Abigail was first born dead on July 7th, 1777. Every King Diamond album is a full story. Hearing one song out of context is a tough position to be in.
The album is called "Abigail", King Diamond's second record in 1987. Maybe the person who requested "Abigail" was requesting the album and not the song?
From wikipedia:
"Abigail tells the story of a young couple, Miriam Natias and Jonathan La'Fey, who move into an old mansion that La'Fey inherited. It takes place in the summer of 1845. At their arrival they are warned by seven horsemen not to move into the house because if they do "18 will become 9." They do not heed the warning and proceed to move into the mansion. During their first night, Jonathan meets with Count de La'Fey, the Family Ghost, who is a deceased relative. The ghost shows him a casket in which a corpse of a stillborn child, Abigail, rests. The ghost informs him that Miriam is carrying the spirit of Abigail and that the child will soon be reborn. He insists that Jonathan must kill Miriam at once to prevent the rebirth.
The narration then relates the story of what happened to the Count and his wife: on 7 July 1777, the Count had discovered his wife had been unfaithful to him, and was pregnant with an illegitimate child. Enraged, he threw the Countess down the stairs, breaking her neck and causing the child to be stillborn. The Count had the body of the Countess cremated, and the stillborn fetus he named Abigail and had mummified and laid to rest in a sarcophagus, the Count having an inexplicable urge to preserve Abigail for the future.
The narration then returns to the summer of 1845, during which Jonathan and Miriam are beset by a range of omens; the church bell rings despite nobody being inside to ring it, flowers die, unwholesome stenches fill the house and in the dining room the table is discovered set for 3. In one incident an empty cradle is discovered by Jonathan swaying in the air, with both him and Miriam insisting that they didn't bring it with them. The next day, Miriam is clearly pregnant and the fetus develops quickly; Jonathan realises that the family ghost was speaking the truth.
The fatal crisis begins when Jonathan accuses Abigail of possessing Miriam, and Abigail (through Miriam) admits it. Jonathan is terrified and considers getting a priest to exorcise Miriam - Miriam, however, exercising a moment of control, urges him to cast her down the stairs to kill her just as the Count had slain the Countess and Abigail's original incarnation. Therefore, Jonathan pretends to give in to Abigail's demands, and suggests to Abigail (once she regains control of Miriam) that she should come down to the family crypt so she can be reborn where she died. However, as the couple stands at the top of the stairs, Jonathan is distracted and the possessed Miriam pushes Jonathan down the stairs.
Miriam gives birth to Abigail, but dies shortly afterwards, her last sight being of Abigail's "yellow eyes"; supposedly her ghost can be heard screaming on the stairs in July ever after. The seven horsemen arrive at the mansion and discover the baby Abigail in the sarcophagus, eating something too horrifying for the narrator to mention (though the fact that it is found in the sarcophagus suggests that Abigail is eating her own previous body). Appalled, they take her away to bury her in a hidden chapel in the forest with seven silver spikes driven through her body (a burial heard as the intro to the album), in the hope that this will prevent a further resurrection."
So glad you explained that to them. They really need to hear the whole thing to understand.
Thanks
I did more digging. The story and the song both were inspired by a recurring dream that he was having. He took the date of the story from a random headstone that someone had sent him a picture of. I was hoping for something better, something with more factual events. But either way I am impressed.
Me too. It's still a great story and excellent album
This entire record is a masterpiece. Also of note is the number recurring 9 them. Every number x9, when added/broken down equals 9. July 7, 1777 added equals 36, 3+6 equals 9.
King Diamond is one of the influences to Metallica Slayer and Megadeth
Phillip C Slayerozz Speaking the truth!

Far fetched.

I guess u r young and get something twisted?
No offense, bro.
Black Rose Was Kings early days and Early MF was 82 and 83 Melissa , Beginning . Dont break the oath was 84.
