Sad story because he was such a talent. I remember when him & Kane were the top 2 young strikers in the league. Could even argue Saido was #1 & Kane #2

    • @FreedomReigns99

@@zacmirza6498 Debatable. Remember at the time Kane was doing it at a team that was constantly battling for top 4-6. Saido was doing it a team constantly battling to stay up. And ended up getting relegated as soon as he left, and they ain't been back since 🤷🏾‍♂️ Needless to say who turned out to be the better player, but at the time, it was defo debatable.

@@zacmirza6498 yh and up until about November of that season 14/15 saido had about 15 premier league goals 5 from previous season and about 10 that season, Kane at that point had only scored 1 it was only when he went on a run of scoring in Europe league poch put him in the team in the prem in mid or early November because he had no choice and he worked hard on his game and as they the rest is history

There is no fire without smoke. Its like hearing stories of James Milner being out on the lash every night whilst in his prime at Liverpool.... You never heard such nonsense. The 20% of true stories in the media were fuel for the other 80%. Berahino comes accross quite aloof and lacks accountability. He seems a bit of a 'joker', didnt take his situation seriously enough and didnt grab the bull by the horns and take full control of his life. He seems to have found himself in a great position in life but never realised the extent of it. Reminds me of Nile ranger, just a milder version.

This was such a refreshing interview - didn't shy away from his mistakes and was clearly let down by a system that's business operated and still forgets footballers aren't just commodities, they're humans too. Glad to see Saido on the other side of things and with a fresh outlook as well as the perspective which hopefully young ballers look at so they too don't make the same mistakes.

I’m Rwandan, a neighboring country to Burundi.
This lad had it all the movement, the touch, the finishing.
A clinical finisher, i was saddened by seeing the partying and “bad attitude” articles by the English press.
I felt he was throwing his career away, good to hear his side of the stories and see him well spoken and enjoying his life again.
He could’ve achieved way more in his career, but that’s life.
Nevertheless, thank you for making us proud, Saido especially your goal at Old Trafford. (as a Liverpool fan for 23 years).
Peace to you and your family.

His English was even advanced, but I guess that his attendance at a private school in Nigeria gave him an added advantage.
