Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man Show is looking like an absolute Mess!

- First Know as Spider-Man Freshmen Year this show seems to be shaping up to be an absolute mess, here is my analysis on the matter and the way this series has been developing so far.

Well, since the 90's, I haven't seen any other Spider-Man animated rendition that I liked. And some months ago I decided to watch the 90's series back again, and in 6 episodes they showed a lot more than the MCU did in 3 movies.
So yeah, this show is D.O.A.
90’s show was awesome but I highly recommend the Spectacular Spider-Man series too. That was probably the last good Spider-Man show. Has some great writing.
As for this show… I have no hope.
I'd say give it a chance, maybe it might actually live up to that quote about it being Ditko esc. Beau Demayo had a gay onlyfans and used to write vampire fluff, but look at how good X-men 97' was. If the writer really loves Spider-man I'm sure it won't matter.
You make a fair point. But it’s difficult for me to be optimistic with any recent show or movie. The writing quality seems to suck everywhere. As I said at the end of the video. Hopefully I’m wrong.
You forgot to mention how the art style looks like absolute dog shite.
Ultimate spider-man (who wasn't even the ultimate spider-man, but just the amazing spider-man from 616 using the branding of ultimate spider-man in name only of earth 1610) was garbage for many reasons, but atleast the animation and art style were decent enough to look at. Hell, even the series that came after this where they "over-nerdified" peter had a better art style, and that shows art style was trash.
I haven't seen YFN SM in motion yet, but I can't imagine that THIS artstyle even "could" have decent animations that is pleasing to look at. I bring this up because, although the artstyle of the other spider-man show after ultimate (who I can't be asked to remember the name of) may have had an awful artstyle, but atleast the animation looked clean enough. THIS however, I can't imagine could look good in motion, regardless of how smooth it is.
The MCU’s animated shows art styles have been ok to horrendous. ‘What If’ being the the worst being the worst contender. I really don’t expect much from YFN.
@@TruePopCulture7 Wait, you think What If has a worse art style than Spider-Man 2017, or are you not counting SM17 because it's technically not MCU related even if it is heavily impacted based on the MCUs direction?
I'm a simple guy, if it has nice shading and smooth animations and the character designs are "close enough", then just visually speaking, I'm happy. Maybe you just don't like "basic-level" CGI animated series compared to drawn animation?
@@Hadeks_Marow I’m not counting SM17 as MCU related. What if launched on Disney + & has some MCU actors from the movies doing voice over, such a let down.
@@TruePopCulture7 So if SM2017 doesn't count as one of the "MCU’s animated shows", then besides What If, what else does? Because by that labeling, I would assume What If is the only "MCU animated show" disney has put out, no?
@@Hadeks_Marow X-Men 97 might count, when Kevin Feige & the MCU head of animation is involved, Brad.
But yeah, Mainly What IF season 1 & 2, season 3 soon to be realised. Marvel zombies that’s coming up. Also Eyes of Wakanda. All of them are gonna be terrible. The animation in them is incredibly lifeless. The expressions are just not as good as drawn animation.
Has there been any Marvel Disney cartoons that come even close to spectacular Spider-Man or Avengers: earth’s mightiest heroes level? This is so sad.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised look what they did to marvel Spider-man animated series. That show was terrible and they change a lot of things like I heard that they made Vulture into the green wtf. It was definitely bad timing for friendly neighborhood Spider-man given the success of X-men 97. Because of the success of X-men 97 people want we all want Spider-man 98. And that was before Spider-man made a cameo in X-men 97.
When I heard this show wasn’t going to be a prequel for spider man I lost all of my excitement for the show in a blink of an eye. And from what I see that the right choice
Just revive Spectacular. People want that show to come back, it's a big hit and would instantly get ppl watching.
I’d prefer a Spider-man 98 series but I’m not holding judgment till I see the series.
Over this I’d take a 98 series any day. Fair enough.
Yikes, this show might turn out to be a disaster
Just like every other disaster from the MCU. At this point some of the sony spiderman related tv shows might be better.

Indeed it does. The question is, will it be better than its predecessor? Spider-Man 2017. It was terrible so it’s not a high bar.

Nitpicking? Why thank you, I try to be as detailed as possible.
Who gives af if the show has a gay character? Other gay people. They’re always preachy & cringe in modern pop culture.
While me, I just think it’s a sign the writing quality will be terrible.
