Shot placement combined with close range and head shots and it can do some work.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 It's the oil in the steel wool that causes the problem. Wash the oil out of the steel wool and you will get a darker blue on your extra coats.
Nice riffle friend, sure Christopher is going to have lots of fun with it, with the warnishing it's best to apply a few thin coats rather than one thick one with soft sanding with a fine Sand paper in between with lots of dying after each layer.

I have only ran one chronograph test immediately after new spring and piston seal. It was getting in the low 500 FPS but that is 100 fps faster that it was doing before.🙂👍

Nice job Chuck. I used to do a lot of bluing on firearms. A good tip is to degrease your steel wool that you use between coats.