King 's 1st solo album Fatal Portrait was 86
Omg... watching you guys try to break this down is utterly painful. lol Yes, it's a concept album.... ALL of his albums are concept albums, I told you that yesterday and so did many others. You did a song from the middle of the album, you aren't going to get it like that.
PS: Abigail is the spirit of a stillborn baby.

Glorious!
Not all his albums are concept albums. The Spider’s Lullabye is NOT a concept album and Fatal Portrait also is NOT a concept album. Both of those albums have some songs that tells a story but as a whole, they are not concept albums.
The Spider’s Lullabye and Fatal Portrait are most definitely concept albums as both like all of King Diamonds albums as King Diamond are telling a story.
King Diamonds non concept albums are done in Merciful Fate.
Greg K no dude. Fatal Portrait has only 4 songs (technically 5 tracks) that are connected out of 11. The first 5 songs of Spiders Lullabye are their own individual short stories. Six feet under is an alternate chapter of Conspiracy. Then the last 4 songs are one story.
Mercyful Fate initially broke up in 1985 due to artistic differences and then King Diamond was formed by 3 out of the original 5 members. Fatal Portrait (the first King Diamond album) was released in 1986. Two different bands bud.
Christopher Hyde I’m calling Fatal Portrait a concept albums King Diamond were more conceptual than Mercyful Fate but both opinions
Are great
Hi Vin, Hi Sori, you have to listen to an entire album of this genius because they are all conceptual, I recommend the album "Them", in fact, everyone is incredible.
That would be an amazing Halloween special! Their records are so atmospheric.
Kyle S. I actually saw Mercyful Fate in the 80's twice I think for Halloween shows (in smaller venues) and were some absolutely crazy (and astounding) shows....
Listen to “Them” and “Conspiracy” in that order, it’s part of the same story
'Abigail' is perfect to start, it's a complete masterpiece, no filler, and it's about 40 minutes long.
Chicago Concert Channel Mercyful Fate played the Metro on Halloween night on the "Don't Break the Oath" tour. I was there.
King Diamond is from Denmark where he was in the band Mercyful Fate, after their breakup King went on to form King Diamond, FUN FACT: King now resides in TEXAS!!!
And this one is awesome an fun interview with him if you know his stage persona czcams.com/video/GXWwbSCDgm0/video.html
Yes that’s an awesome interview
Yes and I have met him...\m/...
Hell yea ,texas ! Long live the king!

Yeah i'm a freak fan when it comes to King Diamond. I have all his albums on cd. I love everything he has put out.
I second this great list!
King isn't a daval wershipper!
@@mortimerbustos4487 True; more of a libertarian & Halloween enthusiast. Although, Don't Break The Oath is a more Satanic recording than most Black Metal recordings. La Veyan Satanism is more libertarian than dark arts/devil worshipping. Satan Worship is too tied into Christian dogma. I would say, at least La Veyan Satanism breaks with Judeo Christian dogma, and advocates a break and a more individualist and libertarian worldview. This Satanism does not identify with any spiritual or demonic being(s), pro or contra. It is more about a liberation from such constricting concepts.
That's a pretty solid list. You actually have songs from multiple albums. Not just them and Abigail.
I don't think that they'll like Nuns Have No Fun :P
Really should do a whole album reaction seeing how The Kings albums are a whole story all the way through. You will understand everything then, and it just kick ass.
King Diamond, king of horror story telling. Have been a fan since day one! The Eye is an awesome album! Much love and respect!!
They eye is very under rated. That album had a lot of songs written by Andy and a couple written by Pete. Programed drummed gave that album a week mix but the songs are great.
There is a cover of The Trial that is out of this world. It might be by Immortal, but I cannot recall.
@@horzagiar88 Yes! That's it.
Dark Funeral.
Their cover of The Trial is Soooo good!!!
@@horzagiar88 I heard it on a King Diamond tribute album from Necropolis records. It's the best track on there. Eastmann's Cure by a band called Aurora is also pretty good. And, of course, Abigail covered by In Aeternum is pretty decent.
