I'm not an ice skater but i feel like ice skating has a sense of freedom to it, being able to fly above the ground is such a beautiful thing, it feels like an escape from the real world to a world where you can spread your wings and let go of any boundaries

There's a difference between an average Joe kicking a ball in a net and a proffessional athlete who trains every day doing that. If it were easy we'd all be footballers.
Whut Dafeq soccer training for pros is extremely similar to training for regular ppl. To play soccer, you just need to be able to run and shoot. To figure skate, you need to be able to jump, run and dance, all on a blade that’s about a mm thick.
I think I can safely say being a professional soccer player is far easier than being a professional figure skater.
The only reason soccer became so popular in the first place is because it is so accessible.
@@bente1695 as someone who trained soccer for months and STILL sucked at it, I can safely say it's not nearly as simple as just "being able to run and shoot". Granted I can't skate but I've seen kids a quarter my age that can easily skate and jump and dance on a mm thick blade. How about instead of calling one sport easier than the other, we agree on the fact that that all sports are hard to perfect on a professional level.
