- After being in a state of limbo for a while, I am happy to reveal the Intro for Mega Man Revolution Remix! (As well as a slight redesign for Dr. Remir!)
With some fairly large pieces of pixel art, this took quite a bit of work and I'm happy with the result.
Whilst it is a bit less dynamic that what Quint's Revenge 2 has, ultimately Me and Mike also wanted it to be somewhat faithful to the original's intro, but you can check out just how much of a difference there is here:

Revolution continues to go well, and more and more things are getting checked off as "More or less done."
So, that's good news right?
The utter chaos continues here, and until that gets resolved, I'll continue to be away outside of potentially quick "Arbitrary Previews".
2021 ended pretty badly, and me and my family are still dealing with the fallout.
Things are stabilising but I think my energy reserves have utterly vanished. That is, not helping, obviously
That's about it.
I'll continue to not really be about on Discord either, so, I thank everyone relevant for holding the multiple forts down.
It's appreciated.

This was absolutely magnificent. Having Proto man listen in on Dr Light's conversation with Dr. Remire was a nice touch, and the part with Bass feels more in character for him. Thank you so much Ace.
Now THIS is an improved intro. Really impressive artwork going around here too. Also Dr.Remir had a robot hand this entire time? I never knew-
That was good. Thought for Bass’ line I would change the line from ‘I am the Ultimate Robot’ to ‘I am the Ultimate War Machine’

I love how the twist with Dr. Remir gets a bit more foreshadowing with the redesigned pixel art here, really goes to show how Remix is going to be leaps and bounds beyond the OG game.
Im really excite for this fan game,it looks like it's getting really close to being finished,can't wait when it's released!

Dude, that claw glove/hand on Remir is a nice touch. Still looking forward to this remake finally seeing the light of day.
I assume there's also a version of the intro for the standard NES 8-bit graphics option as well?
Yes, the 8bit graphics option handles a lot of it through shaders and disabling certain special effects, parallax, etc (They can be toggled by the user per setting anyway).
Not every graphic was optimized for the mode, as the priority is the default, but its there.
I hope Mega Man Revolution Remix doesn't get cancelled. This game is incredibly ambitious and well crafted. I can easily imagine a thriving community for this game.
I am looking forward to this! I always wanted to know who the evil energy came from and looks like I may find out soon!

I've seen what happened in the original game. Dr. Remir isn't who he said he was. He's an alien from a distant planet that got destroyed. He wanted to inflict Mega Man's world with the suffering he endure.

Glad we have a solid intro better than the old intro, although the model’s faces seem to be a bit off on the chins.

Got a question: Is it possible to set the movement to the D-Pad instead of the left stick in the original? Using the stick for it in this kinda game is not really optimal.

I think it _is_ supposed to be off, considering who looked similarly in the original Revolution.