@@horzagiar88 Haha, that title reminds me of Satan's Little Helpers by The Electric Hellfire Club.
It's not just about the lyrics. His voice is a gift! He is extremely talented.
Yes... it's the same guy. lol He has a very wide vocal range and is known for his use of falsetto. He's actually 62 yrs old, has had a triple bypass heart surgery... and still can sing like this! I saw him live about 2 years ago and it was absolutely amazing, I have several videos I recorded that night of entire songs. (decent quality too) He puts on one the best shows, it's like a play or a movie happening right in front of you.
This is one of the best concept albums in metal and meant to be listened to as such. I believe you guys would really enjoy the vocal interplay where King sings all the characters with different voices and infliction, plus the solos by Andy LaRocque and Michael Denner are fantastic.
Agree!
Andy is the best shredder the metal scene has ever seen
You neeeeeed to do the whole album it is an amazing concept album that tells honestly a perfect horror story and I love this album so much
please listen to the entire album this concept album tells an incredible story that is still a fan favorite to this day. All Hail the KING!!!
I've seen both Mercyful Fate and King Diamond about 10x in total. Every show is still the best!
YES DO A HALLOWEEN SPECIAL for the entire Abigail album!
Mercyful Fate - A Dangerous Meeting
+1
Agreed!!!
Mercyful fate dangerous meeting
Now that you’ve heard him (King Diamond), you’ve got to try his original band Mercyful Fate. That is a band that helped influence black metal. Evil, Curse of the Pharaoh, Melissa are all fantastic songs
I'll add Into the Coven, A Dangerous Meeting, The Oath, Come to the Sabbath......fuck Mercyful Fate is amazing.
neonspec ... and Satan's Fall
Daniel Hurtubise ...and Nightmare
The Oath, the lyric breakdown would be incredible.
The whole album is amazing!
I am a Christian. I have been a fan since 87 after seeing him live. Great vocals. Great live show. His albums tell a story. Can't take his message as your own. Just love the music. Named my daughter Abigail Miriam Ashworth. Stay Heavy my friends. Check out Fatal Portrait.
Dude that is awesome!🤘
Iron Maiden-Phantom of the Opera (Live at the Rainbow or Live at Ullevi). Everything Iron Maiden is musically begins with this song. A masterpiece
Download 2013 or Live after death.
I love King Diamond! Listen to Mercyful Fate. He started in that band. A living legend! 😎
He started in Black Rose actually
Tomek Black Rose came after Brainstorm.
@@ANationalAcrobat but in brainstorm he didnt sing just play on guitar
Tomek Yes, that’s true. Later he has played some guitar tracks on Fatal Portrait and Abigail albums.
These two would probably turn to dust if they listened to the Oath.
This one I didn't see comming. I love King Diamond, but this will probably be a really tough one to react to and figure out. All his albums are concept albums, and they all tell a Horror Story. Reacting to just one song might be very confusing for you since you won't have the whole story, just one small fragment for it. Some of King Diamond's stories even continues on through several albums.
I implanted in Vin's mind the idea to react to King Diamond, by suggesting to him that I don't want him to react to King Diamond. I knew it will work...
Leeloo Minai Oh, so that's how it's done... ;)
Actually if they go to the Merciful Fate album, "Time"...there are a few tracks that can be picked out individually, with some less confusing storylines.
Hey Vin & Sori, first time commenting - long time listening! PLEASE listen to the full album, one of the best concept albums ever! Halloween time would be even better!
Thanks for all great content and sharing your perspectives!
Aaron Miller That must be it!
Second that. The album is a bona fide classic.
Thanks for the great content? They just heard one of the best metal albums of all time and that is all they could muster up? These guys are HORRIBLE! OMFG!
