Explore the vast “Land of the Small"
Traverse lake sized puddles, scale skyscraper sized trees, scramble through cavernous cracks in roads, as you experience a huge open world from a new perspective. Explore dense forests, hazardous swamps and strange ruins left over from the time before. Uncover lore and knowledge from hidden NPCs scattered throughout the world and learn to survive in this vast wilderness.
Tame and ride creatures
Uncover recipes that will let you tame and ride an array of critters. Leap huge distances on the back of a Grasshopper, zoom around on a Damselfly, scurry from place-to-place on a Spider. This world and its inhabitants are yours to conquer.
Survive together
Play alongside friends with support for up to 10 players in multiplayer. Explore together, fight together, build together and survive the wilds as a team.
Build encampments on the ground or amongst the trees
Scavenge or refine resources to build your encampment with multiple material tiers, from leaves and twigs to sturdy stone. Pick your favourite spot in the world and build, or scale vast trees and claim your own settlement at the top.
Craft powerful armour sets
Collect powerful armours that provide you with resistances and abilities and mix them up to personalise your appearance. Glide through the skies in winged armour, swing from tree to tree with the grappling hook and many more.
Survive the Wilds
Most of the creatures you encounter will see you as lower on the food chain - Ants, Cockroaches, Beetles, Wasps, and Spiders all view you as a potential meal. Weather conditions and seasons are in constant flux so if you want to survive for another day, preparation is key.
the cheapest way to make bed on sheltered state is by placing shelter under the foundation. u can also make a little raised foundation and crawl under the foundation. it will consider as sheltered

You don’t lose your stuff if you die again before retrieving your gravestone. I have had 2 gravestones active that I retrieved from both.

When climbing your first tree, store all your stuff at the bottom of the tree in chests before climbing. Take one weapon or hammer if you wish and keep it in your hand. That way, if you get stuck, fall off and die, or something, you won't lose anything. Once at the top of the tree you can come down on the hot air balloon and get your stuff. It's an extra step, but if you die in an unfortunate location, you will be happy you did it...
Now, i DID use peaceful mode, for about 2-4 hours gametime, once I saw how ridiculous early game was before you know how to gear up fast. So, I agree and might continue doing this early game BUT , to have that as part of an early game guide is a cop-out.
I died 3 times and my first gravestone is still there where i can't reach it.
you don't have to build anything on the big tree to climb it. you can climb all the big trees without building anything. Building stairs or whatever makes it a tiny little bit easyer, but that is all. It will only cost you resorces you may need somewhere else. Don't do it, be a big little man (or woman)
I died in the water three times now. The first time it put my gravestone on top of a rock along the water. The second time I died in the water, my gravestone is in the water. I cannot get it. I tried. I died again and again my gravestone is in the water. I'd like to get my stuff back and not have to grind to build everything over again. I am only at flint gear, but still.
Is it worth it?
peacefull mode is just cheating though at that point kind of defeats the point of the game pretty much like creative on minecraft
