Should have gotten multi-beam (defraction). the main problem was the mass amount of enemy units.
Edit: spent 20 minutes recreating as much as possible in practice mode and won when picking diffusion. kills off the chaff way better

I feel that it may have worked better if you bought a 2' (or even 3') upgrade for the crawlers.
Replicate alone is kinda pointless if they do no damage and they just die.

Yea mechrage is the most important one, then sub assault (or the other way around depending on when you get replica)

I Wonder if refraction would have helped. He had a lot of small units but you might have needed range as well.