VinAnd Sori You Guys Are One Of My Favorite Channels On You Tube Thanks For Being Here And For All You Do
When i set up/worked the Phillip Anselmo Housecore HorrorFest a few years back here in San Antonio, King Diamond performed the Abigail album in it's entirety.
Kinda Diamond-The Candle!!
Or
Iron Maiden-Moonchild
King Diamond is so great! Andy LaRocque, the lead guitarist of this band, is one of the most underrated metal guitarists of all time. He's in my top 5 for sure!
EDIT: Sori, your first impressions of the lyrics are pretty close for not hearing the beginning of the album!
Him playing with Death for a few albums, claimed my favourite Death Albums
You surprised me. I didn't think you guys would like it so much. ✌🏻 Really enjoying your videos.
Yes King Diamond high falsetto. I have seen him in concert several times. He.has done Abigail in its entirety in concert
He has indeed. He did it a couple of years ago in the UK. Great show, his voice is as good as ever.
Mayhem fest he sounded exactly like he sounded on his albums
IRON MAIDEN - Where Eagles Dare. Super epic stuff.
Watching you two untangle this concept is brilliant. Thank you for being so open minded and appreciating the talent of King Diamond. I've been a fan since 1983.
This is probably the BEST CONCEPT ALBUM OF ALL TIME !!!
...listen to the whole thing with lyrics. It is better than 99% of all horror movies ever made.
Type O Negative - Unsuccessfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infidelity!!
I took the D train
Down to Brighton Beach!!!
now that would make them do more than stare blankly lol!!!
I did a full on spit-take when I saw this.
Candlemass - Samarithan
King Diamond was in Mercyful Fate as the frontman, which was a major influence on early black metal. This was a concept album. Most of the albums done in both projects were, just something to keep in mind when listening to any of their songs
Mercyful Fate didn't do concept albums. They had conceptual songs (individual stories).
Finally some King Diamond, great reaction btw. You should react The Oath.
Awesome to see you reviewing this!!!
MY DYING BRIDE "The Cry of Mankind"
"She is the Dark", "My Hope, the Destroyer"
"The Sexuality of Bereavement"
"Your Shameful Heaven", "Your River"
His albums are generally a story from beginning to end. You can read the lyrics as a sort of short horror novella. From his time with Merciful Fate to his solo works, always creepy and dark. He would be an interesting interview considering his beliefs etc.
You know... I'll give you two credit. Your commentary over these sorts of songs is very interesting. Probably some of the most interesting commentary I've ever heard.
I have been a huge Diamond fan since Merciful Fate and was so happy to see you checking out the King. Listen to the album. It's a great story and is worth your time. Keep up the good work. Great stuff. Up the irons!!!!
This is a concept album indeed, the story is told in each song on the album.
You guys are on point. Yes, most of King Diamond’s songs are from concept albums. Even hearing it out of context you guys nailed it. King Diamond’s falsetto voice takes some getting used to. He is a musical genius and his lineup although different all the time, he picks very talented virtuosos.
King Diamond has influenced many genres. Thrash metal and Death metal in particular. Especially his guitar player Andy Laroque. His former drummer Mikkey Dee went on to Motörhead right up until Lemmy died. He has a fantastic theatrical live show.
Abigail. One of King Diamond's many legendary albums. Then there's his previous band Mercyful Fate. Don't even get me started on the legendary stuff that came from that band.
King Diamond is influenced by Uriah Heep. His favorite singer is David Byron.
Reaction mercyful Fate - satan's fall
PLEASE
This!
OMG Flipping yes!!!!
Awesome.! You made my day guys. Love King Diamond, incredible songs, incredible band, incredible records. You should that Halloween special with this LP. Thanks for this.
King Diamond is a genre in itself, completely unique. Please keep in mind this has been recorded in 1987.
King Diamond was in Merciful Fate before he went solo. Merciful Fate is the black metal inspiration.
