I found a 2007 Model 24 at a gun show several years ago. It was made for the Canadian market, and as such, is under 500 FPS, but what a great little rifle!
When I need to hit a small target with a spring piston rifle, that is the one I choose. Extremely accurate and fun to shoot. I'm sure that you and your son will have many hours of enjoyment.

Super nice.🙂👍 I was about 13 or 14 years old then. Around the time I saved up for my first Daisy 880. I didn't even know about spring piston rifles back then.

That's a classic air rifle. It will be worth the time and effort to bring it back to fighting fitness. Looking forward to seeing the out come.

      Thank you Steven. 😃👍
This is a fun little rifle to shoot.
It's very under powered, but I'm planning on putting an HW30 spring in it and new seals in it to see if that will help.

Fun video!!! I recently got a Winchester 425 which is a Diana 25 I believe. It was a a flea market in the last booth on my way out. It had surface rust but seemed solid. I got it for $10.00 and cleaned it with 0000 steel wool and transmission fluid. It came out great and is a solid shooter. When I took it apart I don’t think it was ever used. The inside had no crud and it just needed a change of lubrication. You’re right about people boo hooing about how the Diana rifles perform. I found them to be a joy to shoot… in .22 caliber pellets it’s pretty potent. Great score for you and your son!!! Have fun with it!!! The Old Army Scout…

What a cool rifle Chuck! I have been loving my .177 50S detuned down to 10.5 FPE with a vortek kit. These mild powered springers are such a joy to shoot compared to the big magnums

      Thank you 🤠👍
I have a high output Vortek spring in my HW30s that I really don't like. It only provides a little more power, but a lot more piston slam. Planning on returning to a lighter spring.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I agree I think the HO kits are a bit much.. That’s why I asked to have a few coils cut off and now it’s very smooth and not so hold sensitive.

What an awesome little rifle Chuck. I'm sure it's going to be a great project. Size wise is it similar to the hw30?

    • @springpistonriflefeverlone9611
      @springpistonriflefeverlone9611  Před měsícem +2

      Yes, it is .😃👍
I will have to do some comparisons to see how it matches up with the HW30s.
Right now it is very underpowered, only about 3.25 FPE.
I would at least like to get it up to 5-6 FPE.

Me gusta mucho tu contenido!!.

I wish I had a way to translate everything you were trying to tell me.
I'm guessing that you said, your Hatsan 135 destroyed your scope, but another rifle did not?

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 will try to write in english, sry if is a little bad. i need your recommedation for me, im new in this jobby and i want to have a good first break barrel with a good equilibrium power-accuracy in caliber .22 to do target, plinking, pest control.... the weight is not a problem for me, im 191cm sportsman. some ppl recommended me buy the hatsan 135 springer and upgreat it with gas-ram 45j piston, and they talk this is accurate rifle but.... im not sure about it... if the factory made and test gun to be 35j and you upgrade to 50j, i think its will not be an accurate rifle, but very power hahaha...
So watching your videos i think one of the best target for me can be the hw80.....
There are currently many models on the market, but with your big experience, recommend me please What model would you buy for all terrain? Thank you very much!

@@monkeystyle2154 Any HW rifle is very good.
Accuracy is the most important thing for hunting with spring piston rifles.
The Hatsan 135 is a big heavy rifle, and it's going to be a big heavy pain in the butt, lol.
      I have a Hatsan 95 22 and a 125 22 and both are very accurate but the 125 edges out the 95.
The positive about the Hatsan is the price and potential accuracy.
The negative about the Hatsan is lack of quality control from the factory.
Personally, I think it is worth getting a Hatsan if you know what to look for and if you can send it back for inaccuracy or defects.
If you do buy a Hatsan, I would go for the 95 in 22 caliber with a steel coiled spring.
When you receive it, thoroughly clean the barrel, use a push rod and push a pellet through the barrel slowly.
If the pellet free falls, meaning a large void in the barrel, send the rifle back and ask for another one.
If you have the cash and you don't mind spending it right away, I highly suggest the HW95 in 22 caliber.
These middle powered springers are balanced better and easier to shoot than the very long super magnum rifles.
I hope this has been of help to you.
Please let me know how all of this goes for you with your decision and what you get. 😃👍

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I very much appreciate your recommendation again. The new heads on the hw80 are beautiful, like the one on the hw77/97. One of my options is the Hatsan 135QE springer (non-vortex), and replace the spring with a 45J Brazilian gas-ram that they recommended to me (they assured me that it works great and accuracy is not lost). So I'm thinking between the 135 and the hw with the vortec kit. I also see that you highly recommend me considering the weight of the rifle, but again I repeat that I am tall and strong and I don't plan to walk much with it on me. So I prefer its capabilities and features over its weight.
