is beautiful. I don’t get the snobbishness I’m seeing in here from certain members of the Ice Skating Community. BTW....Someone by the name of Tara Lipinski was a Roller Skating Champion before switching over to the Ice. Just putting that out there.... Take Care!!
For difference of dance style the Irish gig with roller skates would showcase your versatility and bring a difference to the audience and favour with the judges at competition. Selah OMAIN (CREATION would enjoy your performance and rejoice in your versatility)
Synchronized figure skating is also a thing and from what I know more well known (which isn't very well known at all). I used to be on a team before they got toxic and I quit. Honestly looking at it the requirements are really similar.
@@kits8931 I know it exists, I am a solo skater. But I feel like there is a stigma that you go to do synchronised skating of you're not talented enough in jumps and spins to do solo or pairs and can't skate beautifully enough to do ice dance. But in my country synchronised skating is as good as non existant so that doesn't help. But I am sp wired on solo skating I could never do this
@@beatricescroggin3406 it's definitely not. There would be more scores in the ice from blades of it were. Plus, they're not skating on blades, they skating on wheels