King diamond-welcome home just as good
Yes!!! I'd love to see a reaction to Mercyful Fate - The Oath (Has KD on vocals) just to see the lyric breakdown afterwards :)

@4:45 Sori, your reaction, the eyebrow raise, then the look you gave the camera (us) was GOLD!!!
Five years have passed. I checked your videos and when I saw King Diamond I wanted to know your first reactions, hoping it was about Abigail. I'm lucky !
Thank you: you are great
He is considered a pioneer in black metal because he was one of the first in metal (if not the first, not sure) to wear corpse paint and have openly satanic lyrics.
Let's not forget Venom
This is actually a entire concept album you must listen to whole thing to understand the story
The concept album is just about a lost art. The album tells the story of a haunted house, and the family that becomes possessed. I’d LOVE to see your reaction to the whole thing.
Whoo! hoo! It was awesome to see your Kind Diamond reaction. Vin is really smart to catch that it was a concept album. But yeah would love to see a full album listening for Halloween. I recommend The Jonah. King Diamond used to be in Merciful Fate. That band influenced Slayer where pretty much in Kerry King's words their Hell Awaits album is a heavier version of Merciful Fate. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication.
One of the best concept albums of all time
Absolutely perfect album for a Halloween listening session. I'd vouch for that. King had other concept albums but this one is probably his apex.
Them is better
Great review. I preferred the format of this one. You got right to the song and it’s context and meaning. Well done!!!
Oh yeah... Rush - Natural Science
What i love the most about King Diamond is the Theatrical atmosphere... you can picture the scenes, and the song delivers this unique mood... i think is awesome.
MERCYFUL FATE - The Oath
Cheers V&S!
Abigail is a great concept record. Few are better storytellers than King Diamond. Most of his themes center around intricate ghost stories of demon possession, etc. Most of his so-called satanic songs are with his old band Mercyful Fate. They were also a huge influence of Metallica and one of the greatest metal bands ever. Please check out Curse Of The Pharoes or Come To the coven. If you don't own Don't Break The Oath or Melissa, you're not really metal. : ) And he can still deliver all of this live too.
"you're only living, on borrowed time from your faith!"
YES!! Halloween special King Diamond - Abigail full album! Its perfect!
1st time watching you guys and very impressed on how well you analyzed the song without knowing the full concept of the album..🤘
Glad you did this
"You wanna have a saeance, too?"
NOPE. Been there. Done that. Got the scratches.
Edit: I remember seeing my dad pray a demon out of a possessed man. Scariest thing I've ever seen.
RE EDIT: my mom in law is schizophrenic, and hears voices in her deaf ear....
Much Love Pony, that's real shit
. lots of love to you too Matt. 💜💜💜💜💜
dumb things happen when you try to communicate with the dead.
I don't care if people think I'm full of it but its real enough to me that I sleep with a nightlight still.😅
Thank you! Abigail is my favorite albums of all time! Love the entire album! It is a work of art!
Very cool song, thanks for doing it. Huge King Diamond/Mercyful Fate fan here. Yep, it's a concept album, & there's already comments concerning what it's about, so I won't add to them. Black Horsemen from this album is an epic song, one of the band's best. There's a song on Fatal Portrait titled, Halloween. The Portrait & Charon from that album would be great songs to do too. His voice might take some time to get used to, but the stories he tells are interesting & the music is great, especially the first 4 albums, & yes, he's a spooky guy. You're one step closer to The Oath by Mercyful Fate. All Hail The King! \,,/_(-,-)_\,,/
I prefer Kings earlier work with Mercyful Fate, the songs stand on their own better...most of the King Diamond solo work is concept albums. They were a huge influence on black metal, thrash metal, pretty much all extreme metal to follow. I think their main influence is the subject matters he tackled and the theatrics. They were one of the first openly evil/scare/satan bands, and King Diamonds appearance is just very evil looking. I knew you guys were growing in your experience in metal when you accepted King Diamonds vocals without even blinking. King Diamond still tours and puts on a great live show, very theatric.
*Mercyful Fate, The Oath" (1984)
and...Need to react to one of the other early influencers - *Venom, At War With Satan* (1984)
These two bands were huge influencers of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and then all of the death/black metal genres.
Yeeeeees! Do some Mercyful Fate, oh also some tracks from Kings “Them”
This song should have never been played without playing the entire album. The entire album is a story. Albeit a horror story but a story none the less. I absolutely loved this album and it is completely responsible for my addiction to Diamond. GREAT TUNE!
You did it!!!
do the whole album! haha
You should do the full album since it's a concept album
Opeth - Demon of the Fall!!
Ayeew Tasko nah, To Bid You Farewell or Death Whispered a Lullaby
100% support a King Diamond album listen with you guys for halloween, thatd be so rad! \m/
Well said before starting the music. Very nice old school metal. Hahaa that falsetto. Would you please consider reacting to Allegaeon: Proponent for sentience III the Extermination? Very sophisticated metal. Brutal riffing, nice soloing, catchy chorus.
Wow, they reacted to your comment! Maybe your pick will come before mine 😃
@@Daniel-ud2jj fingers crossed. I really am looking forward to that moment.
Most King Diamond and Mercyful Fate fans already know this but for those who don't, King got his start in the early '80's as a member of Alvin & The Chipmunks.
Craigh Ashton c’mon man... look at any old school A & The C’munk pics and note the uncanny resemblance between KIng and Alvin.
Haha hilarious. And True.
He was the chippette, Kim!
Craigh Ashton That’s not very nice... plus you were the one that actually thought there was a chance he was a chipmunk! 🙃
literally listened to this album for the first time in my life last night
WOW! LOL THIS WAS MY FIRST LIVE CONCERT I SAW.......
Hahahahthe KING!!!!
Why am I seeing this at 11pm on a work night. I need to be up at 4am.
Ugh. Ok. Here we go.
It's impossible for me to imagine only listening to one song off this album. You have to hear them all to get the whole story. It would be like opening up a Stephen King novel and only reading a chapter.
Abigail and Them are his two best albums per public opinion, both are horror concepts, Mikkey Dee (drums) & Andy Laroque (guitar) two of the very best in metal (ask any real metalhead). Mercyful Fate is King Diamonds band that predates his solo work and one of the most influential metal bands of all time (Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica all list them as a huge influence).
Conspiracy might just be my fav KD album.
For sure. Fatal portrait and voodoo are excellent as well.
Speaking of metal legends, you guys...
Bathory - Oden's Ride Over Nordland/A Fine Day to Die
(the former is a little instrumental, really adds to the experience of the latter! You’re doing yourselves a disservice by neglecting this masterpiece! :-)

Thank you Sori and Vin!
Ohh please do a full listen through of Abigail. I do it for Halloween every year. Perfect record for this time of year.

Amazing video! King Diamond is fantastic!
Another awesome King Diamond song is The Candle. It opens up his debut album as a solo artist (Fatal Portrait, 1986) and has a super creepy intro.
Burger King Diamond = best Halloween costume ever :D
Kind Diamond used to front the band Mercyful Fate.Maybe that’s the band that you heard was big in terms of the black metal scene.Anyway, thee main reason I’m dropping you this line is because I thought maybe you might be interested in knowing that King Diamond is an actual satanist.
To clarify the satanism comment. He is a satanist as per Anthony La Vey's school of satanism, which is really a form of atheism, no chicken or goat sacrifices there.
King Diamond (the band) was the Mercyful Fate vocalist's solo act. The main connection between modern black metal and Mercyful Fate (and King DIamdond) would be in the satanic and spooky imagery and aesthetics: between Denmark's Mercyful Fate and England's Venom in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the two bands set the tone for the dark side of heavy metal that gave metal it's reputation during the "Satanic Panic" of the 1980s.
Venom, as much a punk rock act as a metal act, were clearly "trolling" audiences with their act, King Diamond (the singer) wasn't really quite so obvious: he really seemed to take the whole ghoulish, spooky, master of evil act and run with it, rarely appearing in public out of character, while his crew would tell stories about King Diamond sleeping in coffins and such. On the rare occasions you do catch King Diamond out of character, he seems like a totally normal guy (and before Mercyful Fate started using the satanic imagery, the predecessor bands - Danger Zone and The Brats - performed some of the same songs with much more standard rock lyrics and a much less theatrical voice!)
I think you can kind of consider King Diamond to be like the Stephen King, Svengooli, or Vincent Price of heavy metal: he could have and maybe would have done something different and more "normal" and been OK with it, but then somehow found himself playing a spooky role, getting famous for it, all while having the time of his life, and thus making a living with a fun career in something he'd probably otherwise just only be able to look forward to enjoying doing for free once a year at Halloween. He's clearly having a blast putting on the costumes and creepy makeup and vampire fangs, then getting up on a stage made up like a haunted house full of candles and cobwebs to tell a bunch of cheering fans a story about ghosts, witches, and vampires, and ghouls....
The later black metal acts took the whole thing a lot more seriously, mixing Mercyful Fate/King Diamond's theatrics with Venom's crude and sloppy do-it-yourself act and much of the musical style of a third early black metal band, from Sweden: Bathory (essentially a one-man-band that came across as a tighter, faster, darker, more mysterious, atmospheric, and evil Venom clone.) A fourth band, from Switzerland, Hellhammer (who reinvented themselves after a couple demos and EPs as Celtic Frost), also helped set the template for modern black metal by adding in an artistic element on top of their own crude, sloppy, weird, mysterious, theatrical, and dark aspects.
In short, the connection between Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Venom, Bathory, and Hellhammer/Celtic Frost alone to modern black metal won't be very obvious, but realizing that modern black metal borrowed a little bit from all of those earlier band as a foundation for a new sound and image might help tie that connection together.
I agree with you totally Pat... Also, every song on a King Diamond album makes a whole story to tell ...the albums Them and Conspiracy go together as two parts to one story...I love him in Mercyful Fate as they were more satanic.. One of my Favorites by Mercyful Fate was Melissa
Above all, Kim Peterson is a talented musician.
King Diamond USED to be a Satanist.
King Diamond is so good, and Abigail is a metal classic. Best laugh in metal, as well
haven't watched yet but already know you guys can't handle the amazing talent that is King Diamond...lets find out.
i find the lack of motörhead on this channel disturbing!
Lol
You know what Lemmy would say if he were alive today?
"Awfully dark in this box, mate. I need to get to my dope! I already used all the dope given to me at my funeral!... HELP!"
159: Epica - Consign to Oblivion (live at the Zenith)
“What’s a crypt?” 😂
You two are funny af
Sori gets it btw.
The only King Diamond albums that aren't full concepts are "Fatal Portrait" and "The Spider's Lullabye". You have to read all the lyrics to understand what's going on. It's explained who Abigail is in the song "The 7th Day of July 1777."
Megadeth- Good Mourning black friday
I personally prefer the first two Mercyful Fate albums over any of the King Diamond stuff, but regardless, nice video. And as always:
Bathory - Enter the Eternal Fire
Bathory - One Rode To Asa Bay
Yes, the first two Mercyful Fate albums are the best.
By the same token, Fatal Portrait & Abigail are my favorite KD albums.
I would agree with that as well.
@ VinAnd Sori if King Diamond ever comes to your city, go see him, the show is absolutely amazing. They have a really cool stage setup and these guys nail all of their parts live too. Even if you're not crazy about the music, I guarantee you'll love it.
AW HELLS YEAH! Took you guys long enough! I do think you should listen through the whole album though to really follow the story. Would be perfect with Halloween coming up.
Edit, after watching the whole vid: Yes! Love that Sori loved it and appreciated the theatrical element.
